My old fella just celebrated his 30th birthday and he is still happily teaching youngsters the joys of riding and competing. It is Amanda's attention to detail that keeps him fit and healthy. My horse falls on the low end of the pecking order in any herd and I credit Amanda's ability to put the right mix of horses together in order to ensure each group is compatible and happy. Not every boarding facility is willing to take the time needed to make sure the dynamics between horses is considered and adjusted for. I'm almost 64 and in need of a couple of new knees. I don't know how many more years of riding either my horse or I have in us, but how ever many years we have will happily be spent in the capable and caring hands of Amanda and staff at Run 2 You Stables!

They specialize in Dressage and English riding and their facility is lovely. If you are serious about wanting to learn riding then this is the place to be. An added bonus is that the other students and boarders are all really nice and supportive whether you are brand new or have been there for years. It is telling that they have regular clients from downtown Toronto and Hamilton.

We let our students fetch water after putting their horse away in their stall for feed and a drink and to clean up the poop your horse makes in the arena. We dont expect students to clean stalls unless they choose to but are expected to learn with us how to groom and always groom before saddling, and how to pick their feet. Lessons are 45 min and then 15 min of free time to practice or try new things as long as its safe.
