I used the 'request a quote' function on Yelp and King's Peak offered the best price. They also offered to come by within the week, which was great. Now, I had had a different drywall contractor come by and do some work for me before and he did an awful job (no names, sorry), so naturally I was a bit nervous about this situation. Especially considering that King's Peak had quoted me a much better price than the other guys. Obviously, I didn't need to worry at all. They did an amazing job on my walls, and they even took the extra time to smooth out some other spots nearby that needed some work. And they even took the time to fix the horrible job the last contractor did, at no extra charge at all! I would highly recommend King's Peak to anyone needing pro sheetrock or drywall work in the valley.

The first company was horrible, and we ended up hiring another company to fix their work. For the 2nd phase, the upstairs, we reached out to Kings Peak for a quote. They came in at half the price of the company that did the basement and the work was better. Sal is a master at his craft and our walls and ceilings are beautiful. The crew showed up on time, worked fast and cleaned up everything when they left. Would recommend to anyone!

My first words are BEWARE of Paul Benites Painting in the SLC Utah area if you are looking for a…read morequality, well-planned, attention to detail job! This guy has no clue what prep work and good sanding and masking are, and beyond blowing paint, his roller and brush work and final detail work is comparable to any bad amateur. Paul Benites himself as a painter is good at two things, blowing paint on flat walls and saying, "no problem" when you ask questions about his work. I agreed to have him paint the interior of my 900 square foot home in SLC in early November 2021, a good time of the year for drying. With top quality Sherwin-Williams it was over $5000.00 for labor and materials. Adding to this I had just had a professional drywall contractor patch and repair 95% of every crack in the ceilings and walls using adhesive mud, not spackle. That was $2600.00. I now have a $7600.00 job that technically needs to have a large part of it redone by a serious custom pain professional. That person is not Paul Benites. He is incapable of seeing what good work is! I have flaws and chips, paint peeling, overspray, and poor surface finishes all over the entire house! Paul Benites promised a 4-5-day job using a crew of 4-6 people. As it was, he showed up with a young female apprentice and left her responsible for the majority of the job. As hard as she tried, she was inexperienced in all areas of prep, cabinet disassembly and reassembly, roller and brush, and final detail. She and Paul turned my house into a nightmare of filth, dust, confusion, paper, and garbage, completely upsetting my wife, dog and me for two weeks. But that's not all! Their sanding and prep work was to put it simply, LOUSY. Their detail work was far, far below average. I was left with the expense of $5000 and a job that a professional would recommend be redone! When the job dragged on because of his one-person crew, he became anxious to go to another job, and she and he took a day off in the middle of the week, and then when they returned, they attempted to sloppily finish the work in a day. The entire project was a disaster. I have spent over a hundred hours doing their clean-up work and chasing parts, nuts, and screws for cabinetry that they irresponsibly lost the parts to and left some of the reassembly undone or broken! I still have walls with bubbles, paint chips in several spots, peeling, and areas where bad masking damaged fixtures. As written, he can blow paint on walls, but so what? After it's dry, the flaws appear, and he has no clue how to correct them. This man would be hard pressed to paint a flat fence without causing the owner grief. I have left him four messages asking him to come by and give me at 5-6 hours of his time and attempt to tighten up a few of the glaring flaws of this paint disaster. He has ignored me, even when I finally told him I would post negative reviews. Paul Benites needs to get out of the painting trade. He is a boy doing a man's job, and a far below average job at that! BEWARE! BAD! AMATEUR! SLOPPY! RIP-OFF!
