I…read moretraded in my car a beautiful well taken care 2012 hyundai veloster + $2500 down for a beautiful laser blue 2013 hyundai veloster turbo. This was quite the upgrade for me. They told me it was in excellent condition .. They gave me a warranty on mechanical for 30 days... Well the day I drove it off the lot, I noticed a crack in the windshield and my rear window washer was leaking, I fixed the window washer leak. I called and visited the dealership and they told me they already fixed. Complete lie because when I went to have it looked at by Portland glass that was determined to be untrue, they just filled it in with some crappy epoxy. Then at day 35 I started having engine misfiring. Turned out I had bad plugs and coil packs which I replaced (150 bucks or so) then things got real bad when at day 45 the turbocharger blew on my way home. The dealer refused to pay to have it fixed. So I paid $2230 to have it fixed. Then 3 weeks later my engine blew. Cylinder 3 threw a rod right through the base of the engine block. Since I can't trade it or sell it in its condition I have no choice but to pay $5k to repair this car yet again. I was screwed big time by them, they refused to help me and be accountable in any way, they even ignored my calls and neglected to return my calls. Even my bank tried to reason and nothing. This business is horrible. Way to drain someone financially and not care at all (By the way they sold it to me with a leaking oil pan and there was practically 2.5 quarts of oil in the motor when they said it was freshly changed and full , (the oil was black and almost sludge when I changed it.) We had cash in hand, did not need to finance, but it didn't matter. She was a royal bitch and should take lessons from the salesman's dog for learning how to deal fairly and honestly with her customers. I approached the manager when I finally met with him about this and he was just telling me oh that standard procedure. We were just trying to get you a better interest rate, which is very excessive. Usually it's like a three or four pull's and you realize what the interest rate is if especially if they're not changing that much he said that they are gonna look at it all just the same, but it's my credit. I was never told that they were doing credit checks that much and I did authorize the first one. I knew that that was gonna happen maybe even two but to do nine credit pulls they stay on my report for three years and he's trying to explain to me it's not that big of a deal. Let me see how he liked it on his credit report nine times. That was my only issue with the dealership otherwise the manager himself was very nice very presentable. They got me what I needed. They got me what I wanted. They helped me dissolve my other vehicle which I didn't have much equity in so I appreciate them for all of that I'm just really disappointed in the credit report would I recommend And refer them? Yes I still would. It was just something I would be aware of walking in that they may run your report nine times.

On 7/16, I called again. Spoke to my sales person, Ellen, and again requested a refund of my deposit. On 7/17, Ellen called and said they needed my credit card info to process the refund. It's been 8 hours since I provided my card info to her and I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY REFUND!

These folks sold me a used car which Mike himself guaranteed would pass inspection and that it was 100%. By the time I got home the check engine light was on. I called the next day came in and they checked the Subaru out. He said it was just an O2 sensor which he said they could that day and charged me 80, there is three O2 sensors in the car and they only replaced one which was a waste of my time but it gets better (worse). Less than 12 days after buying the car my rear wheel falls off on 202 west which is a highway and without exaggeration wasn't the closest I've ever come to dying. People on 202 west had to swerve to avoid hitting me and went off the road. Grateful I didn't smash the Subaru and just got lucky in the way in spun out. I get it towed back to the great folks at Henniker Motors where they eventually let me know the plethora of things wrong with it. Cracked head gasket. Cracked oil pan and a bunch of other things. Which costed 1700 but this isn't about the money. This is about the fact these folks sold a car that almost killed someone. I then post on their wall explaining what happened and all they said asked me was "did I get a warranty"? They are such scumbags and I simply just want to inform people of this horrible business so no one else has to deal with this. He specified to the salesman he needed a new work truck why would they sell an extended warranty if it can't be used. After a lot of calls no calls back he had to go in, they recommend he bring it up and they would work on the truck and bill him, he obviously doesn't trust them at this point who knows what the bill would be He is on social security and in his 70's so money is tight.
