Great BYOB karaoke place! Had a blast here, and most importantly, they have tambourines!! Location: you will need to enter the area with the automatic doors leading to what looks like a mini mall inside. There's a small parking lot, so it might get crowded from time to time since there are restaurants and other businesses in the area. The rooms look nice, but the booklets are a bit dated and confusing because a huge chunk of it is Korean music. But trust, there will be English songs if you keep flipping! We found that searching on the TV by artist was easier and even provided newer songs than what was listed in the books. I will def be coming here for all my karaoke needs. The only thing that might be missing is YouTube capabilities! If you're not having a blast, maybe you're just with the wrong crowd it's literally BYOB, what more could you ask for? read more

The place is definitely old and not very fancy compared to most of the more modern karaoke spots I go to these days, but it gets the job done and is priced lower compared to the nicer spots. Apparently they allow you to BYOB and food as well which I think makes it even more of a steal if you were planning to eat and drink during your karaoke sesh. They're located in a relatively empty (in the evening at least) strip mall with plenty of parking. Their catalogue is old school where you flip through a binder to find the code to enter for each song, or you can use the control pad to search as well, but it's a bit finnicky as some artists may be listed multiple times with slight differences in the name, but you would have to select these separately to view all the songs available. We even had some trouble finding some extremely popular k-pop songs that we KNEW they had, but we had to keep searching under different spellings/names etc. Overall, a great spot if you're looking for some budget karaoke for the night but don't expect anything high-tech or fancy. Luxor is so convenient and amazing. It is close to freeway and $30 for 1 hour in small room on Thursday night (in 2024), with a spacious parking lot esp in the back. The music machine has a catalog of pop songs including Justin Bieber. They allow BYOB and also provide microphone protection, music instruments, strobe lights. While it is Korean owned and the music machine is in Korean, you don't need to know Korean to operate it. Initially a bit hard to find but thanks to Yelp, I looked up the pictures for what it looks like on the outside and found out that it's in the spa building. If you like to drink, this place is great because you can bring your own drinks. However the place is not the nicest and songs are not very extensive or up to date. It's a no frills kind of karaoke joint and the price is reasonable. There were a lot of songs I couldn't find that most other karaoke joints have. On a weekend, they had a room for us but it was a pretty cramped room especially for 8 people. They give you karaoke mic covers. I was worried this place was going to be bad - but I was pleasantly surprised at how cool it was! They have different sized rooms so you can go alone and practice or go with large group. My friend and I had so much fun. We had our room, and we were able to sing as loudly and as badly as we wanted. We paid $30 for each hour and stayed for about 4 hours unbothered. The bathroom was clean. The room was clean, too. The karaoke machine was easy to use. There were also good food places nearby. We brought in food and drinks and even a little speaker, so when we got tired of singing, we listened to music and chatted. We will be returning. Always enjoy my visits here. You can hear the other rooms but no one cares because everyone is enjoying their own party's company. The song listening are majority the latest per se, but not full up to update like other places. They don't sell food but they do have a cooler with drinks like soda and soju. Since the place is located in a small plaza, the food places open you can order food and bring inside the karaoke place. Tip is to always be mindful and pick up after yourself if you do bring in outside food. They take cash and card. I believe they have tap, but I have to recheck again. read more

I love the idea of a karaoke place. But they're all made to make you waste money. Once again the keyboard is in Korean. Designed to make you stay longer having a harder time to find a song etc. It's just a bunch of different rooms be prepared when you come here they do not sell alcohol. They do let you bring it in tho . Be prepared there is a liquor store across the street that you can walk to but for some reason their card reader doesn't work! Don't bother trying to ATM that's out too. Across the street to the gas station there's an ATM there but what do you know it doesn't work either. Unfortunately this mission was a wash but I will try to go back to this place next time I will be prepared with my own food and drinks. This is a nice place. There is a "decent" amount of songs to pick from but there were a lot of songs we couldn't find (just a few from each artist). The good is that they allowed you to bring your own drinks/snacks. I have to give it 4 stars if they added a bluetooth or youtube machine that would be perfect. A fun but basic place to come do karaoke. The prices are reasonable, and the best part is you can bring your own drinks in. We have been on two occasions. The first time it was about 9PM on a Saturday. We called ahead and they were able to put us on the waitlist and call us back. We were at a bar about 20 minutes away and they told us the wait would be about an hour so that was perfect for us. When we showed up about 45 minutes later our room was ready. Another night we came a about 7:30 pm and there were only a few people there, so we got a room right away. One thing is the control are in some type of Asian language, I think Korean. The first time it was kind of confusing but once you get the hang of how to use it, it's pretty easy to use. One thing I will say is that it is based on per hour usage, and they will not come tell you that it's been an hour so best thing to do is take a screenshot of when you get your room and then set an alarm. A nice local spot that I have been to with two group of friends and will come here again for sure. read more

The music selection is insane, we spent 3 hours there without even realizing it because we had so much fun singing the night away. Karaoke time, rockstars!! Excellent place to come and sing if you are in the area. The place is run by a family who are very welcoming. The music selection is not as expansive as my usual place that I go too, but it has all the favorites. The lighting in the room is great. They have a disco ball and you can dim the light and really turn it into a club. The equipment is easy to use and if you have any questions, the staff is there to help. Unfortunately, there is no alcohol being served. Have dinner and drinks first before you go sing! There is plenty of water and soft drinks if you want to purchase it. I love the big screen TV's that they have. High-resolution TV so you don't have to squint when you are reading the lines. The sound is great. The mics are quality and I suggest you test them a little because ours were a little too high for our liking. We called a staff member and they fixed the problem pronto! The hourly rates vary depending on the day. Friday and Saturday nights have a certain rate. So please check prior to you getting into a room. I will come back if I am in the area :) read more

I really enjoy Luxor karaoke, with their spacious rooms, accommodating staff, and fairly reasonable prices. They do not strictly advertise themselves as being BYOB, buuut they kind of turn a blind eye as long as you're discreet. Hey, if everyone is a little buzzed, there is a greater chance that nobody is looking at the clock, right? One thing about these Korean karaoke places is the confusing Korean remote. Luckily, you can google an English translation for all the buttons, and I figured it out through a little trial and error. Otherwise, it might be useful to bring a friend who doubles as a translator! Songs are hit-or-miss. There are a lot of good throwback 90's-00's songs, but it seems like their selection of newer songs has dwindled by a lot. The mics are very good quality, and the K-Pop music videos that randomly play with the songs never fails to induce hilarity. Definitely great for those times when you just want to sing and dance your heart out with your friends without the judgement of other people at the bar. read more

When I was in high school, I use to go to all the local Korean no-rae-bangs (karaoke) in my area. I thought they were all the same. Then one magical evening, my friend asked me if I wanted to go karaoke and led me down Pioneer Blvd. We went through Little India, past the freeway, and past the lights of Artesia into a little section of town that looked like a ghetto. We turned left and parked in a parking lot that housed a large Mexican restaurant, a pho shop, and a wide, short gray building. Inside the fluorescent lit building stood shops carved into the walls. And at one end, farthest away from where we parked, was a place named "LUXOR"! DECORUM: 4 stars This place has probably got the best theme I've seen for their name. The walls are painted and decorated like the bricks of pyramids. They have hieroglyphics and Egyptian art painted on the walls. Talk about dedication. The hallway is wide and has room to either side. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. They are clean and darkly lit, with options to raise or dim the luminescence, as well as play with a disco ball. The rooms come with tambourines and you can ask for more at the front desk. The seats are clean and the rooms are cool to cold. It is a great room. And how about this for flair. Some of the other rooms have a DDR machine in it. It's dance dance time! SERVICE: 4 stars This place has good service. It'll be much harder for you to speak with them if you don't speak Korean, but they are courteous and helpful. They usually won't bother you if there is nothing you need, so if you need something, go to them. You can smoke in the rooms and they also have drink and food service. I don't exactly know what the extent of their food service is, but I know you can order beer and soju there for pretty cheap. I like the drinking part because a lot of my friends won't karaoke without drinks in their system. So this place is a good way to get them to sing. Also, if you do want other food, there is a bar/restaurant in the building near Luxor. MUSIC: 2.5 stars Unfortunately, for all the goodness this place is, the music is not great. Unlike Japanese karaoke places, the music here isn't authentic to the songs. They're MIDI style instead, so it's hard to really get into it like you would with the actual backtracks to your favorite songs. The selection of American songs are also quite limited compared to Korean songs. The obvious demographic for this place is Koreans, but if you enjoy the older English songs and a few of the newer ones, you'll do fine. There is also a decent collection of Japanese, Spanish, and Filipino (tagalog) songs. The cool thing is you can change the style of any song into disco or techno. You can also speed up or slow down any of the songs and add a clapping audience sound effect. Just make sure you ask the workers how to do that on the controller before you start. CONCLUSION: This small place is a hard find, but like all things difficult, the rewards are greater. If you're Korean, you'll enjoy this place with all the special features and standard ones you've grown accustomed to from other Korean no-rae-bangs. If you're not Korean though, you might find this place a little bit less enjoyable. But it's okay. That's why there's alcohol! read more

The keyboard is in Korean so that kinda sucks but they explain how it works and it's not too hard to work with. (I love this!) -Tons of American songs, but good luck on figuring out the control because it's in what?.... korean! Just ask the employees how to use it... they're very nice and will show you how. -Clean, modern (sort of) rooms that look like a living room with comfy seating. Clean potties too (although they're unisex). -Late night hours. If you want something to do, want to sing, want to eat, want to drink, want to make out... whatever, go to Luxor!
