Natalie Buckman Pietre was awful to work with. She is unethical, unprofessional, untruthful, incompetent and has no integrity. She used our house on the weekends as her personal family getaway since it was near the beach and I live on the mainland. I guess she thought I would not find out but I am in contact with the neighbors on both sides of the house and we have a family friend of 30+ years who lives nearby and often came by to check on the house - all of them witnessed things and wrote letters on my behalf so I could file an ethics complaint with the State of Hawaii. A second person filed a complaint with them too about her after me and he even took her to small claims court and won. She didn't return a portion of his security deposit and had no receipts to back up her claims of utilities and other costs and he was awarded $12,500 but when she didn't pay, she got her account garnished all over $2,500 of security deposit. FICO fined her $12,000 in addition to ordered her 8 hours of Ethics training education as a result of her misconduct . I discovered food in the fridge, a full trash can on the street, children's toys both inside and outside the house, items that were not in the staging photos littered the house. I live off-island and trusted her to take care of my ohana but she did not. She has no scruples and took advantage of my kapuna who I had to move to a care home due to dementia. To deal with her misconduct on top of dealing with my family was stressful to say the least. I was informed by the neighbor that the "for sale" sign went up 3.5 months after I had signed a listing contract! She had a fiduciary responsiblity via our contact to market my property. Both neighbors saw her and her family at the home on multiple weekends, assuming she had my permission to be there (she did not). When confronted, she lied about it and tried to say the trash was from when I was there 6 months before emptying the house and preparing it for sale. It had food items that I did not consume...so then she did admit one of the items was hers which happened to be wrapped in a bag with the other items including children's crayon drawings (there were crayons on the kitchen) and lots of cleaning materials (when she found out I landed on the island, the neighbor told me she and her husband were seen cleaning the house). Interesting since she told me she had the house professionally cleaned for $1000 but never provided the receipt or any other receipts for other work she claimed she had outsourced. She sent a counter offer to a broker without my approval or review and made the asking price higher than what I wanted or advertised by $5K. She never asked my permission to give out the lockbox code (so she didn't have to drive to the property), and later our friend told us the gate was left wide open when no one was there which is a safety issue. We found boogie boards, surf boards, bicycles, blow up swim rafts, a BBQ grill, dishes in the cupboard (I emptied all of the cabinets 6 months prior) as well as dishes in a dishrack drying next to the sink where hand soap had been placed. She made a myriad of mistakes in contracts, even when I provided edits, she still missed them. She would habitually be late to our scheduled calls. Initially, she wanted to buy the house, then left my house off the market for 2 months while she delayed, had excuses, and ultimately changed her mind without referring me to another broker due to the conflict of interest. How could she represent me and herself? She later stated she was only in the house one night (lie). She didn't make me feel like a valued client at all. I have learned now through friends of friends, that they too had horrible experiences with her as a Rental Property Manager, and attempting to buy a house using her to assist. So it's not just me!! And you can't argue with the State of Hawaii, FICO! I would not recommend her to anyone because she only looks out for herself. read more
