Decor is a wonder! Loved the huge fish tank over the bar - you can relax there so very easily. Fun fiberglass sea creatures hanging from the ceiling - very definitely a fish place. Service was very good. Our server, Ryan, was knowledgeable, friendly, efficient. Notice I haven't said anything about the food - it was barely passable. I had the Trout Almondine, one of my favorite dishes, but NOT here. The trout was salmon-pink and topped with a sheet (literally one piece) of some sort of toasted almond paste. Very little seasoning, so it was bland. This is a very delicate dish of butter, almond slices and lemon and requires a deft hand - this was prepared with a sledgehammer. Broccoli was fine but the rice was a soggy, mushy overcooked mess. I'd go back for the bar scene, but would skip dinner. Made trip down to Bass Pro Shop on a Friday afternoon and decided to grab lunch. Restaurant has great decor. The day we visited they were severely understaffed. Could have been a disaster but food still came out in reasonable time. Our server (wish I had remembered her name) was so kind, cheery and made the wait and concern for low staff much better. It was clear there were only two waitresses who were also the bar tenders working the entire restaurant, which was sad considering we had a reservation of 14 people. I don't understand why the man loves this place, but I am less than impressed. While service is friendly, and the atmosphere is on brand for Bass Pro Shops, with the lovely gigantic saltwater fish tank, the food is not great. We got the calamari (which actually was pretty good), the shrimp dip (which had no flavor), the signature salad with grilled shrimp and the Caesar salad. He liked his Caesar, but my salad seemed pre-made from days prior. The veggies were not crisp. The cucumber was translucent in places, which equates to being old and unfresh. There was no wait but as we were being sat one server stared arguing with the hostess about not being in her section. They and two others proceeded to go to the hostess stand and point and argue about it. Then a manager came over to them and got involved. We waited ten minutes before anyone came over. The waitress was nice but we sat another five minutes to get water. The appetizer came out one minute before the food. The sandwich had no sauce and I tried to wave down a couple staff members both made eye contact and walked away. Four people were gathered around chatting at the hostess stand and three others at the bar area playing on their phones. Finally after about five minutes our waitress came out and I tried to get her attention but she flat out ignored me and my daughter stood up to let her know about the sauce. The whole experience was irritating. Her pasta was tasty as were the shrimp but it was so overpriced for the portions. Loved the waffle fries but the crab cake was bland and the bread tasted like it was way past expiration. Would have liked to have shared this with somebody but nobody did a check back to ask if everything tasted OK. Unfortunately due to my "name" when service is this bad I don't make a huge deal. And it just seemed like there was no teamwork in the restaurant or cohesion or any type of proper oversight and management of staff and their lack of hospitality. For a chain.... Wow... My husband and I went to this place here recently, the food was okay but the service made me never want to go back and I won't. We were able to pick wherever we wanted since literally no one else was in the restaurant, our server came to our table and already had a mood towards us for no reason. She asked what we wanted for drinks and when it came to me speaking she rolled her eyes and I was astounded because I gave her no reason for that what so ever. We brushed that off and continued being nice to her, she then came back and told us that the stroller we had was a fire hazard the way it was placed right next to our table (no one was even in that place) and was rude about it even though we asked her if we could move the stroller behind us and if that would be a problem and she replied likeeee yeah... we continued to move to a table right next to the one we originally were at and then shortly after received our food which was an okay meal definitely not worth it for the price and the service. A REMARKABLE AMBASSADOR... Dined at the Islamorada Fish Company Restaurant this evening and was extremely impressed by our server Keri-Lyn. She absolutely exuded positivity. She knew the menu front to back and upside down. When I tried to swap out my rice for more veg she deftly explained the Morada Rice in way I could not resist. The food ended up being great. What really resonated with me was Keri-Lyn's laudatious comments about working for Bass Pro Shops and specifically her effusive praise of owner Johnny Morris. She explained how well Mr Morris took care of her and the other restaurant staff during COVID when they were shut down. She went on to regale us about how he provides employees with great eye, dental and health insurance and gives the employees bonuses on HIS birthday. Happy employees nowadays are virtually extinct so Keri-Lyn and her infectiously upbeat attitude made our evening! Please give her recognition for a doing such a great job. read more

When my daughter suggested eating at a restaurant located in a sporting goods store, I was a bit suspect. Well, it turned out to be a great dining experience. I had the trout, which was cooked to perfection It was moist, tender and had great flavor. My son-in-law had the steak and it was cooked perfectly. The shrimp tasted great as did the green beans and rice. Our server was very attentive and took good care of us. We got there late, shortly before closing, but were made to feel welcome and were not rushed. They have a giant fish tank, lots of seating and it was quite comfortable. They do have a lot of fake fish hanging on walls, which is not really attractive. The ambiance is good. I will definitely return. read more

This place used to be great a few years ago. We come here every year at Christmas time and have eaten here for years. The service and food quality have really hit rock bottom. We came in today and waited 10 mins at the hostess booth to be seated, until finally the bartender had to come from around the bar and seat us. There was no line either, so who knows there the hostess was! The restaurant itself was filthy, food and trash all over the floor, unbussed tables and the staffing was obviously short. I watched 2 people come in and sit down and left because a waitress never came over to them. The food was mediocre at best, no where near as good as it used to be. Perhaps it's time for new management or something, but it is just no longer worth the price and wait. This will prob be our last visit unless they make some serious changes. read more

And well Emma's food was 2 slices of Totinos pizza, the $1.33 kind from Walmart, way overcooked and a hand full of fries. As someone who never thought I'd step into a Bass Pro Shops, this was certainly an experience! My family and I decided to try something new and headed to this restaurant attached to Bass Pro. We were in for a really big surprise because we didn't know what to expect. For one, the restaurant has a giant aquarium in the middle of it. It reminded me somewhat of the Dubai Mall, and I will say the decor, the open layout, and even the aquarium created a really nice ambiance. Two, we had the sweetest waitress. She notified my family of which items not to order because they had pork and this was without us asking. She was very culturally respectful which I did not expect, and it was really heartwarming. Now the food itself was good. Not amazing, and not something I'd come out of my way for, but good, solid food. I would recommend the cheese curds for sure because they were something else. I ordered tilapia and I wasn't a fan, but my mom had some pretty decent mahi mahi. My sister probably had the best choice which was their spicy chicken burger. The prices are decent, but just know that if you order an iced sweet tea you're getting the Northern iced tea without the sugar. Going to see the actual store afterwards was really cool, and I'd like to come back. It is beautiful. I think it's an experience everyone should have! read more

Me and my fiancé decided to go here after shopping at bass pro shops. We started with the spinach artichoke dip and some drinks the dip was spicy and buttery very good but not as creamy/thick as expected still highly recommend the dish. Besides waiting to get sat it didn't take long to get our entries after ordering and between meals and drinks. Both my finances mermaid water and my strawberry daiquiri were pretty good our favorite drink was the minnow and we both loved the fish shaped glass it came in. Our waiter Amanda was very friendly and had great table service we asked about the crawfish tails and she said they were great and we agree. The main meals were my finances pick two of crawfish tails and beer battered cod and my islamorada portofino, we both loved the crawfish tails with the sherry wine sauce and thought it had great flavor the cod was average nothing crazy but still good. With my meal the islamorda portofino the sauce was very flavorful and delicious I really enjoyed the seasoning and taste of the shrimp but wished more came with the meal (3 shrimp) the blackened Mai Mai was good and flaky they both paired well with the green beans and rice. Good food, incredible fishtank set up in the middle of the bar. Service was slow, and we needed to be fast. I got the Cubano sammich with a bowl of clam chowder. The chowder was perfectly done. The Cubano used pork that was more like ham than it was a good Cuban roast pork. Still, the flavor was good, so I can't knock it too much. Will say the hostess/waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. She let us know the exact time the snow was supposed to come and engaged in smalltalk with us... There were two other parties in the restaurant. It was clean. We were seated near the fireplace and really appreciated the warmth. Ordered fish tacos and sweet/spicy chicken sandwich. Food came out in a timely manner and was hot. Fish tacos weren't what I expected from the pictures on the online menú. Didn't expect grilled tilapia but I ate it. Tacos had little to no flavor. My gf liked her chicken sandwich but the bun was "gummy" from all the sauce that was on it. Fries were good. Water was good. Service was excellent. I gave this restaurant two chances because we bought Groupons for it and thought it would be a great deal. The first time we tried to go the seafood route. We had a calamari appetizer which was rubbery and thick and had no flavor. The shrimp was dry. The mashed potatoes that came with the grouper were dry and sticky and cold. And the grouper was. Nothing to write home about. The fries were dry and cold. Next time we decided that we must have aimed too high. Fried pickles appetizer. They were ok but did come with a lump of fried mystery meat included. When the manager made his rounds and we asked him what it was he asked us what it was. Huh? It is his restaurant! Anyway Process of elimination says it was probably alligator meat since the manager said that everything was cooked in one vat of oil. Vegetarians watch out. It looked gross and he didn't apologize. We have a six year old so we ordered the cheese pizza kids meal for him. The cheese pizza was about a quarter portion of the "Tonys " frozen cheese pizza you get for a dollar in the frozen food section of the grocery store. For $6.50 not including a drink. A total rip off but our child does not have discerning taste yet so he was fine with it. My husband advised that they couldn't possibly get a hamburger wrong so we both ordered bacon cheeseburgers. It ended up being horrible decision. I think they use the really really cheap frozen quarter pound hamburger patties that you get from the least expensive stores that use the lowest quality meat possible. I'm talking even cheaper than McDonald's. Perfectly formed circle meat. I felt like we were served cafeteria food posing as a restaurant and charging restaurant prices. This was awful. I had not eaten all day (too busy) and this was the first time I had had a chance to sit down. I still could not finish my food. Even the fries were not edible. I will never come here again, even if the fish tank is cool. I will make my own Tony's pizza for my kid and fry my own pickles (without mystery meat) and make real hamburgers and save myself $40 and an upset stomach. read more

Sadly, my updated review is going to be a lot lower than my first. My husband and I have returned a couple of times and haven't been thrilled. A huge pull here is the massive salt water fish tank. It's absolutely beautiful and I really enjoy watching the fish. Unfortunately, though, their food quality seems to have gone downhill. They no longer serve their warm, sugared rolls, and they have also removed many items from the menu, including the gator tail bites. I stand by my review of the clam chowder- it's thick, delicious, and perfect. The shrimp dip appetizer wasn't anything special though. It was almost bland. Also, it was served with bread slices that were so hard, we brought them home to use on our home renovation since lumber is so expensive right now. I've bent a few nails trying to pierce the bread, otherwise it's working well! My husband got fried cod, which he said lacked flavor and was too greasy. I had shrimp tacos that I thought were decent, but boring. I'm sorry to report we most likely won't be back. read more

Right amount of spice and I asked for a side of sweet pineapple sauce that I saw on the menu for the coconut shrimp. The combo was perfect! I will say for a place that gets poor reviews there was a 30-40 minute wait and it wasn't even a holiday! Don't let the wait fool you though if you are lucky you can wait until a table in the front half of the restaurant opens up. It's called the bar area. That's all first come, first serve. They are regular tables and nothing wrong with them or the service. Our waiter was very friendly and helped us navigate the menu and make recommendations on what to try and why. He said the alligator was fresh, but I wasn't up for my first gator meal just yet, but he did have several other excellent suggestions. I told him I'm not a freezer to table kind of girl, so his picks really had me focused on the fresh options and they didn't disappoint. And the bread..... The bread was amazing!!! I could have just had that for a meal! This place was a disappointment!! I was a part of a group of 6 who all wanted to come and try to alligator bites. They were so excited to try them that they waited the 20 minutes to partake. The restaurant was nicely decorated and the HUMONGOUS Fish Tank really added to the decor. I noticed that the hostess took the group of us to a secluded room. The group thought it was weird because we passed may open tables that could have accommodated our group. We got settled into our table and noticed that it was unkempt. There were used glasses in the window as well as on a podium in the room. The waiter came and took our drink order fairly quickly. With anticipation, the group was looking forward to order alligator bites. The waiter said that they were sold out! The group felt let down, since the sign outside mentioned that they were a selling point on the signs outside of the restaurant. The group settled on some calamari. The waiter came back with the drinks and he grabbed all of the glasses from the top of the glass when passing them around. This is a little disheartening for anyone who has to drink from a glass that someone's hands had been on. Within 5 minutes of ordering, the calamari came out. We were surprised at the speed of the delivery that we thought it was a mistake. We didn't think anything else of it, but we didn't have any appetizer plates. When we asked for them, the manager brought them to the table. In the same manner as the waiter, the manager had his hands all over the top of the plates that we were supposed to eat out of. When the waiter came to take our entree orders, one of us wanted to try the Bison Burger. That was sold out! Another wanted to try something else on the menu, but that was sold out! We just asked what was in stock so that we could make better choices. The waiter did the best he could to ramble off the items and their availability. The food came out and everything was hot. The presentations looked good and the food smelled like it would be tasty. Unfortunately, the food was bland. Most of the items needed to be seasoned so that it would have more taste. I ordered the Tournament Burger and I wanted the temperature to be medium well. When it came out, it was more to the medium rare to medium range. I asked that they cook it a little more, but when it came out it was charred. I also noticed my burger picked up some other remnant from the grill that was not there previously. At this point, I would not send it back since I was one of the last people to get my corrected food and try to eat quickly. I would recommend anyone who wants some baked macaroni and cheese to KNOW THIS...the mac and cheese contains carrots and celery and is topped with breadcrumbs. It is not overly cheesy. The taste was okay, but it was not what I expected when I ordered the mac and cheese. I hope this review helps someone else. read more

This seafood restaurant is attached to Bass Pro Shops, they have a beautiful aquarium inside that is viewable throughout the restaurant and have tables right next to the aquarium as well. The service is super friendly and helpful. The menu consist of mostly seafood but has a few burgers on it as well. I stated with Cheese curds which were tasty and had the fried shrimp for dinner which were also good. All in all a good experience. read more

The outcome was pathetic starting with the fact that the only fish dishes on offer consisted of one salmon and otherwise only versions of Mahi. I opted for a grilled Mahi with some Salsa . What I received was lukewarm (at best) with no taste. I gave up after two bites and then shared my wife's Cobb salad with chicken. We had onion rings for a side. They were only $3.50. Which wasn't to bad for a plate of them. The Brisket nachos were not was I was expecting. I was hoping for better brisket. We ordered the shrimp dip for an appetizer which was very good too. I ordered the salmon with green beans and mash potatoes. My wife had the bbq bacon wrapped shrimp.
