I just moved the bulk of my possessions yesterday for an in-town move, and it could not have gone…read moreany better. I was notified a day or two before about my moving team members--Gunner and Sam--via email; the email even had their pictures, which was nice since you knew who to expect at your front door. Gunner was the captain of the team, and he was punctual. He even called a little bit before the scheduled time to let me know that he was on the way. Though the remainder of the team was a little late, Gunner did not let that deter him and just got started by himself. He loaded the majority of my stuff by himself within 30 minutes. 30 minutes! Once Sam got there, they tackled the bigger items right away. They might not be professional movers, but I was thoroughly impressed that they were able to get my huge sofa down a narrow staircase and tricky front doors (yes multiple) system without causing any damage. They had to reconfigure things a couple of times, but they were very cognizant of glass doorways or light fixtures that could potentially be damaged in the process. I estimated that the move would take 3 hours, but they finished everything within 1.5 hours. They were so efficient and did not really stop for breaks, which is the first time that I've seen this for movers. I was only charged for the time that they worked, so all was good. Their enthusiasm while they worked was a nice change of pace. Moving is already stressful, so it was just plain nice to have movers who were courteous while still enjoying their work. Bellhops aren't professional movers, but I didn't mind because I don't own any fancy items like armoires for fine china or pianos. If you do have fancy things, Bellhops may not be for you. If you just need a helping hand with your move, I cannot recommend Bellhops enough. I've been telling all my friends already, that's how good they are.

This moving company is honestly pure Trash. I've moved several times over the years and I've NEVER…read morehad an experience this bad. I've also NEVER had movers try to charge me nearly $1000 to move a small 2-bedroom apartment! It took their inadequate movers 7 hours to complete a job that has never taken more than 3 hours (what we agreed on) to finish! Absolutely ridiculous. They kept taking breaks and purposely kept dragging the time out. One mover kept standing around just *watching* the other guy and was distracting him with conversation instead of getting off his OWN butt to do the work he was paid to do. This same guy dropped one of my storage cabinets down the steps because he was barely holding it. The Team Lead tried to warn him about that, but it was too late - ALL of my items were all over the hallway. They both swore that everything was placed back inside the cabinet and that I shouldn't worry. But nope! Once I was settled into my new place and took a look - several items were missing, including my expensive flat iron. I'm so pissed. The Lead was friendly and apologetic, but honestly didn't have the stamina to move items for an extended period of time at all. Lastly, they broke one of the legs on my bedroom chest. They also bent up the back of my portable closet. I called Bellhop (3) times DURING the move so that they could keep track of everything. And (3) more time afterwards. In the end... they failed to resolve this massive issue. They REFUSED to allow me to speak with a Manager as well. They took $100 off but still wanted to charge me $900! For a move that should have costed $400-$500 TOPS? Are you freaking serious? I have now filed a dispute with my bank over this charge. I want my money back for the extra they charged me. I shouldn't have to pay for your awful movers miserably failing to do their job properly or on time. FYI: Bellhop finds your movers last minute. They *do not* work for this company! They also do not provide them with any tools either. Like WTF? Don't waste your time with these unprofessional people. You've been warned.

Secondly, my husband and I were deliberately lied to about getting 50% off the next month's rent. I was having trouble creating a login to pay my 50% off for the month of September 2016 and I called in to get some assistance and Customer Service Rep referred my call to her District Manager and after getting logged in to my surprise I notice the adjustment had not been made. When I went to question it with Management he told me that I was not able to honor it because we had not paid the first and next month's rent up front. I explained to him the Customer Service Rep. had not informed us that we had to do that. She lied to management and us and said she had told us when we signed the contract which was a third lie. Management told me we had to pay the full amount and would not be able to get an adjustment no questions asked. We decided to vacate the storage today and gave them the required 10 day notice and was still charged the full amount for September storage. I handed Dana my card for payment and she threw it back at me after the transaction while management was standing there and nothing was said. This is bad business, bad behaviors, deceitful and an awful experience, these folks are liars and hustlers and please beware of scams like this. #Bewareof liars.

However the storage unit rented was not clean nor did it have a door that was of working conditions.. had a handle that cut your hand every time opened or closed. Had I known before truck was loaded to move things in would not have moved things. Even with moisture damp-dry things still became molded. Damp-dry was replaced once a month. So between the mold damage- cost of Damp-dry containers- cost of unit it was not a good deal.. lower cost than others to start but not at the end. Cut hand several times on the lock.. I left there with damaged hutch and cut hand. But did clean it out better than it was when I moved in.. if your not going to leave things in long or it's not wood your good. One more thing payments made on regular basis each month same time, received calls twice that on the DAY they normally get check they, didn't receive.. then the office said "But we did not have any mail, maybe because it wasn't normal postman." What, like why did you call wait till next day or two days after.. but the day we normally get it we didn't! Still wasn't late because I paid a month before each due date.

Then she ask if my tongue weight was 4000 lbs I said no 8000 lbs and the system finally allowed it. Then she ask if I wanted the insurance and I declined. Then she had issues again and this even took longer. I ask whats the problem now and she said she made a mistake and added the insurance and can't get it out . I said how much is it she said $8.00 because she was having so many issues I said to her don't worry about it I'll take for today however I may not have the trailer back for a few days because tomorrow is Easter and I don't want to pay anymore then $8.00 for today only! She also said she was not open tomorrow (Easter) that she would not charge me for if I had came back on Monday morning. I could not get it back until Tuesday morning. I Received a phone call from the lady there at the U haul location asking if I was going to return the trailer today and I said I was driving to her at that time, I would be there in about 20 minutes. and she said she was leaving to take her grandson to the dentist and the office would be closed for me to drop off the trailer and when she returned that afternoon she would check it in. I said that would be fine but I wanted to make sure I was not charged for that day to. She said because it is around the same time I picked the equipment up on Saturday I would not be charged for that day. I checked My account and she charged my card $66.73 (pending) Then $190.17 and another $74.73 a day later the $66.73 Dropped off. However the total she should have charged me was $54.95 x 3 days = $164.85 Plus the 1 day insurance of $8.00 totaling $172.85 I call her to talk about the charges and she gave me such a hard time saying that I didn't get the trailer back until after 12:00 noon because she did not leave to take her grandson to the dentist until then I said wait a minute you called me at 9.23 and I was on my way there and got there in less then 20 minutes and you were already gone and the office had a note on the door saying the office was closed and would reopen later this afternoon. I agree to pay for Sunday Easter even though she said she would not charge me and Monday but I dropped the trailer off on Tuesday about the same time I took it on Saturday 3/31/18 she also charge $8.00 a day for 4 days when I only agreed to pay for 1 day because she had so many issues trying to fix her mistake of adding it to the contract. I have disputed my credit card because I asked her to call me back after she talk to her field supervisor or I will be putting complaints online. I have not received any phone calls. and this is why I disputed my card. If this does not get resolved soon I will be forced to file complaints with Google, Yelp, The complaint board, rip off report for the Park Hills location due to the poor customer service. PS: I couldn't even get any help hooking up the unit and I had a hard time plus The running lights did not work. I went back inside to tell the lady about the lights she was surprised but I ask her do you or your company check these things in she said this one came in a few days ago after we closed. I said maybe you all should check them out when you return back to work. Because I was there for a lot longer then expected so I took the trailer anyway. I pulled off the parking lot at 11:05 AM. This is how long it took for me to get the trailer with all the issues she had processing the contract. All I want is to be charged for 3 days and a one day insurance charge of $8.00 that I did not want in the first place.
