The rooms look nice, but the booklets are a bit dated and confusing because a huge chunk of it is Korean music. But trust, there will be English songs if you keep flipping! We found that searching on the TV by artist was easier and even provided newer songs than what was listed in the books. I will def be coming here for all my karaoke needs. The only thing that might be missing is YouTube capabilities! If you're not having a blast, maybe you're just with the wrong crowd it's literally BYOB, what more could you ask for?

Overall we had a great time they had a nice giveaway for an anime I wasn't familiar with at the time so I guess they do events and collaborations now and then which my sister really enjoyed. Good Ice Cream and decent prices for drinks and snacks but I gave it three stars because the AC was not working eventually making it unbearable to bowl in the heat we just weren't dressed for it, and cold drinks only go so far. If they ever fix their cooling issues we would love to go back for another family party or a karaoke event that looked fun!

We had to call him to order food. When I told him my mom's sugar was low and asked if her food is ready, he said there were other tables and tickets and they follow as it is. Mind you, by this time it wasn't as busy. We asked if they still brought chips and salsa and he made his smart comment "we only bring if you ask" well, how was I supposed to know if it isn't offered? Especially if you're taking this long. When he brought my mom's food he said "ya se le va subir con esto" the comment was not appropriate as it was more in a mocking way, not nice way. I'm just happy the food turned out delicious and that my mom was satisfied. Just get better with their server part & confirming Yelp & call reservations. No point of doing that if we have to wait another 30 mins. My guess is since it was a party of over 6 ppl, top was included so whether the service was good or bad, they'd get their tip. Not okay. & it didn't make it better that the server shared he's hungover. & I live in Montebello but choose to come back to my original Kalaveras instead of the one near me. Just get better at your service please!!

It was a dead give away that Styrofoam was used because of the flat surfaces at right angles. Hey recycle, reuse right? I like it. Environmentally conscious tiki dive bar. When we first went in I got heckled by people that I assume were locals. They thought it was funny that I was taking pictures as though the dive were a tourist destination. Little did they know. I also learned about these old fashioned stove/bbq thingys that used to be around in all the bars. I guess now it's totally considered a health and safety hazard so they don't use it any longer. What a shame. I bet some killer steaks came off of that grill. They also had karaoke! Yay! I was sooo gonna give them negative stars when I thought you had to pay by the song to sing. However, I found that it is free at the Hawaiian Room. I guess the KJ just charges at some other, way lamer location. What really makes this place a must see dive? The pièce de résistance was their "B" rating from the health department posted prominently behind the bar. Don't believe me? Check out the photo I posted on the review. But who really cares right? "B" is still above average. Definitely a reason to hit Bellflower!

If I could give this place negative stars I would, or maybe it's not the place but the bartender who left a bitter taste for me and I will never go back and give this place business. I went this past Saturday, November 2nd to be exact. The cheap crackhead looking blonde bartender was the rudest person I have ever encountered in my life. She was rude to my friends and I the minute we asked for a drink. I am a pretty calm and shy person but this bitch dared to put her hands on me, she literally reached over the counter and shoved me to the side. Do not put your hands on people, you are very luck that you are not worth throwing a drink at and getting arrested. Leave your miserable life and problems at home sweetie, if you're working for tips .. you clearly are not going to get any with that bitter personality of yours. Continue to work the rest of your miserable years for some sorry ass tips because you clearly hate your job. I don't know what is going on in your life, but maybe you need a hug? We walked across the street to the ratchet bar and got 10 times better service, thank you bottoms up! read more

Great little bar. I went there with a few friends one Friday night and met Julie the red head bartender. She was the best. Very friendly, and professional. Was not rude. Made us all feel like we were welcome there. Ive been there a few times since and other bartenders were not so friendly. But thats ok, me and my friends go there specifically on Friday nights now just to see Julie and enjoy alot of drinks and the nice atmosphere that she makes possible. She doesnt short pour or over pour, which is a plus in my books. We spend a bunch of money in there everytime, but its well worth it. She has the best attitude. You can tell that she really enjoys her job. Thanks Julie. Me, my girlfriend, and Doug, Carl, and Todd love you. Keep up the good work woman. It used to be a fun karaoke place but now, karaoke starts only when the bartender says its ok and they dont even like karaoke they try to keep it off. Why advertise as a karaoke bar if you're now. The woman KJ is not even nice. This place used to be alot of fun! Not anymore. Just an old drinking joint.
