I spent 45 min with one of the sales associates. He even asked for my pay stubs which should be illegal. No legitament car dealer ship does such a thing. None of the cars have prices or specs displayed on the windows. I brought a friend who is a mechanic. He walked around to check out potential cars and was appaled about the cover ups he discovered. Stay far away from this business.

We did end up looking at several cars and trucks in person, both at dealers and for sale by owner. We saw several that interested us at Phillips Auto Sales in Chichester, NH, which is about an hour from us. We decided to go and check them out. Each of the three cars (SUV's and Vans) we looked at were all in great shape and appeared as the online ad depicted, unlike several of the ones we had seen at other dealers. We test drove the one we liked the best, and worked out a price with the owner of the company, Mike. No pressure there. Mike is an honest guy, and he and his father have owned this business for 40 years. I think they've been doing something right. When we picked up the car, it was spotless, and had a full tank of gas, and a new inspection sticker. Little things mean a lot. I will be referring Phillips Auto Sales to family and friends looking for a used car. You cannot beat the service or selection.

Both vehicles have been as advertised and are still operating with minor expenses after several years, we give Jay's an "A+" for those two vehicles. The latest purchase we've only had a week, the business is under new ownership. However Steve, our sales person, has done well with everything so far. We are owed a complete cleaning and detailing and they have reminded us twice that they are setting up a date we can both work with to complete that. At this time we are satisfied with the new ownership and the sales staff, but time will tell if the auto meets our demands. He ended up at Hyundai (Ioniq 5) and Toyota (bZ), but the folks at Capital City Subaru ended up giving him the most competitive deal of all of them on a 2026 Solterra, and it wasn't even close. In fact, the deal was as good as the very best lease deals I've seen on the forum sites where people brag about the out-the-door prices they're paying on vehicles. He texted me the contract, and there were no "gotchas," the fees were reasonable, and he told me the salesman he was dealing with, Josh, wasn't pushing him into anything. I spoke briefly with Josh, and he assured me they'd take care of my dad. I was a little apprehensive, as that's what we're always told, right? Well, it's been a couple of weeks. My dad loves his EV (this is the big thing), was super happy with the buying and delivery experience at Capital City, and today he received a check in the mail from them with the note, "we discovered you overpaid by $300." Honestly, I don't have enough good things to say about the people at Capital City. They honored the OTD price they quoted, didn't pressure him into any extras, and eliminated all the typical car-shopping/buying anxiety that one usually has when negotiating. It was a tremendous relief to have this transaction settled for him since I'm so far away and I know he needed to make this change. So I'm writing this on his and my behalf to just say thank you - he and I will be recommending anyone in the area to this dealership with zero hesitation.
