iPhone screen repair. Originally gave them 4 stars. I dropped my iPhone last night - first time for me, cracked really bad. I first went to a place up the street near 17th street they didn't have the glass yet, said it would be about $80. I stopped by here and they said $55 (when I was paying it was closer to $60). He said about 40 minutes, so I went and had some tacos at Tacos Cancun (excellent btw). I just wanted to get the phone going for another few months, until I have the $ for a newer one. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the new glass is considerably darker than the original. Like half as bright, I am guessing that this glass has a grey tint in it. I always keep my phone brightness at full so I really noticed it. I am a photographer so brightness is something I am aware of. He did a good job and it was $20 less than the other place, it will get me to the next phone. Edit - this new screen is so dark I just took away a star. This is not close to the original. I have used it for a while and I never would set my brightness this low. I am not happy with a dark screen. I have had this phone for over 5 years it is a 5s. It has never looked this dark before at full brightness. Nice guys here at this place, they did a good job but the glass is really dark. If I knew that a head of time I would have gone with the more expensive place. I just have to get to the next phone. I am getting more bummed by the minute. read more

Upon arrival there, they informed me that they didn't have the screen I needed... which would have been helpful to know before planning my time around going to their business. Their poor customer service LUCKILY sent me over to iSolution Repair!!! I called and got a response right away and thankfully I was able to drop off my phone and was quoted 30 minutes to fix my screen and LED damage, AND it was exponentially less expensive than the original place I had my appointment. My phone is crystal clear again and even has tempered glass protection and I was able to purchase a cute case as well! i brought in a mac that had a significant amount of water spilled on it (it was kept turned off and left to air dry for a week before i brought it in) and Tri suggested taking apart the laptop to clean the hardware. I'm a firm believer in honest and ethical practices in any form of business. Especially when it's concerning something that I use every single day of my life aka my phone. When a company uses after market parts and doesn't hold their obligation of fixing a product after giving them money... well let's just say I will never come to this company and hopefully none of you do either. I usually give great reviews, evident by my posting history and the number of 5 star reviews I give. But when you screw over people and hold shady practices, that's when that 5 star rating goes down to a zero. In this capitalistic society, you give money in exchange for goods and services. And when you do a terrible job of giving said goods and services, then you're going to get terrible reviews. Do right to your customers. I would not recommend coming here, especially considering the fact that there are a plethora of other repair shops within the area. Owner seems like a nice guy. I came here to get my Google Pixel 3 lens replaced after it cracked and he offered a good price. However, there was visible superglue inside the lens when he was done and I couldn't get the camera to focus. I ended up having to come back TWO MORE TIMES because the camera would not focus the same. The owner promised to replace the whole camera for only $30 more. I waited a week for the part, heard nothing, and finally called and he said he had the camera part. I go in, he changed the lens again, and it didn't fix the problem. He said he no longer wanted to replace the camera because he was afraid of breaking my whole phone. Huge waste of time and money that did not solve my problem. I ended up having to take my phone to a different shop for a camera replacement. read more

Tri at thi store is a very good guy. This guy is an engineer from Cal State Long Beach and just a very good professional. He not only will give you a good deal but will treat you very nicely and do a very good job. I have had four of my devices fixed. For one of them he didn't have the part he went the next day to downtown at eight in the morning just to pick up the part as I needed my phone fixed in less than 12 hours. I brought my phone in for repair. It had a broken screen. The technician working there diagnosed my smart phone to have a bad/exploded battery. He went ahead in just repairing a new screen. In doing so, he cracked the new screen when placing it onto the phone due to the batteries curve (it wasn't flat). Then he showed me the damage. Saying he now needed to order new parts to fix the mistakes that he had caused along with a additional fee for a new battery. Asking me to prepay $64 for these parts and unable to specify an exact date when these parts would be in. He just estimated a few days and gave me a hand written receipt expressing how I needed to bring a remaining $70 cash upon pickup. I went back and forth from this facility to my home on several occasions only to continuously have an unworking phone. He would place temporary hacks to fix the phone using items like scotch tape, rubber bands, and excuses. All leading me to drive to another phone repair store to have a working phone again. I tried to obtain a refund, but this man refused. He gave me the run around, asking to see my original broken phone screen and even when producing this item, he still refused. I feel robbed of my money and several days of strenuous hassles trying to get this person to make my phone operational. All to just go some where else and to receive proper and professional service. My phone was fixed that same day. I highly recommended to stay away from this business! I believe this company is sketchy, unprofessional, and steals your money. Don't trust them! read more

From the time I called this place, drove up there from my house about 7 miles away until the time they had my phone fixed was under an hour. It was $45.00 even which is about what it would have cost at Apple.
