Dr Lee was very thorough with my dental care. Honestly I have been living POS lifestyle n years of carelessness cause my teeth to rot. I had a tooth pain that needs extraction she scheduled me right away. She made sure there was no pain during extraction and follow up with my pain status. She recommends me to do some cavity and only the necessary ones. She doesn't push for what not needed. She doesn't judge how bad my teeth are, which is a concern for most people. She tells me what needs to be done and that's it. It was great to be in the care of dr Lee and the one person who gave me the wake up call to start taking care of my teeth. I was looking for a new dentist in my area and came across Irvine Dentistry on Yelp! I was very pleased with my experience - as a new patient, during COVID-19, I felt very taken care of by the staff. The office is clean with proper precautions in place, such as plexiglass in the receptionist area, hand sanitizer, temperature checks, masks and gloves on all staff, and proper PPE. After getting my full mouth X-Rays done, Dr. Lee went over them with me, ensuring I understood what I was seeing and how to properly take care of my teeth and health! The cleaning felt very thorough, yet she and the assistants were gentle with me the whole time and made sure I was comfortable and not in pain! Out of over 5 dentists I've had, I gotta say Dr. Lee so far is the best one! She's thorough, gentle and efficient. She also explained in details what the problems are and what needed to be done. I had two root canals done here and each time I was nervous but there was no pain during the treatment and also little pain after. I only had to take a couple of Advil the night of but didn't need to the following days after. Also, not sure what it is but I always had mouth sores after a dental procedure from other dentists. But never had one here. Also, the staff is caring because they saw that I was cold and brought a heater to my feet. No dentist office ever did that! The office is clean and they follow strict covid protocols. I'm usually the only patient there the entire time of the treatment and I rarely have to wait for my turn in the waiting room. read more

Irvine Dentistry was readily available through my insurance plan and conveniently located near me, my place of employment, and where I had plans before and after my dental appointment. Dr. Lee is the best Dentist I have ever been to. She's is super thorough in everything that she does. She shows you all the x-rays and teaches you how to look at them and what needs to be taken care of, so you know what she's doing for you every step of the way. She's super gentle. Every time I go to her I don't feel any pain afterwards like I do with other dentists. I really also like how clean and efficient they are during covid. They pay extra attention to detail, such as contactless paperwork. Checking your temperature before you go into the office. Using hand sanitizer and then using gloves before you go to the back of the office so you aren't touching anything. Dr. Lee's staff are all great too. Had an appointment with Dr Lee at 10am. At 9pm the night before the appoint I get a text from the office saying they have to cancel my appointment due to the Dr having a "family emergency" and that they'd contact me to reschedule my appointment. It's been a month and still no call, text or email. Either the "family emergency" was BS or they neglected to contact me to reschedule. This is a long overdue review, but I now must, especially after reading all the reviews on "Dr. Lee." I will refer to her by her name instead of the title; she doesn't deserve to be called doctor. I was a patient of Dr. Bui, Thanh Ha, for over 18 years, then one day when I checked in for my appointment, I found out she had retired and sold her establishment to Christianne Lee. I decided to give Lee a try, and, oh boy, that was one mistake that I forever regretted. Lee found cavities on seven teeth, which I didn't have six months ago under Dr. Bui's care. I was naive in believing her and agreed for treatment. On the same appointment, she drilled and filled three of the seven teeth. I went home, and after the anesthetic wore out, my bite was off. I had to go back four times to get it fixed, and I decided to stop using her service. To top it off, I too, like many others, got charged an outrageous copay for the bad services. Thanks to Lee's expertise, I now portray as a teeth grinder whenever I visit a new dentist. Please beware with this establishment; run out as fast as you can when Lee tells you your teeth need treatment. All she meant was that your wallet needed treatment by her greed. read more

I have now been to a total of 5 dentists.. Dr. Lee had insisted I had a tooth infection and put me on antibiotics for a week and refilled them for another upon myself request, believing I had a dire tooth infection. I am glad that my mother had made an appointment with a holistic dentist I had already chosen, and that dentist said I had no tooth infection. I went to an endodontist who also said I had no infection. The symptoms wouldn't relent and I got a CT scan for my sinus and it was negative... I got referred to another endodontist who affirmed there no issue with that tooth, other than there's irritation of the bonding and that was causative of all the swelling of gum. Then I today got a new holistic dentist who holds also a doctorate in naturopathic medicine, Dr. David Son. I have fibromyalgia that has been diagnosed this recent, and that is why I am with a dentist who is both trained in naturopathy and dentistry. I have seen including with Son, Dr. Ann Abdulla, Dr. Randy Garland, and Dr. Wayland Chu, all who have in this tumultuous medical time, that has turnt out to be fibromyalgia (from the incompatible bonding with my tooth) who have all said there is no tooth infection, and absolutely no need for a root canal. Dr. Lee's exact words were, "the tooth is dying". I have also looked at Lee's Instagram, and it is all concerned with getting followers and people to advertise, and making discounts. What doctor will make that many discounts unless they're desperate for money? I don't have the prescription anymore, or the device I took a picture in, but she called in the Amoxicllin under the name wrong.. She put it as Karina Slvovich, but my paperwork hadn't filled in and she took me in after hour.. She misspelt my name wrong numerous times, though, which hints carelessness. And when I brought up ozone therapy to her, she said she never had heard of it and wouldn't bother, because it "won't solve anything"... I gave her a 2/5 stars, because she took my case past hours after an emergency call, and she extended a prescription (that wasn't necessary, but at least she refilled it and that would've been a good thing if I ACTUALLY had an infection). She gets a 2 star for courtesy.. I would be very skeptical of Dr. Lee's ability to discern whether or not a root canal is needed, and get a second opinion. Dr. Lee's false judgment led me to extreme emotional pain, which surely didn't help my fibromyalgia symptoms, and my already diagnosed autism and ptsd, and wasted money for my mother. read more

Everyone has their opinion of what they like and dislike about their experiences. As for me, my parents live in LB; I live in Garden Grove and I'm willing to drive a distance for excellent service. Nothing is too good for my parents. So here's my experience.... Laurie (the front receptionist) is so sweet. Even though she's busy on the phone, she'll take that second to wave "hi" to you. She always help me book an early appointment for my parents because they're early birds. For some reason older people likes it early in the morning. She's a life saver. Dorothy a.k.a Thi (Dentist Assistant) is the best!! She is so nice and has such a big heart. I love how sweet and gentle she is with my parents. She takes her time to engage in a conversation with my parents so they won't get too nervous or anxious before any procedure. She is an absolute Angel!!! Love her!! Save the best for last as the saying goes....Dr Lee is a very respectable lady. She takes her time in doing the procedure that needs to be done. Unlike other dental offices, they would go in-rush to get out so they can go to another patient. That's one of the reason why I love Dr Lee so much. Another reason is that she explains what is needed to be done, what she recommends, and what is best for the patient. She'll give you her best recommendation and why she chose that option. Unlike other dentists, they'll tell you to do what benefit them. Dr Lee used to work in a different office. When I found out she no longer worked there, I used my secret agent sensory to figure out where she worked and followed her to her new office. Sounds like stalker mode...lol. But you have to do what have to do to find the best dentist and she's the one for my parents. Her prices are affordable (we're talking about a cash/c.c payment, not insurance). I've had the same dentist for 20 years in Torrance; but due to a move to Southern OC in recent years, I finally had enough of the drive and decided that I had to get a new dentist. In comes Irvine Dentistry and I am beyond happy. I cannot rave enough about Dr Lee and her staff; she's very professional, efficient, knowledgeable about her field, and does not lolly-gag (she's very to the point in her procedures). Additionally, she's very open about what she is doing at all times and is open about what is needed. The professionalism and knowledge is very high and above. Furthermore, I had a dental emergency some time ago where I was in a lot of pain but could not come during normal hours, Dr Lee was very kind about opening her office during a time/day it was supposed to be closed just to see me and assure I was alright (cannot thank her enough for this). The Good: -efficient/knowledgeable/caring staff -clean/welcoming office -you can watch Netflix in the Dental chair -fast procedures with minimal wait times -right next to the 5 highway The Bad: -only open some Saturdays -right next to some busy stores, so can be a little tough to park depending when you go Overall, very happy with Dr Christianne Lee and Irvine Dentistry. Out of all the dentists I've ever been to, Dr. Lee is the most thorough and takes her time to tend to her patients. I have been here 4 times and I never had to wait more than 5 minutes to be seen. BEWARE! As other Yelp users have mentioned, Christianne Lee bills the insurance for services that have not been performed or that are not needed. She insisted on doing a deep cleaning 15 months ago on my first visit however the entire procedure took less than 30 min and she did not even have to inject a local anesthetic because of how "un-deep" she went. 6 months later, I made an appointment for a routine cleaning. To my surprise, at check out, she asked me for a co-pay. I told her that I usually don't have a co-pay for a routine cleaning but she claimed that the cleaning she gave me was not a routine cleaning but a follow up cleaning hence the co-pay. Today, I went to see a new dentist who told me that there was no way I got a deep cleaning 15 months ago, which is exactly what my gut feeling was telling me. And now I cannot get a real deep cleaning until next year because she drained my insurance! Stay away from her! She is a crook! She deserves to be reported to the board. read more

I see I am not the only one that felt this way with the new dentist based on another 1* review so now what I've felt is indeed true. I was used to seeing Dr. Bui and went for a typical cleaning to be surprised by the new dentist. I was charged up the a$$ for numerous xrays that were likely unnecessary and excessive and I was already annoyed by how much radiation I was being exposed too..I've never had so many xrays taken in any dental visits.. this was the first red flag, and then she said I needed a full root planing and scaling and then her assistant tried to upsell me on some other stuff..antibiotic gel or whatever.. And top it all off, it was a rushed procedure and I'm hearing a full scaling takes half hour each quadrant..she did my whole mouth in an hour.. screw this place for insurance fraud!! read more

About 9 people I know, including me and my wife, all go to Dr. Bui, because she is just an amazing Dentist and person. Throughout my life, I have had many run ins with different Dentists and just about every procedure you can think of; root canals, implants, braces, wisdom teeth removal, etc., so I know it when I'm in good hands. Dr. Bui is VERY thorough in making sure all of your dental needs are met. She is very gentle and even does a thing with her hands so you don't feel the anesthetic needle going in. I had the best experience with Dr. Lee! My cap popped off before I went to bed and the next morning I called and they were able to squeeze me in so I wouldn't have to worry about my tooth! She was so efficient! I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to going to the dentist and she alleviated those anxieties instantly. Laurie was working the front desk and was very kind and pleasant! The whole practice works very efficiently which is nice because who wants to spend all day at the dentist? They also have TVs which helps with anxiety and helps make the time go by faster. If I could give Dr. Lee 6 stars I would without a doubt. I've been looking for a dentist that I can establish long-term care with for several years now. With many not-so-great experiences with countless dentists and as someone who also works in healthcare, finding someone who can be meticulous, personable, and caring was a priority for me. I called in for my first appointment Running late with a long drive to my 1st appointment I called to ahead of time thinking I would need to schedule for another time thinking Dr. Lee was so sweet and said they would keep the office open for me (I arrived 30 min after they closed!). The entire office was fully equipped with COVID precautions and super organized/spotless so my OCD self felt at home. While taking my XR, Dr. Lee took the time to get to know me and it was delightful to chat w her (such a difference from those large dental practices that hastily work on your teeth and don't bother to communicate w you). I really appreciated Dr. Lee taking the time to showing me in detail my images and what she was seeing. She was so efficient and diligent yet never nicked me or used too much force at all (which my sensitive teeth were used to). My first pain free dental appointment--didn't know that was possible! Don't let Dr. Lee's youthful looks fool you, she's been in the dental field for 20~ years!!! I wish I found her and her boutique practice earlier (like when I was 5). Is there anything better than 5 stars? If so, I'd like to use them all. I've known Dr. Bui a long, long time. More than ten years has she been my dentist. I've not met another dentist that is more caring (and more careful then she). It is like she is the patient and knows exactly what you're feeling when she cares for your teeth. Believe me, I am extremely lucky to find her because she IS that good. I've mentioned to my friends at work and at church about Dr. Bui. The ones that do setup an appointment with her end up keeping her at their regular dentist. I am very pleased with Dr. Bui. I plan on being a patient of hers until one or the other...
