The salon looks very appealing when entering but sadly I was not impressed by the experience…read more Perhaps it was an off day for the stylist but the service was poor in that she was distracted. She was more focused in sharing photos with another co-worker -from her cell phone- rather than attending to the client waiting for service in her chair. The stylist colored my hair and then directed me to a waiting area never checking on the process considering it was my first color with her. I was surprised because she a a mature hair stylist who expressed to me that she was in the industry for over three decades. I do not mind paying for value but the service absolutely does not match the price attached to color and service. Even the labor -considering was poor- did not meet my expectation. The color barely on my head and it is beginning to fade. I use quality hair products at home and know how to make the color last but for such an expensive salon I don't believe that it is worth the visit.

I showed the girl 3-4 pictures with medium length (past shoulders) with wispy bangs and butterfly layers. I left here practically crying looking like Kevin Sorbo from Hercules. She took off 2 more inches than I asked for (and my hair was long/halfway down my back so there was enough for her to a healthy cut and match the style I asked for). She seemed very inexperienced and clearly she was, which is extra annoying since when I booked I asked for a higher level stylist. After she finished I was clearly unhappy and the other stylist came over and tried to tell me it's just the way she blow dryed it and the cut matches exactly what I asked for (even though every picture had hair past the shoulders and mine ends above mine). She then tried to "fix" the style but it looked basically the same after. At this point I just wanted to get out of here before I burst into tears. I was so flustered to get out I ended up tipping her anyway and I'm so mad at myself since there is not one thing I like about this cut. Cried the whole way home 0/10 do not recommend.

On April 12 my granddaughter went to this salon, Cactus Salon In Stony Brook, and had Gabby as her…read morestylist. She requested a color with pictures and was told yes it could be done. Instead, she left with a garish clown orange color, crying and upset. Numerous employees lied and told her she looked beautiful!! Look at the pictures and see if she got anything near the color she was promised?! Is that color beautiful? You decide. I had to call back and demand that she be brought back in the next day and her hair fixed by Gabby. When we got there at first, Gabby was super pleasant and helpful, but after one application of color, it still wasn't nearly nice enough, it was still patchy orange in spots. I told her she needed a second application and Gabby was not thrilled. There was another stylist named Mia who chimed in and tried to get us to leave after one application and go to a beauty store and get shampoo with color in it! "With all due respect" Gabby said! You know those are fighting words! I advised her that her client wasn't happy and she had let her client leave with clown red hair. Gabby did not want to do the second application and told me that this was going to be the last application that she was going to do. I advised her that the client would get her hair repaired. Anyway, we came to an understanding and Gabby had 2 other girls who she said were in cosmetology school, do another application with the help of a wonderful stylist named Dawn, in picking the right color and other bits of advice. Gabby does not know how to dye red hair, this has happened to her before according to others in the salon. This was a horrible experience for my granddaughter and for myself in both the application of Hair dye, then letting her leave with a horrible hair color, and them not wanting to fix it. If I, an experienced woman with hair salons, had not been there to defend my 18-year-old at her first time getting her hair colored at a hair salon, she would've just been left with orange hair and left to her own devices to fix it. I will never go there again and neither will my grandchildren or any of our family. I have attached photos. You be the judge. Note: The desk staff is amazing. Kind, professional and pleasant. The stylist Dawn is professional and amazing and saved the day.

I booked Eda for my July wedding, and when reaching out to her she was great with communication and response time. She covered all details of her services and fees and made everything so clear cut that she answered any questions I may have had with how detailed she was, you can see how passionate she is about her work. I first went for a hair/makeup trial for my wedding look at Eda's home and I loved every minute of it! Her studio is absolutely beautiful and super clean, and she makes you feel so comfortable during your visit. I had some inspo photos of what I was looking to have done and Eda brought those photos to life but even better than I envisioned. I love how she recommended certain styles and gave options for things you wouldn't even think to do. I adored my trial look, Eda was the best company while doing my hair and makeup, I would go get my hair and makeup done just for a date night because that's how much I enjoyed my services with her :) She is worth every penny!!! On my wedding day, Eda and her team blew my girls and I away!!! They did a fantastic job on us all, I let my bridesmaids choose whatever look they would like with hair and makeup and Eda's team brought their visions to life as well. I was so happy to hear how beautiful my girls felt, and knew they would be in good hands, not to mention Eda's team was so friendly and felt like part of the bridal party with all of the laughs that we had together, great group of ladies! NOW, let me rave just about how phenomenal Eda did on my wedding day hair and makeup. She made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world, we exceeded my expectations for my wedding look and I will forever be grateful to her. I was especially happy that last minute we decided to go with a braid in my hair (we did not do this during the trial) but on my day it popped out beautifully and brought my look together, even more, every time I look at my photos and see that braid I smile and this is what I mean when I say Eda will pleasantly surprise you with something you didn't even know you'd like. My airbrushed makeup came out beautifully, and I truly felt like a princess, how you would imagine a bride should feel. A HUGE thank you to Eda and her amazing team for providing incredible service to me and my Bridal party on my special day. I will forever be thankful that I chose to book with Eda and cannot recommend her enough. So what are you waiting for, go book now!!! :)
