Her doctors had her on a strict low sodium diet - Emerald routinely served her highly salted soup. She's a vegetarian so naturally, chicken was often served. She could not get out of bed to use the bathroom without assistance. It almost always took over an hour for the staff to respond to a call for help. They told her she should consider wearing a diaper rather than ask for help. The uncaring (or overworked, under paid?) staff made her life at Emerald Peek a living hell. She cried every day. My calls to the case manager were not returned. Once and only once, a doctor looked into her room briefly. I called to get the doctor's contact info. It was never provided. Finally we had no choice but to take her out without being discharged. DO NOT SENT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!
