They completed our unfinished…read morebasement with 2 bedrooms, large living area, exercise room, utility room, linen closet, under the stairs closet, and full bath. They were able to schedule us immediately once we received all the bids, and the project took roughly 9 weeks from start to final walkthrough. Utah Basements was the second highest bid received, partly because they did not do the flooring (which we got through RC Willey). Communicating with Todd was very convenient, and he responded quickly to text, email, and messages through the UBKB online client portal, where we formally documented design changes. Victor was on site most days and was extremely professional and very friendly. He answered all of our questions, gave helpful suggestions, and always contacted us when there was an issue or he needed direction. Once materials were in, the crew made fantastic progress framing, plumbing, and electrical. The rest of the process went very smoothly, with the minor exception that a bunch of paint touch ups were needed, but those were taken care of immediately. Overall we had a top-notch experience with Todd, Victor and UBKB, couldn't be happier with the final product, and would definitely recommend them if you need a basement finished!

After he left yesterday when I went to clean up after him, I opened the closet door in the bathroom and was surprised to see that he hadn't replaced the flooring. I texted him and he basically said I was the problem because he gave me a good price and that I was being ungrateful. I'm not going to lie and say he didn't work hard and try to do a good job. I think Richard lacks in customer service skills and maybe his abilities are not up to such difficult tasks. I was very disappointed that we couldn't come to an understanding about finishing the job because we had talked about more projects around my home that needed to be done. *I just read Richards response to my review. I don't like being dismissed as the problem here. I have an estimate and text messages to back up what I have claimed. The vinyl he says I was to provide was left over from a previous flooring job and was an OPTION to use not the plan that his estimate was based on.

Now, I had had a different drywall contractor come by and do some work for me before and he did an awful job (no names, sorry), so naturally I was a bit nervous about this situation. Especially considering that King's Peak had quoted me a much better price than the other guys. Obviously, I didn't need to worry at all. They did an amazing job on my walls, and they even took the extra time to smooth out some other spots nearby that needed some work. And they even took the time to fix the horrible job the last contractor did, at no extra charge at all!
