My wife and I recently bought a car from Joe. We liked the car talked about price and we agreed on a good and fair price for both parties. Joe told us the credit union they use offered us an interest rate just over 7%. Can't remember exactly but it was less than 8%. It took some work to satisfy the finance company with some proofs of income and whatnot but all was settled and we went back for the car the following week. We thought Joe was a personable guy and liked him but that was to our detriment. We stupidly signed the financing paperwork trusting what he told us was correct. Later when setting up our payments to the finance company we realized the interest rate was not ~7% but 18%!! WTF?!?! If he had told us that or if we actually read the contract (which is our fault entirely) we would have never gone on with the purchase. We feel totally stupid for trusting this guy and are now paying the price. Literally. Read everything you sign. I know that should be obvious but we clearly didn't and it will cost us an extra $2500. read more

Not a great experience. They advertised that the vehicle was 'perfect' and was not. Left me close to E on gas. Did not disclose a $572 doc fee...which later I noticed on the carbon copy was originally $325! Might take this up with the State. Since I was unaware of this fee, had to use Venmo and payed an additional fee that they did not cover. I should have looked at all the horrible reviews first! read more

**BUYER BEWARE** I purchased a 2014 volkswagen tiguan from Bladecki Auto on 9/2/23. I was told by Jordan Bladecki that the car had a clean carfax, had no problems, and the deal was contingent on it passing a NH state inspection. Jordan assured us that the car would "fly through" inspection. Well, I picked it up the morning it passed NH inspection (at R******** in Belmont). Upon driving the car back to my home state, the check engine lights come on. We had the car inspected the very next day in VT and it failed miserably--namely, six(!!) different codes came on signaling a wide array of issues from turbocharger underboost to tire warnings. Both the VT garage and the NH garage agreed that this was HIGHLY suspicious as the codes indicated completely different issues and came on approximately one drive cycle after leaving Bladecki's. We had signed a 1,000 mile, 30 day warranty and were having issues on day 1. We got a quote from volkswagen on the cost of repairs and it's going to be around $6,117 on top of the $10,626 that we bought the car for. And Bladecki Auto has refused to help pay a penny. I purchased a 2009 Subaru Forester from Bladecki Auto 3 months ago. They sold it to me with the gas tank on E and like a 1,000 mile warranty which is useless, and dry-rotted tires.. it was a decent price for a reason. A week ago the "check engine" light came on, so today I finally got to the dealership in Tilton. Basically the engine needs to be replaced, at a cost greater than the car's worth. Multiple people at Belknap Subaru, when they heard Bladecki Auto, they physically cringed. It was not a good scene. They've seen countless irritated and shafted folks that have purchased cars from Bladecki.. so much so that they actually told me Bladecki's time will soon be up.. these snakes "can't get away with it much longer." WORST experience ever.. they're just a bunch of snakes in the grass. Please save yourself some money, time, and stress by not shopping here. I don't know why it's taken me so long to get around to this... I'm assuming because Yelp wasn't around when I purchased my car. Anyway, when I was 18 I decided to finance a Dodge Neon R/T model from this dealership. I knew little about cars at the time so I had my uncle who was a mechanic join me. After looking under the hood, he said he wasn't sure how confident he was in the purchase but to at least have the ball bearings changed before buying it. In love with the car, I requested that they change them and then I'd buy it. I came up myself the next day and drove the car right off the lot. The very next day, I was at my uncles and he informed me the ball bearings were never changed - huge flag! Anyway, I went on driving the car, getting regular inspections, and changing the oil with premium oil from valvoline every 3k miles or less. In slightly over 2 years ( only a couple months after my warranty ran out) the car's engine blew. I've always been adamant about taking care of my car so this came as a huge surprise. That, and it being under 90k mikes on it, leads me to suspect I was driving a lemon. I may be wrong, and it may have be a freak occurrence, but it was enough for me to not recommend this company. read more

I recently called to inquire about trading in my current vehicle for a used one that was advertised on Bladecki's website. When I spoke to the man over the phone, he gave me a low offer for my trade-in value, which is understandable, given that they are a business. What was not acceptable, however, was the man's retort to my offer. He rudely said to me, "Why don't you do your homework first. Go get an education first, before you shoot back with numbers like that..." And carried on about he "truly knows car values because of his auction experience," and so on, instead of explaining the trade-in process to a potential customer. I find that his response to me was completely sexist, first of all. I don't believe he would have said that to me if I was a male or was speaking to him over the phone. Secondly, that is no way to earn customer satisfaction--to approach business in a condescending and arrogant manner. Does he talk to all customers like this? When I confronted him about his offensive "why don't you go get an education" remark, he hung up! I would never do business with a dealership that lacks basic manners, interpersonal skills, and has a sexist heir and awful demeanor. They should be embarrassed to talk to customers like that, especially being a "family owned business," and I hope people are mindful of their terrible customer service before doing business with a place like this! WARNING!!! Terrible scam artists, this may have been the place to go back then but not anymore. Word is the father ran an honest business and now the sons have turned it upside down. They were going to let us drive from 2states away to purchase a vehicle....to drive it back home and the day we were going to leave I asked another question about the vehicle....turns out they had it on their lot way longer than we were previously told. When asked about the mechanical end of things Joe told us he didn't know and that no mechanic of theirs ever checked it over. Then he told us that someone did check it over and it needed a new timing chain.....when asked how bad it was his only response was that it would drive off his lot.....but we had 5 hrs of driving to get it home. Scammers just auction buying and selling vehicles as is......not to mention that they listed all this vehicles bells and whistles and Joe didn't even know if they even functioned properly. read more

I had a really bad experience with this auto-dealer and it's couson - Certified Motorcars LLC. I left Boston at 5pm to drive 100+ miles to go see a car at this dealer after negotiating on a price. He calls me at 5:45 and says he needs all cash or bank-drafts (yea, like 26K cash). Nevertheless, I get it by calling my bank manager who I knew personally who directed me to a branch on the way that was open till late. I reach there at 7pm and he is off to Dinner with his friends, and comes back at 7:45 - he gives me crap about not having the title in hand or allowing me to drive the car back. My insurance had sent him all documents. I decide to walk away. He wants me to pay him to prepare all the paperwork. I throw the 150 bucks on his table and drive back. This dealership is all about father opening a good business but sons turning out to be just plain stupid and arrogant. Give your local dealer a couple of hundred bucks more, but don't do business here. read more

Well i went to go Look at an 07 tundra they had, and the battery was dead. Truck looked pretty decent other wise, so they promised me a new battery. Came back and bought the truck. Had an hour in a half drive back home and the truck just died on me. Pretty obvious right off the bat the alternator was bad. Had to get towed home. Got a quote to fix it and it was 600. Called Joe the owner and he refused to pay that much. So i got it fixed and it end up costing me 631 for alternator and new battery. I got a 200 check in the mail. There so called 30 day warranty is total BS. this happened to me the day i bought the truck. No way i would go back to this car lot. read more

I bought a car from them back in 2010. When I came back the next morning with a bank check they claimed that I owed them $300 more. The purchase invoice was written in such a way that even my bank didn't notice this $300 "fee" that was buried in the invoice. I negotiated with them but they would not budge on this fee, they knew I wouldn't back out over $300 as I drove 150 miles to pick the car up. What really made me angry was when the son refused to take a personal check for the money. He told me they needed cash and that they would personally drive me to the bank to get it. I refused and he finally took the check. The whole deal left a bad taste in my mouth. If they don't trust me with a $300 check then why should I trust them with a $10,000 auto purchase? read more

I spoke with Joe, the owner, about a vehicle he had. We discussed all the details, he said it was for sale 'as is', he picked it up at auction and just wanted to flip it without doing any work, but that I was welcome to come have a look. Which I did, and drove an hour to get there. Then was told I couldn't actually drive it, as it didn't have an inspection sticker. Which is fine -- I guess -- but the time to share that little detail is before the hour drive, not after. Not really respectable behavior, smells a little 'off' to me. Wouldn't go back. read more

These guys are honestly the worst dealers I've ever seen, I bought a Volvo s40 from them recently and I've had so many problems with the car already, problems that were with the car prior to buying it such as the AC leaking and problems with the sunroof. I purchased it for 5,000 under the claim that "We can't lower the price because the car is in such great condition and seeing that there are no problems with it, it is unnecessary." The biggest liars I've ever seen. I tried to talk to them about getting it fixed and they told me not to bother bringing it back. My husband and I also had a terrible experience and agree with the son part. We had terrible service! Waited around all day without even a courtesy call back regarding a car we were interested in. Also do not be fooled half the cars we looked at smelled like smoke. If you are looking for quality, professional customer service...this is NOT the place to go. Several weeks ago I was going to a local car dealership to take a look at a pre-owned Honda Element and, knowing that Bladecki also has one on their lot and was on the way, I stopped in to take a look. Joe Jr. showed me the car, let me take it for a test drive, and then asked what it would take to keep me from proceeding to the dealership to look at the other Element. I said that I didn't know, and he asked if $10K would do it. I replied that I still wanted to look at the one at the dealership. A couple days later I received a call from him and he insisted he wanted my business and offered to drop the price $500. That would make the offer $9500 according to my math. This price was towards the bottom of the KBB amount to expect to pay from a dealer which I thought was reasonable due to its condition. I told him that I was interested and wanted to take it to my mechanic a couple days later and to please have it gassed up and ready to go for that appointment. When I arrived to take the Element for the pre-buy inspection it was basically running on fumes. I stopped and put gas in it on my way to my mechanic's shop. He did the inspection and said that, although there were some cosmetic issues (broken door panel and numerous dents on the roof) it seemed basically sound with the exception of needing an alignment. Upon returning to Bladecki's lot Joe Jr. was not there but Joe Sr. was. I told him that I was interested, and he asked me what kind of money we'd been discussing. I said that his son had mentioned $9500 and Bladecki Sr.'s response was "nice try." He all but outright called me a liar. When he realized that the sale was at serious risk he called his son who was out on an errand and asked me to wait for his return. When Joe Jr. came back, he said that he had "proposed $10K to see if I was serious or not" and that it was not an actual offer. Who the heck does business that way? His father claimed that they had more into the car than the price I told him had been discussed so I wonder if perhaps Jr. had overstepped his bounds with his offers and was trying to cover that up. Then Joe Sr. tore into me about them letting me take the car to my mechanic and put additional miles on it in the process - not taking into account the fact that I paid both for gas and the inspection. I guess this is why used car salesmen have such a nasty reputation. read more

Another bad review for this dealer. I traded my car in and they gave me a grand less than what it was worth. HE said there there is no market for my car and they do not sell well. He said he will sell it for a thousand more. I checked to see what price he had online, it was selling for 2 grand more than he said,lies! Buyer beware! They are very helpful until they have you're money and then they could care less! Less than 48 hours after purchasing a vehicle from them, I started to have issues. I called and talked to the salesperson who sold me the vehicle. He said he would discuss the issue with the manager and call me back but never did. After waiting a couple of days, I called back and talked to the owner who basically told me I was SOL because I didn't purchase their BS extended warranty. My husband brought the vehicle back for them to look at and wouldn't you know it? They can't find anything wrong with it. They tell you that they warranty their vehicles for 30 days/ 3,000 miles (which I think is fair given the fact that they are used vehicles) but they do not stand behind their warranty! I've had the car for 2 weeks now and there is something wrong with the airbag, tire pressure sensor and the transmission. This place is terrible. I bought a truck a couple days ago i looked at it and said alright and gave him the money. He said they inspect it before and after before it leaves the lot. But apparently when the father returned from "the shop"he said the brakes were a bit shaky.. um alright. Well as i was driving the brakes were making my whole truck shake and my left tail light was out. I went to my mechanic and it need all new brake pads and everything. cost about a grand to fix. so apparently they didn't get it inspected after i was waiting in the office for half hour plus. They just threw a sticker on it and said its good when they got back. and the emergency brake didn't work...still have to get the abs fixed also.. They way they run their business is horrible and should close down or at least grow up and do business the right way. Also the truck wasn't even worth what i paid at all..make sure you check everywhere under the truck especially or have someone that knows something about cars go with you.
