My go to spot if I want some range time. A good sized range in terms of the number of stalls and the staff is very friendly. A large variety of firearms for rent. I love how they are open until later in the evening since I don't get off work until 5pm. They have a small but decent inventory of firearms for sale. Mostly hand guns. The worst range in SoCal! Not only does the whole facility feel like it's falling apart and outdated, it feels unsafe. This range over charges on every thing worse than anywhere else in the state. You would think with all the money they greedily take from you, that they could put some of it back into the facility. This range randomly closes early, so if you live far away like me and make the long drive out, know that it is just a gamble, regardless what their hours posted say, I have showed up many times at 6pm-7pm for them to be closed when it's posted on google maps, their website, and the side of their building that they are open till 9pm. The staff have no consideration for you or your time and besides 2, maybe 3, very nice friendly workers, the rest of the staff suck and are total a**holes. My first time at a shooting range, and I was super nervous! The sound, and just the idea of a gun itself, but I was able to overcome it thanks to my group of friends, especially one person in our group has knowledge and experience about firearms. Immediately going in the store, we were greeted by Seth, who was amazing to us! (read below) As a newbie, we had to sign some paperwork for liability and went over instructions and training (loading the magazine with ammo, placement of hand on the gun, pressing the trigger and feeling the recoil). One of my friend, who was knowledgeable chose Glock 19 for us to try since that would be the easiest. We were a party of 6, so we had to do two lanes. We got 2 shooting target papers and a box w/ 50 bullets. (Forgive me , I don't know shooting lingo.) We also were given glasses for eye protection and earmuffs to reduce the sound. Everything was a very smooth process and we took about 1.5 hours from start to finish. We were content and we all had an equal share of shooting. Our total ended up being a little over $130 for everything, so that wasn't bad at all! I'd recommend for anyone to come to this shooting range because after we were done, my friend told me it's quite nice to have such a friendly staff because other shooting ranges rarely have nice customer service! I'm glad we had a good first time experience! Overall, Seth, thank you again for being so kind and understanding that majority of the group were newbies. He taught us the basics and went through each step thoroughly. He didn't make us feel rushed and made sure we felt confident and safe before heading into the room. He taught us proper placement of our hands, how to aim and even went with us in the shooting room for a few minutes to make sure we got situated. In the beginning, he noticed one of my friends was particularly nervous and acknowledged it and guided him through and complimented him well for his first time. With that, my friend felt more comfortable. He was only going to spectate, but ended up shooting and at the end, he said he enjoyed it and would try again! Thanks again Seth! read more

I can't believe we have been members for nearly one year and I haven't written a review yet. Because my middle son has an interest in guns and marksmanship, my husband and I decided to give this hobby a try. We came in as novices, joined a family membership and have been enjoying our range outings as a family. Everyone here is exceptionally nice, knowledgable and helpful. Very welcoming to newbies such as us. This facility is clean, safe and comfortable. We have our own guns, but we can rent as well as purchase bullets. They do have eye and ear protection for use as well. Its a great place to bring friends and family to introduce them to a new experience. I brought my nephew, who truly enjoyed the experience. My other two sons and daughter-in-law tried it out, although they are still a little unsure. This is a great place to promote marksmanship as a hobby and practice for home protection. Those of you who know me, know I don't drink alcohol or have a bar tab on my own. I found by coming here that having an open tab on bullets is the best open tab ever! Visited Iron Sights for the first time on a Friday around 5pm. It wasn't very busy and there is parking right next to the entrance. Note: your firearms must be unloaded and locked in a case when entering the building. There are also a few waivers you need to sign first before shooting, which all can be done online at their website. I shot a brand new GSG 1911 style .22 pistol, while my friends brought a variety of other pistols and a .22 rifle. They allowed us to use up four booths next to each other which was really convenient. There was only one or two other shooters in the place while we were there. They have a variety of guns for rent and for sale. Quite a lot actually. Some are available only for law enforcement. They also have military discounts. Just need to show ID. read more

Nothing negative to say about Iron Sights. The line was a bit long at opening, so we waited. No big deal in this reduced lanes and restricted activity covid environment. The facility is well run. The staff were extremely chatty and friendly. They had more than enough of the ammo i was looking to fire. Also...you can fire long guns (many of them) indoors here, as opposed to some of the smaller facilities. Made for a good shooting range outing with a buddy and everyone was doing their thing safely, respectfully and with a good attitude. Note they have classes for the handling and use of firearms. Have shot my 9mm here on numerous occasions, and purchased my 1911 10mm clone and my 45 ACP from them as well. The entire staff, and I mean ENTIRE staff is professional and well versed in fire arms, safety, range etiquette and ammunition. The Kimber I purchased from them was easily $100 less than every other store I looked at. Took the State FSC there and the purchasing process was less bureaucratic than I was led to believe. They had my CZ 97B in stock as well, along with many harder to find CZ models. Again, their prices are very competitive. There are newer ranges, but I prefer Iron Sights because no one puts on "airs." The typical posers that shoot at pricier ranges aren't here, and that's great. You can roll in, throw lead down range, and be on your way with ease. I have had several interactions with the young woman that another reviewer had a bad experience with. I have always found her courteous and professional. In fact, my experiences have been the complete opposite of what he described. I would side with her given the tone of his review. I will say, they do not stock more unusual ammunition i.e. I wanted a 10mm, they sold me what I wanted, but they rarely stock those rounds. It's a smaller range, so there will be times where you'll need to wait or come back later. Bottom line, couldn't be happier that they are close by. Came to check this place out after getting a new gun. I've always shot guns, even worked on a shooting range (shot gun, trap/skeet) but never had my own. Well, something terrible happened to me a little over a yr ago. The most horrible thing that can possibly happen to a woman. And I have spent the last yr of my life fighting tirelessly for justice in that case. Was just told on Tuesday, they want to wait until there's another victim. And their case is made for them, pretty much. In other words, I was having a REALLY bad day. As anyone would, after being told they're not going to get justice. Sadly, only 13 out of 1000 reported rapes get charges brought against them. I had thought I made it into that 13 & had that ripped away from me on Tuesday. Came to Iron sights to blow off some steam, so to speak. But safely, of course. Brought my 10 yr old daughter & brand new 9mm gun. Had a blast shooting. Checked out the reviews & picked up that this place was more laid back than some of the others. And since I just wanted to be left alone to shoot with my kiddo, that appealed to me. Shot 200 rounds between the 2 of us. And spent several hours doing it. Enjoyed the atmosphere very much. Good selection of products too. Only thing I REALLY didn't like, was when walking out, the female employee had to hit me with "how do you think you shot today?" And I so badly wanted to explain to her what brought me in. Was blowing off steam, not trying to perfect my shot. Just wanted to break in my gun & hide from the bad news I just received. So that def rubbed me wrong. But I'm not going to let one persons comment spoil it for me. I just hope she realizes that she really doesn't know what's going on in a person's life. My wife and I walked into Iron Sights last Friday and the level of service was off the charts amazing. We are novices and walking into a gun shop is not something we have done much in our lifetime and from the moment we walked into the store we were treated very well. I want to call out William as the first person who reached out to us. I had a 22 rifle that I inherited from my son who in the past was a loyal customer of Iron Sights. I knew nothing about this rifle and William explained everything about the gun including loading it with rounds, the safety mechanisms, gun safety overall and he answered a number of questions. After signing all the paperwork which is made easy by having it all on a digital screen we were then helped by Andrew. Andrew took me to the range and again went over the operations of the gun. He was exceptionally patient with me. I want to say the shop was busy, but Andrew made me feel like I was his most important customer. After shooting 100 rounds and surprising myself that I could hit specific areas on the target at the back and the building (20 yards) we again met up with William. He showed me how to register the rifle online and gave me some tips for how to save time. If I could give Iron Sights a 6-star they would get. They far exceeded my expectations. read more

My first time at an indoor range with a handgun. (I've shot rifles outdoors before) So I was a newbie and wanted to get the low-down. I think it was Tim who helped us- he explained all the rules- all for safety and showed me step by step how to load the magazine, how to close the gun and use the safety. He also showed me the proper stance and how to hold the gun. So I was very thankful that I got the whole run-down. We went on a weekday when it was pretty quiet (only one other group of guys next to us) and rented a 9mm Beretta with 100 rounds ($16 for 50 rounds) and just used the basic paper green circle target for simplicity. I was a little bit nervous trying to figure everything out and hoping the recoil wouldn't be too much. I shot my first 10 rounds at 7 yards and ended up getting 8 of 10 in the green. My husband was proud! It was much easier than I thought it would be- I hope to come back soon. read more

I also dealt with Drew.. he is very discriminate. No one is willing to order guns unless you are military or a cop. The other personnel I've dealt with don't know the laws and will only refer you someone who isn't available to help you. They will also delay your purchase, not explain, or help clear it up for civilians. Also, once you are cleared.. they do not follow up. Which I believe they do to collect their restock cost!
