My wife stopped here at the airport hoping to grab something quick to eat before her flight, and the experience was awful. The guy working behind the bar was one of the rudest people she's ever encountered in customer service--and she's worked in the industry for years. Instead of being helpful, he had a terrible attitude and acted like customers were an inconvenience. When you're working in an airport where people are already stressed and just trying to get something to eat, basic courtesy shouldn't be too much to ask. I honestly don't understand why a place would have someone with such a bad attitude in a customer-facing job like this. I've been wanting to try there pizza here cause it's $5 cheaper than California pizza but it's like $5 smaller too. So it's up to you if you want a smaller one come here. Nice friendly service. It was quite confusing because they had sticky notes on the menu that said "not serving". So we thought they were not serving any pizzas at the moment yet saw some guests with pizza boxes. We asked and they said they were only "not serving" certain items on the menu. We opted for the bbq chicken and the Hawaiian. The pizza crust was super crisp but NOT hard. You can hear the crunch when you bite into it. I like carbs anyway, so I didn't care. However, my husband is all about the topping and complained there weren't enough meat/chicken in the bbq chicken pizza. Some slices lacked chicken. For that reason, I couldn't rate it a full 5 star. They ask for your name and call out your name when your pizza is ready, otherwise if they remember you, they will walk it over to you. This place does serve alcohol/beer but we didn't get any since alcohol is generally overpriced at airports. read more

I had one of the worst airport dining experiences at Island Brews in OGG Airport. When I first approached the counter to ask about their hours of operation, I was completely ignored. No acknowledgment, no basic courtesy--just ignored. When I finally asked for a menu, I was told all they had was cheese and pepperoni pizza. That's it. No effort to explain further, no friendliness--just a dismissive tone like I was inconveniencing them. Despite the cold attitude, I came back about 90 minutes later to give it another shot. This time, the bartender (who somehow had even less personality than the first time ) told me they were no longer making pizza. I asked why, considering they were still open, and was told, "We ran out of dough," even though they were still open for another two hours. How does a place with literally two food options run out of them hours before closing? And more importantly--why the complete lack of basic customer service or communication? If you're flying through OGG, do yourself a favor and skip this place. You're better off with vending machines or packing snacks than dealing with the rude staff and inconsistent food service at Island Brews. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience here due to one bartender's behavior. I asked for a simple cup of ice while waiting for my flight. The older gentleman behind the bar was extremely rude and refused to acknowledge multiple people waiting in line for at least 10 minutes. When asked for help, he repeatedly snapped "no seat, no service," even though I was only requesting ice. One of the other bartenders, who was very kind and not busy, tried to help by grabbing ice. He immediately went to the back, ripped the bottle out of her hand, and loudly said, "NO, WE ARE NOT DOING THAT." She apologized to me for his behavior. When I politely asked again if I could just get a cup of ice, he ignored me and continued entering his tips. Watching him dismiss multiple customers in an airport setting was unacceptable. If I could give this place negative stars, I would. The woman at the counter gave me so much attitude when I was trying to pay.... And the man did the same to my husband. I bought their fridge sushi trays and my husband asked for chopsticks and the worker looked at him aggressively and asked, "for pizza?!" And my husband told him that he had ordered pizza, however his wife (me) bought sushi. He looked visibly annoyed and pointed in a general direction. My husband is such a nice man so it upsets me when people are rude to him for no reason. The Meh: *Service was expedientios and friendly enough, but don't expect to get wowed. The Ugly: *Prices are predictably high for what you get, but that's to be expected. Great draft beer selections and fast service. Not many tables but they move quickly and the bar is easily open for a stool. The pizza is good but it's prepared ahead of time and either kept warm or reheated, in either case, it's good but just not fresh from the oven. Good pit stop at this smaller airport. read more

Perfect spot to grab a quick bite and a drink while cruisin' in the airport. They offer some small bites, personal size pizzas, prepackaged food in a fridge with non-alcoholic drink options. They also have a full bar. They had a good selection of local beers, including beers from Maui Brewing. They offer 2 sizes of beers, small and large. I always opt for the large... why not?!? A large is $14. It's a small spot with quick turnover so you shouldn't have an issue with finding a spot. Staff was very friendly, nice, attentive, and made great conversation. I would definitely recommend this place and I'll be back if I'm ever back in the airport. read more

On November 19 2025, the bartender working at the Maui Airport at the noon shift was looking at my ID and said "it looks like you gained a little weight" right to my face. Luckly the airport staff and security helped me get in touch with the manager and we got things sorted. Very unhappy with my service, as I got the wrong pizza and the bald guy got impatient with me after I didn't hear him whisper my name once, then proceeded to shout my name extremely loud causing a scene in the middle of the airport. He did this to multiple people as well.
