My left ear was pierced without any issues. However, when it came to my right ear, the piercer asked me to lean across toward her instead of moving to my right side or repositioning me. As soon as the piercing was done, I could tell something wasn't right. It went in at an angle and became painful almost immediately after I left. My left piercing is healing fine, but I'm concerned about the right one because it seems slanted and may take much longer to heal. This felt like a preventable issue, as simply repositioning me or moving to the other side could have made a difference. Very disappointing overall.

The studio is easy to find, very clean, and comfortable. Jadyn is very conscientious and accommodating. I also really liked that he was fairly perfectionistic in stencil placement and in checking how the design was looking - really important bc he uses a lot of straight lines in his work! I absolutely recommend him, and I hope he gets lots of clients. One thing I always appreciate about here is how friendly, caring, and informative everyone is. Whether I have questions about anatomy or aftercare, they always explain everything clearly and never make me feel rushed or confused. And honestly, the piercing process is always way faster and smoother than I expect. I'll mentally prepare for it to hurt and then suddenly they're like "all done!" and I'm sitting there like "oh, that wasn't bad at all" haha. That's also why all my cartilage piercings (3 helix's, 2 tragus's, conch, daith, and rook) have been done here!

1/30/26 - Called about information for a walk in to get my septum and a pair of lobe piercings…read moredone. They were very informative about hours and pricing. Most importantly they were able to do the piercings I wanted the same day unlike the other shops I called. When I arrived, the store was empty, very clean and quaint. Just the two workers opening the store for the day. I filled out the consent form and about 10 minutes later I was called to the back by Melissa who measured my existing piercings to mark them on my other ear. Very happy with her attention to detail. Everything seemed to be sanitized properly as well, at least to my untrained eyes. She went ahead with the lobe piercings after letting me see the spots she marked using a handheld mirror and they turned out great. I had the same experience with the septum as well. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience here at Mint Condition and Melissa's work, and will always consider this place first when I'm ready to get my next piercings!

Unfortunately, the wait wasn't the only issue during my first visit. When I finally got in, the interaction with one of the staff members felt uncomfortable. I asked a simple, genuine question about whether piercings on each side have any meaning. He said he didn't know, which was perfectly fine, but the way he responded afterward left me wondering if he was being sarcastic or mocking me. It felt unnecessary, unprofessional, and honestly made me hesitant to return. These days it seems like you can't ask anything without someone turning it into something political, and that's not what I came in for. I did go back for a second visit, and that experience was completely different -- much more easygoing. I guess it really just depends on who you get. Still, that first impression was annoying enough that I've never looked back since. If you decide to visit, I recommend coming with a friend, especially if it's your first time. Having someone with you can help avoid misunderstandings, give you clarity, and make the whole experience feel more comfortable and supported.
