We had a great dinner last evening at L'solotto Italian Restaurant. Located in a fun little area of Paris, there are allot of trendy restaurants in this area. There is allot of foot traffic so it might be a bit noisier than some but it's not too bad. The restaurant is nicely laid out, particularly on the second floor (check out the pictures), the food is amazing and the staff is very helpful and attentive. I had the risotto with asparagus and tomatoes and my wife had a pizza. Both were delicious! Deserts looked awesome but we had plenty so we stopped there. We will definitely return! read more

Wow, this place was quite a gem to find! We were wandering the streets and looking for a good restaurant option and spontaneously chose this place. We really lucked out. It was absolutely 100% delicious! My friend ordered Lasagna and I had the Chicken with Gnocchi dish. The flavor and sauces were out of this world! And, the desserts were mouthwatering. I wished I had ordered 10! We had excellent service, very attentive waiter and very friendly. While the restaurant is small and intimate, we didn't feel crowded. It is nicely designed and very comfortable. We loved this place and would return in a heart beat. read more

Nice place for lunch. We were there right after it opened and had no issues getting seated. There were no other kids here but my ten year old was treated well. Mainly French clientele at lunch. Our waiter spoke good English. We had a pizza margherita, gnocchi, and penne with eggplant. Huge portions that we couldn't finish. Good service. I would not say the best Italian on the planet but it was good. No complaints. I would recommend. read more

My wife and son enjoyed a very nioce meal here. It started a bit rough because we were at a 3 top that was in an awkward position and the waiters sense of humor was a bit roguh as well. However, after we saw that he was joking, we understood. My pork tenderloin saltimbocca was delicious! It came with tortellini that were fairly bland a bit undercooked, but the sauce more than made up for it. My wife could have eaten the salmon for the rest of the week that we were there. My son's pizza was also delicious which he was able to eat for 2 meals. My wine was also amazing and very reasonably priced. read more

This restaurant was excellent from top to bottom. The pizza was chewy & Al dente. The gnocchi melted in your mouth. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection along w the accompanying veggies and light sauce. The wine list was wonderful. I'm coming back & I do believe an Italian must be the chef. Had dinner at 6:00 PM on Saturday. Ordered linguine ai frutti Del Mar, one of the most expensive items on the menu. Also I ordered some red wine. The wine was good, but the pasta dish was very disappointing - tasteless, no flavor. I've never had such a gland pasta dish. Also, many dinners got their meals much quicker then I did. This was one of the few times that I didn't clean my plate. NOT RECOMMENDED read more

Terrible service! Condescending wait staff! They think they are royalty asked serve slaves or something. We had to ask for everything - please serve us water, please get us cheese for the pizza, please get us spicy olive as the food was tasteless (a normal French custom). On top of that the pizza was soggy, chicken scallopino was flavorless. Saving grace - Spinach ravioli was quite good. Go figure, our best dining experience in Paris was an Italian place. It was delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. Our waiter was very patient with the language difference and we could not have been happier. We started with the brochetta, which came out fresh and delicious. This was followed by spaghetti bolognese for the wife and Lasagne bolognese for myself. My wife was absolutely in love with her dish. Mine was very good, although I did find the meat the be a bit mealy. If you are in the area, this is a place worth stopping at. We were extremely pleased and we could not help but notice that everyone else in the restaraunt seemed to be as well. Great job Isolotto! PS- Thank you for not serving "Frites"!!!! read more

Good surprise near Saint Michel, where it is so easy to experience bad surprises when it comes to food ! The restaurant is owned and managed by adorable, all-smile Italian people, the pizzas are excellent if you love a thick and soft crust instead of a thin and crispy one, and the atmosphere is nice (many languages spoken all around, comfy armchairs and no rush to leave). Apparently pastas are delish too (according to me spying my neighbours). This is not the best Italian I've ever been too, but it's definitely one of the best I've had in this neighbourhood :) read more

Given that I went to this restaurant in between lunch and dinner, the service was very fast, which is good. My first impression is that the portions are quite large: I was only able to finish 2/3 of my pasta and 1/3 of my crème brûlée even though I was really hungry. Naturally, I asked for the pasta to go, and they nicely packed it for me. But when I asked for my dessert to be packed, the waiter took it from me, then came back saying that he can't pack it. I totally understand that crème brûlées are hard to pack, so I asked for a box to do it myself, but he said they don't have boxes. That confuses me because they literally just used a box to pack my pasta. He then proceeded to mix my crème brûlée so that it's all messy just to prove a point. I think that is very unnecessary, but I ended up saying it's okay and leaving it. In terms of the food: pasta was a bit bland but tasted better with salt. The crème brûlée's temperature is uneven; some bites are cold and others are lukewarm. Overall, the food is okay and it's a bit overpriced. Most importantly, their attitudes made me a bit uncomfortable so sadly I won't be coming back. read more

Me and my friend were craving some pizza after having some disappointing French fast food the last couple of days. Came to this spot with the help of Yelp and we were pleased with the food. Both of us got the diavolo, which had peppers and a spicy jamon. Nothing spectacular but better than normal. One pizza is pretty big, had to force myself to finish it, so I'd recommend sharing if you're not too hungry. read more

Try somewhere else if you are in the mood for a pizza. This place is NOT recommended I have nothing against the staff of this restaurant. It was the food. The pizzas were inedible. The crust had uncooked dough when we bit into it. This is unacceptable when the restaurant opens at noon and stays open until 11 - therefore the pizza oven should have been hot enough to have cooked the crust. The service was meh, nothing to write home about. It took several minutes of attempting to flag down someone to pay so I could get out of there. read more

We've been to this restaurant four times and each time the food and service have been outstanding. Isolotto is is one of the best Italian restaurants we been to in any country including Italy. My wife had risotto ortolano and really enjoyed it I had tagliatelle alle capesante e crema di tartufo and believe I have found my favorite pasta dish. The scallops were sweet and cooked perfectly. The truffle cream was amazing. When we get back to Paris we will stop in again. read more

It seems that their art work is of local student artists and they are for sale. Needless to say, I did not see the anti-American art work. It must have sold! On another note, they have one little tune on a loop as background music. While it may seem like I am nitpicking, picture yourself on hold with the same short tune on a loop. Have been coming to this area of Paris for years and somehow missed this. However will now always be back. Other reviews are right - great place to come if you need a break from French cuisine. It's (almost) off the touristy part of the Latin Quarter - with the 'classic' three-course set menu trash. Starters aren't cheap but large portions and very tasty. Pizza Diavola (not Diavolo!) was also good. The Primitivo (available by the glass or pichet) was also excellent. Limoncello on the house before I left just made it even more enjoyable! Americans best to spend your money elsewhere. Food and service are fine but there is a negative American feeling. There are 2 paintings on the wall. 1 depicting a medieval war but includes a lasso dragging down the US Air Force One - What is that all about. It's not art but a subtle slap at Americans.
