If you want all of your belongings to get water damage, this is the right place for you!…read more When I originally started renting a 10x10 unit they assured me that it would be dry. I was not concerned that the unit would get broken into, and as they had promised it would be dry, I did not bother getting insurance. Moved out this past weekend. I had to throw out a barely used (less than 2 year old) pillow-top mattress because it was basically a giant moldy ice cube. All of our boxes had water damage. Everything had to be washed thoroughly or thrown out due to mold. I called management that day and they said they would never have promised it would be dry and that they can't do anything about it. If you have to rent a space here, please get insurance.

We stored our travel trailer here over the winter and were very pleased to have found this place…read more It has great security gate and is situated a good distance back from 32 mile road. The lot is crushed concrete but is well taken care of in the terms of the land being very level. Hardly any low spots and a good drainage from what we could notice. Our trailer looked as good bringing it home 2 weeks ago, as it did when we said goodbye for the winter. They have a dumping station and water so that we could blow out trailer before bring it home- how convenient is that. The automatic sliding security gate requires you to punch in your code to enter and to exit the premises. The price is the best in town, of the 7 places we called. My husband and I feel very confident with this storage company.

Never have I ever needed to consider a storage unit until recently. My husband and I moved in to…read morecare for his 93 year old Mom and put our furniture and belongings in her basement. The unthinkable happened during a terrible rainstorm and her basement flooded! All our belongings were in jeopardy. Fortunately, emergency plumbing stopped the flooding (sump pump failed) and a restoration company came the next day to stabilize the situation. All our wet boxes of belongings were emptied, dried out and reboxed. Our furniture was put up on pallets and when dried out, was wrapped in plastic to prevent a future flooding disaster. In the interim, my mother-in-law's health really declined. We knew then that our living arrangement with her was drawing to a close and we would be moving out soon. Rather than having the restoration company put all our belongings back in the basement once it is restored, we decided to take everything and put it in off site storage. This is where Storage Sense comes in! Beth, Utica location Manager, answered my request for a quote promptly via Yelp. The concern she had for our situation overwhelmed me. She made the perfect selection of a storage unit for our needs and gave us an affordable solution to our dilemma! I met with her under a very stressful time for me (mother-in-law back in the hospital) and at the end of her working day. She took the time to show and explain how storage units work, set me up with an account and relieved that immediate stress in my life. Storage Sense is not only clean, safe and well managed by Beth, but it also has a heart. Thank you Beth and Storage Sense for a wonderful first time ever experience with storage facilities! I HIGHLY recommend Storage Sense and the services that Beth provides at their Utica location!!
