This company has poor communications skills when purchasing a vehicle, then when trying to get the same vehicle fixed. I have had nothing but trouble with this company from start to now finish. They don't supply a loaner as stated when fixing a car purchase through them. Good luck getting it fixed should it be needed. There communication skills are bad especially when your at their mercy waiting on your vehicle and no loaner. A loaner that is covered under a warrenty they sold you. Good luck getting a rent a car through the warrenty company from the warrenty they sold you. They don't know how to communicate at all from the salesman all the way to the service department. Because of their lack of communication they make you look impatient you have to bug them to find out when your car would be ready for pick up after sales and service. The vehicles are good but not worth the stress and hassle. Be prepared at purchase for all the extras pushed into the sale the price is surely going to increase. Good luck finding out what's wrong with purchased car and when it could be fixed. Good luck getting around with no car with a loaner they promise but don't provide. No wonder people seem impatient. Purchased a new vehicle on 9/20. We are Massachusetts residents and the dealership still hasn't registered our vehicle with the state. We paid a processing fee for them to do it for us- which they assured us they would handle. Not only did they not handle it, but I had to be the one to facilitate figuring it out after multiple texts and phone calls back-and-forth. If I hadn't reached out, who knows when they would have gotten around to it. This is both negligent and completely against the law. MA law states they have 7 calendar days to get it done. Our salesman repeatedly told me I was incorrect and it was 7 business days. If a dealership is not familiar with other state laws and rules, they have no business selling to those residents. We also left with the vehicle that Saturday being told they have everything that they needed to process. This was also incorrect and only rectified as I was the one texting back-and-forth with the salesman.... Sometimes days in between responses. Irwin has offered no solutions other than saying that they are "sorry for the frustration" and could provide a loaner car, expecting our new car to sit in the driveway until it was processed- no promised date. ...but couldn't expedite anything- even if they would be well over 2 weeks since purchase. We are essentially paying for a new vehicle we can't use, and could be cited for driving due to their inability to do their job. I requested my sales tax and their processing fee to be returned to me as I would register the car myself, and I was denied as supposedly it is already "processed" on their end, but they cannot tell me when they will actually complete it with the MA RMV. read more

I have never in my lifetime, and I'm old...paid 342.39 for an oil change and inspection until yesterday! Went to Irwin Toyota for that service. The charge for oil change was supposed to be $69.00 inspections $49.00 was charged $342.39! I made the huge mistake of having them change air filters. Apparently that service cost $232.00! So buyer beware... are the air filters made of gold, even though the cost per Toyota of America list the cost for about $70?! And I believe the 2nd was listed for about $40. So how do we end up at $232.00? The labor cost is also crazy at $249.00! Maybe things have gotten so out of control now, but I can only think, how much are the people doing the actual work making an hour? I checked current labor rates at Toyota dealers They go between $90 and $215 per hour! Their costs are completely out of the range for service done at dealership! Went in for an issue suspected to be the transmission. Was told that it was the rear differential and had to pay $2,400 to fix it. However, the exact same noise that the car was making before the fix still was happening. So they did not resolve my issue at all, made me spend $2400 on something that wasn't needed, and my car still has the same problem. Now I'm experiencing leaking from the rear differential axle seals and they will not resolve it as it is past their 12,000 mile/12 month warranty. So disappointed and let down by this company. read more

I've had issues there before with the owner being very rude yet they like clock work will send automated messages trying to get my to sell my car mentioning "lots of demand" for my specific car I'm not surprised with an owner that stupid they would pull games like this. Will not go back to purchase a vehicle or for service. Went in for a simple state inspection and was not given my car registration back. I first called hours after the appointment and was told I would be called back. Had to call three more times to follow up to be told on the fourth time they don't have it and if they did, it would be "in a drawer". I'm not sure why that wasn't checked the first three times I called. I was also told it would be stapled to the inspection report and let them know that I do have the inspection report and nothing is stapled to it and there are no marks..and was provided no explanation for that. No accountability whatsoever. Very poor experience for somebody who has bought four cars from this dealership and has used the service department for over 10 years. read more

Irwin listed a pre-owned SUV at a competitive price. I contacted the Internet sales agent to ensure the vehicle was still available and subsequently made the 2 1/2 hour drive to view it. After driving the vehicle and talking with sales staff we decided to make the purchase. I was then informed that the vehicle had not gone through the shop inspection/service prior to listing. I was assured that the service would be completed within the next week or so, any issues will be addressed, and it would be ready for delivery shortly there after. 4 to 5 days later I received a text message from the salesman stating that there was a problem with the vehicle, it would require $8500 worth of service and they were going to opt to auction the vehicle versus make the repairs. I understand that this is a business and decisions like this need to be made, but I don't understand why there was no mention of any of this prior to our 2.5 hour trip up to Irwin. Between travel and time at the dealership my wife and I wasted 7 to 8 hours that would have been spent differently had I known the vehicle was not ready. I will say that our salesman (Seamus) was friendly, polite and professional. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to secure our purchase so we were forced to shop elsewhere. read more

BEWARE! - read all the negative reviews before coming to Irwin Toyota. My husband and I brought our new Toyota RAV4 in for some scheduled maintenance, we have Toyota care and we're happy to find out they prioritize it. Our appointment was at 7am, took about 5/10 minutes for all of the staff to put their coffee down and help us. Unfortunately, we were taken care of by BRANDON FURBUSH. It didn't take long to realize that this kid was not in the mood to provide upstanding service like they claim. From the moment we walked in, we were accused we didn't have Toyota care ( we only bought the car 3 months ago and remember adding on the Toyota care package), he told us it wasn't in the system (he did not call Toyota corporate or look into it any further/ or asked management), but decided it was best that we drive back home and pick up our "purchase of sale" documents because he thought the package we got was dealer specific (giving out false information ). Of course we we concerned so we called the Toyota dealership we brought the car from and drove home. Our sales man called up us immediately and told us we INDEED do have Toyota care, Irwin Toyota is being negligent. At that point we tried calling Mr. FURBUSH back on his phone he provided and the direct landline Toyota. He was impossible to get a hold of, we called at least 10 times, hoping to catch him before servicing our car. After an hour and a half, another associate told us our car was done. After looking through the Invoice at the checkout, we noticed that they change the oil at only 4000 miles, but we found out through the cashier, Toyota's only need to have an oil change every 10,000 miles. Needless to say, they still decided to charge us $96 for an oil change and tire rotation. Upset, confused, and down right uncomfortable at Irwin Toyota we paid and left and decided to work on getting our refund communicating with this Toyota through email since we didn't feel safe at IRWIN. Once we got back home, we had a laundry list of unprofessional emails coming from multiple different employees at Irwin Toyota. They ended up apologizing for their negligence in looking up our Toyota care, apologized for selling us a service that we DID NOT NEED and bashed our sales associate who was on the email thread stating we indeed do have Toyota care Before you give this company money, please check if you actually need the services they are trying to sell. Money is tight right now and the last thing we need is our community members trying to steal from us. read more

Avoid the service department in the main dealership building. I have given them a chance a couple of times now, and it's put a sour taste in my mouth each time. In need of a state inspection, I scheduled at Irwin. Price for an inspection is $45 here (pass or fail) - it's gone up, probably due to inflation, but that's an assumption. Our vehicle failed for a parking brake issue that the previous owner has stated was the same since he got the vehicle, with no flagged issues through his 8 years of ownership - and he took pretty good care of it for a work truck. (I trust him WAY more than this service department). We were quoted $1,100 to repair the parking brakes/shoes (not rear pads and rotors - those didn't fail). I found parts online for less than $100 to my door, watched the DIY vid and feel competent enough to do it myself. Out of curiosity, I checked a few other quotes online (3 separate sites), all of which stated to expect to pay no more than $150 for labor and about $90 in parts. That may be low/outdated because of the current tough times, but that significant of a difference in price is ridiculous. To top it off, the wild goose chase to find my truck after asking where it was located, being told "right out front", then scanning the whole parking lot for 5-10 minutes tapping the lock button on my key before making my way back to the service desk to ask again. Turns out it was nowhere near the front - it was in the overflow area behind a completely separate shop. The guy leaving the small shop was pretty nice, so that guy gets one whole star for being kind. The other dept. gets none. read more

I decided to shop prices on a new 2021 Rav4 hybrid Limited at all NH Toyota dealerships and go with the one who gave me the best price. My goal was to contact each dealership online and get their best OTD price and simply go with them without shopping competing offers. Most NH dealerships were quoting me 2-3k under MSRP. When I contacted Irwin online I was very happy with the interaction. I got a quick reply through email from Amanda (their internet sales manager) with their OTD price and it was almost 5k under MSRP. Since they were by far the closest Toyota dealership to me (only 5 mins away) I was pretty sure I was going to go with their offer. But I decided it just made sense to contact the remaining NH Toyota dealers to get their price. After doing so, I confirmed Irwin still had the best price. The next day I emailed Amanda back. Since she was so quick to get back to me the first time I figured she'd be quick again. After all her email she sent me said in BOLD print- "I'm here every day except Frid and Sun". After several hours and no response from her I decided I should just drive down to the dealership to check out the car since it was only 5 mins away. I got to the dealership with 9k cash down payment to buy the vehicle. I walked into their sales floor and the first person who greeted me was a guy named Craig. I told him I dealt with the Amanda online and got a quote and wanted to see the car she quoted me. I sat down with him and showed him the quote I was given along with the stock number so he could look it up. After a minute of looking it up he left. I assume he went to talk to a sales manager of some kind. I really had no problem with Craig. He was personable and not pushy in any way. When he came back he told me the vehicle was already sold. I gave him the info on two other vehicles listed online I might be interested in. He said one of them was also sold and the other one wasn't even going to arrive for a week or two. I received a follow up email that day from Al Faro their general sales manager. I can only assume it was a generic auto reply email that you usually get from a sales manager when you've made an inquiry. He asked if Amanda got me all the info I needed and to let me know if I needed anything else. I sent him a reply pretty much stating my experience and that I never heard back from Amanda when I tried to follow up with her. I told him I was frustrated that I waited to hear back from her and by the time I took the initiative to go into the dealership since I didn't hear back, the vehicle was already sold. You guessed it...I didn't get a rely back from him! It gets better. I sent a screen shot of the Irwin quote I got to another Toyota dealership in southern NH to see if they could come close to matching it. I was told by the associate I was dealing with that is was a very good price. They asked me if I knew if Irwin had the vehicle that they quoted me in stock. They then told me in the last week they had two different customers show them quotes on paper/email t Irwin gave them of the best price they found. On both occasions the customer went back to that dealership because Irwin did not even have the vehicle in their inventory that they were giving the quote for. And on with occasion it was the same day Irwin said they didn't have it. Needless to say, Irwin Toyota's reputation amongst other dealers seems to proceed itself. I can only surmise that Irwin Toyota plays the game of baiting customers with extremely low prices just to get them in the door. The MSRP on the Toyota Hybrid Limited I was looking at was $41,170. Irwin gave me their out the door price of $36,231. When I showed this to the sales person when I went in the store and he told me they didn't have it in stock, wouldn't you think the first thing he would do is recommend another similar trimmed vehicle in a different color with the same MSRP for the same price? They gave me a trade value on my truck that was higher than I expected and the process was simple and straightforward. I went in expecting things would take a couple of days seeing it was Veteran Day. Instead I was out the door with a new 4Runner a few hours later. I had been looking for a few weeks and had visited other dealerships in the Manchester NH area that either had no inventory or worse yet advertised vehicles that they didn't even have. No disappointments at Irwin's. People were very nice and no high pressure sales people. It is a very well run family business. I am glad I took the time to check them out. read more

Irwin Toyota experience: Went car shopping back in August, took a new vehicle for a test drive at Irwin, liked it and sat down to discuss pricing. Was quoted the actual MSRP list price (zero discount) and was offered 10k for my trade. I stated Kelly blue book had my trade listed much higher. They said they use some other car appraisal service. Other NH Toyota Dealer: Ended up going to another dealership where i got the same exact car and features. (Actually same msrp) but the other dealership offered 3K less off msrp right on their website and I got full $16K Kelly blue book value for my trade. So saved almost 10 grand by going somewhere else. Irwin still has that dated car salesman setup right down to the sales manager stating demand is high, better lock in now with $500 deposit. They also would not give quotes over email and begged for appointments. Other Toyota dealer provided real quotes with discounts in email and the actual buying experience was so much easier. By the time I walked into the other NH Toyota showroom I already had most numbers and was Very happy with my purchase, actually drive my new car home that same day! read more

I understand that vehicles are currently at a premium and prices are reflecting the shortage. However, this dealership is marking vehicles way above MSRP. One example is for a 2021 Bronco priced at $71,600 (not even a 2022). This doesn't even take into consideration their exorbitant fees they add on. I'm sorry, but Ford does not make a Bronco that is worth this much. This is easily $20k - $25k over what the vehicle is really worth. They may find they can sell some of these vehicles in the short run. However, in the long run, I see customers not returning after being price gouged. read more

So I was truck shopping a while ago. I found a truck online the price was good it looked great I called and made plans to go there they said great it'll be here see you when you get out of work. I drove 2 hours one way to go look at this truck and it was parked out front. 2017 Toyota Tacoma double cab long bed SR5 and that really nice bright blue color. Before I made my trip I asked for a Carfax if they had any vehicle history on it maintenance and was told nothing but wonderful things they just put brand new michelins on it they said. So I get to the dealership and I see another truck that they had on their website in a dirt parking lot it was raining out didn't look too bad I drove in there and almost buried my rental minivan because this place was a swamp. Anyways got back in the rental minivan and floored my way out of the mud in over to the asphalt right in front of the building where the blue Toyota was. I get out it's parked right up front I look at it and I go inside to grab the keys tell them my name and a guy comes out and says it was just sold I said no that's mine have a deposit on it well some little s*** bag salesman said no I just sold it so I went off on him told him everything I thought and how s***** of a dealership they were because I left work early drove 2 hours to get here just to see my truck right in front of me and you sold it out from under me I want my money back and I'll never come back here again and I will let everyone know that the Irwin automotive group is a bunch of hack f****. On my way out I get a call from the salesman I was supposed to be dealing with about another long bed Tacoma they had with 246,000 mi 12 years old for $20,000. I told him to get f*****. So don't go there they're a bunch of hacks talk to anyone that's bought a used vehicle from them apparently they don't even run them through the shop they just shine them up and sell them. read more

This dealership lost a long time customer. Their service department is inept, rude and doesn't care about its customers. After knowing of an issue and it being reported Irwin failed to follow up with the warranty. Now that I am outside the window to use said warranty , they want to charge me almost 3000 to repair the problem when the vehicle is only worth 5000. Neither Toyota or Irwin care about their customers. I understand it's a business. I'm not looking for a hangout or anything free. I'm looking for accountability and courtesy, neither of which I received. Do not purchase a vehicle here, you will not be treated well by the service department. They are rude and brash. I bought my first Corolla '07 from Irwin's in 2007. Over 225,000 miles later, that vehicle is still running great and looks brand new. It was passed on to another family member just a few weeks ago, I know they will get many more miles out of that car. Many thanks to the Service Dept for taking such good care of that vehicle for all these years. My second Corolla '17 was purchased in 2020 with only 6K miles. Irwin Toyota earned a customer for life today. I recently purchased a used Tacoma from Irwin. About 45 days later I experienced a slight problem with the power steering. It turned out to be a set of relatively costly repairs. Without hesitation and without me having to ask, the service manager made the decision that they were going to make all the repairs at no charge to me. Although I was technically past the date of the limited term warranty, they did what most dealerships would not do...they took responsibility for the product they sold me. Not to be confused with the Sales Dept, their service Dept is a fraud. I relocated to the area with 3 Toyotas and love them. Now I know why the folks up here are saying the "kid" is not the man his father was. He definitely knows how to hire. I am shocked by the lack of integrity by Management. I brought my Toyota truck in for a routine service and sticker. I waited in the waiting room for over an hour wondering why an oil change and tire rotation should take so long. I was called by the desk attendant and told what the final cost was (including the inspection sticker) without saying anything else. I gave him my credit card and he handed me the documentation and I looked at it I saw a "FAILURE" on the sticker inspection. When I asked the attendant he said the sidewalls were worn unacceptably. I disagreed and pushed back. These tires were incredibly good. He said the failure was already registered and there was nothing I could do. Of course he had replacement tire documents already prepared and he handed it to me ($800). At this time I am thinking WOW - Nice communication! I politely said no and went to BJs to order 4 new Goodyear Wranglers. While I was waiting the two days to get the tires shipped to the BJs in Tilton, I checked the State website and measured the tires. No surprise - they pass. I took photos of all 4 tires (see below). When I replaced them at BJs, they honestly noted that the tires were still good but I told them to put the new ones on anyway. At this point, even if I went to another shop the failure would show up in the state system. I did, however, schedule an alignment back at Irwin for the next day (BJs doesn't do these). I brought in the truck and went to the (different) desk attendant to check-out. It was a whopping $144 for an alignment. After I handed him my credit card he noted that a survey would be sent and he would appreciate a good review. I said that it was unfortunate and showed him the photograph of the "failed tire". He was disturbed by the picture I showed him and he asked that I Email it to him (which I did). He talked me in to waiting for a minute or two for the Service Manager (I will not use his name). He sat me down and noted that the technician who failed the truck was very new and had just completed his state inspection training the week before my visit. He also noted that this entire issue was my fault. I was intrigued and asked why. He noted that I should have insisted that he be involved with the original disputed failure. I noted that I disagreed with the desk attendant and he immediately shut me down. I asked him if he agreed that the original tires were good and he said it was impossible to say without the "physical evidence" of the tires. So after (1) Throwing his employee "under the bus", (2) blaming the issue on the customer, and (3) Denying any responsibility without the "physical evidence", I thought it best to leave. Guess what man? Inadequately trained employees is YOUR FAULT, and your inability to manage an honest dispute correctly is YOUR FAULT (too bad everything worked out for you except me buying new tires from you, or any future service or vehicle from you for as long as I live). I have found that guys with this lack of integrity only rise to high levels in organizations where this type of Management is endorsed and rewarded. Shame on the Irwin Automotive group. So make up your own mind - was it inadequate training or fraud? What I have decided is that neither answer is a good one for the sake of my truck going forward. Bad Management skills? Well as an ex-CEO, this one seems very clear to me. This guy went to some Management program I am not familiar with (where you learn to blame customers and your employees for everything - it's good work if you can get it and your management structure supports it). Irwin Toyota does not stand behind cars being sold on their own lot. Also, Irwin Toyota does not honor car gurus prices; be aware of this and call before you go. They were willing to sell me a Highlander for $18,000 and drive it home immediately, but when I said it was 15,000 on car gurus they said the car needed $4000 worth of work and walked me out to my car. They did not offer me any other deals or any reasons for this car being on their lot, being test driven by me, being sold to me, but then all of a sudden needing so much work I could not buy it. It was humiliating to say the least. Seamus played dumb and could not/would not give me any answers. He said he didn't know how the car dealership worked, retail versus wholesale, etc. I have bought a brand new car before from Irwin before; I got no respect or return buyer consideration. The only good thing I can say that I was happy with was the price they were going to give me for my trade. I was willing to deal with them but they would not deal with me in any way, or offer me other options. Shameful. I wish I had read all the other horrible yelp reviews before I went. It's nice knowing I'm not alone but I'm sorry everyone has to go through this with this terrible dealership. ***update: just bought a car from Grappone Toyota in Concord. So happy! They honored their offered deals, gave me a great price on my trade in, treated me kindly and with respect. read more

Jessica a few months ago with an oil change and to choose and schedule new tire installation. My service program participation points have earned me a free oil change along with another $20 credit. Also, Jessica went through great effort to find me inexpensive tires with a rebate. Good service at this dealership continues - I had body work and continue to maintain my Prius with oil changes and all points checks. Each time I find the service department helpful and their work is always completed within estimate. Recently, I approached the Toyota Certified Assistant Service Manager, Ed Wheaton, with the issue of my auto bluetooth not recognizing my Samsung cell phone. The bluetooth was cutting out unexpectedly. Ed and his team first tried downloading an update to the car radio. When that did not work, he REFUNDED ME the money it cost to do so. Then they spent a great amount of time clearing my paired device list, contacts, etc. and went through several rounds of pairing several service member's personal cell phones, playing music in my car through them, making calls from the car with them, etc. When I picked it up later and re-paired my phone (an act I tried with no positive result several times prior to going to Irwin Toyota) it paired and has one again worked with my auto bluetooth successfully for weeks. And THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR THE TIME THEY SPENT DOING THIS!! My loyalty to this dealership continues to grow. read more

Rating my experience with getting a new Lincoln on several parameters: * Price - 5 stars: by far the best quote I got from close to a dozen of MA and NH dealerships * Communications - 4 stars: deducting one star for minor delays in status updates that happened over the course of this transaction, factory order to delivery (which I think were caused by the factory) - but otherwise timely, proactive, and to the point * Responsiveness - 5 stars: there was a number of back-and-forths involved in the negotiations, and in every instance, the response was concise and instantaneous * Delivery - 5 starts: all in all, took me about half an hour from walking in to driving away in the new car, paperwork, vehicle transfer, and technology packages setup including All in all, my impression is that this a no-nonsense dealership which focuses on delivering actual value to its customers, and does it very well. Special kudos to Howard Cullen who babysat the deal end to end, and who had all the necessary actions completed before I even had a chance to ask. read more
