We took our daughter here because we knew she was going to be upset about getting a haircut. The woman who cut her hair had absolutely no rapport with children, and only made the situation worse. The only reason she got a tip because she let my daughter play in the salon after the haircut. A complete waste of $25. read more

My sons and I waited over 40 minutes and decided to leave. The stylists (can't call them that) can only conduct certain types of haircuts on kids??? How do you get a license to cut hair and not be able to use scissors and buzzers? Meanwhile I'm watching other kids get out of the chair absolutely butchered so there was no incentive to wait any longer. One stylist spent 30 minutes on a kid who couldn't have been two years old - mind you he wasn't crying or being difficult. Just absurd. So all in all bad quality, unprofessional to make people who had an appointment wait that long. They have a HELP WANTED sign in the window - yes they need quite a bit. This is the first and only negative online review I've ever left that's how disappointing it was. read more

Today was my sons third haircut and I'm so happy to be able to say that I was extremely comfortable watching him get his hair cut today. The woman cutting his hair was so sweet and friendly and welcoming of us from the second we walked in the door! I have been to other hair cutting establishments for babies, one in particular where I felt extremely unwelcome and almost as if my baby was doing something wrong by crying over the fear of a haircut. I recommend this place 10/10 and like I said, the woman cutting his hair was SO Professional, welcoming, and PATIENT!! read more

Kid's Cut is great. $14 for a child's haircut is a fair price and the environment is so great. The play area is so fun, my kid never wants to leave. The stylists are amazing with kids and have drawers stocked with toys to help keep them calm for the duration of the cut. My son went here for his first ever haircut and they gave us a cute certificate with a lock of hair for us to add to his baby book. One inconvenience is that the business is CASH ONLY so make sure to stop at the bank first. read more

The hairstylist are friendly and are great with kids. My son has had his hair cut by Lorraine. We couldn't be happier. I went here yesterday for my son's first haircut, Kathy was highly recommended by people in my area (port Jeff station), when booking my Appt she was not there for the day but was assisted by Kellie who was great with my son. She was quick, patient and nice. There are toys in the back of the salon, once we were done we played In the area. After our appt about six more kids walked in, I would recommend making an appt if you're going on a busy day. I will be returning for my son's future cuts and I recommend this place. Last time we will be going here. The lady at the counter was incredible rude to us. This set a negative vibe which definitely caused our son to be nervous and upset. (He's never been upset at a haircut before) The rude lady was more concerned about going home early than making a new customer happy. We walked in at 4:40pm and they close at 5pm. The hair cut took maybe 5 minutes and we felt rushed and completely unwanted, we left at 4:50. My son was very upset because he couldn't play in the back for a few minutes. I'd think they'd welcome one last cut and say please leave by 5pm which according to the sign on the door is their business hours. The hair cutter was great but whoever runs this place should care about their customers and honor their business hours. Definitely should not allow that rude lady to scare away customers and flip the open sign to closed early. Clearly we were unappreciated. Next time we'll glady drive to snip-its. read more

I would never go back there again. The womans name that cut my 2year old sons hair is Kellie and it seemed like she was in a rush to finish. Every time she was going to say " all done" I had to point out the flaws .. like areas that weren't even ...and the specific hair cut I wanted had that fake part on the side and she forgot to do it.. so I had to remind/ask her to do it..she had a very cold personality and just wanted to get it over with.. I understand kids can be challenging.. I worked as a pediatric nurse so I completely get it.. but my son did better than expected for his 1st time at a hair salon.. he didn't cry at all.. I had high expectations of this place bc it is a "kids" salon.. but again I will never go back. read more

I called Friday evening for a Saturday 12:00 appointment and they gave it to me right away. I ended up being 15 minutes early and they took my daughter right away. They put on an ipad for my daughter to watch some shows. The hairdresser was very nice and had a lot of patience with my daughter's crazy hair. She have her a wonderful haircut and then put her hair into two braids that looked adorable! They have a great play place in the back for the kids to play in. My daughter didn't want to leave! Terrible experience. We made an 11:30 appointment for our 11 month olds first hair cut. We arrived on time and were told to play in the back. The play area was ok. We played for half an hour and watched multiple people go before us and some of them had arrived after us. We informed the lady at the front that we were leaving and she didn't seem to care at all. I got my hair cut here as a kid and wanted to bring my son here but I was horribly disappointed. read more

The place was very clean and the staff was nice. The front desk person was not overly friendly but she wasn't rude. I'd say it didn't make a great first impression but it wasn't the biggest deal. The hair dresser was very nice. My daughter has had trims before but this was her first real cut. I told her I wanted to get the baby hair and split ends taken off. She showed me how much would have to be removed and I thought it was not bad since my daughter wants long hair. Then she asked about layers. I said just something that will help shape. Well a lot more hair was cut then she showed and the layers are extreme. Luckily my daughter likes it and I think it will grow in nice. I am a bit annoyed that she did not do what we discussed 10 minutes after we discussed it. Also, there was no question about if I wanted it washed. My daughter was looking forward to the whole experience and she just sprayed her hair with water. Not the worst but I still had to pay $23 so if I'm charged full price I should get all that goes with it. The hair salon I took her to before this was cheaper and they charge even less if you don't get a shampoo, plus they at least asked if you want it. Not the worst but I'd say it's not where I'll go back. read more

My husband and I are both so happy with this place. My ten month old sons hair was getting quite out of control so we decided it was time for his first haircut. We brought him here and Emily cut his hair. He doesn't like when people touch his head so he squirmed, fussed, and cried through 90% of the cut but Emily was so sweet and calm with him and gave him an excellent haircut even though he wouldn't stop moving! We absolutely love his haircut and are so glad we came here. They had lots of toys and a dvd player to keep kids entertained, and they had cars for the little ones to sit in.
