Willibald Farm Distillery & Brewery - Gin

    Willibald Farm Distillery & Brewery

Willibald Farm Distillery & Brewery is a great spot for a "get together and hangout for hours" sort…read moreof place. Their location is out on a working farm and distillery so it is out of the way via a country road. Their restaurant is great with indoor and outdoor patio seating. Would recommend indoor due to flies and weather. Their drinks are very good and their food surprisingly excellent for a place that's mainly a distillery. We were here as a group of 6 and ordered a bit of everything. Our order: - Caesar Salad (decently sized, everyone got some) - Mushroom Pappardelle (excellent sauce and very silky, every pasta noodle had loads of sauce, the best part of the meal) - Bee Sting (great pizza, comparable with places that just focus on pizza) - Cheese Monger (all the cheese pizza) - Truffle Funghi (not too strong of truffle, just enough and it all came together nicely) - Ontario Burratini (a great bread + dip with peaches, second best part of the meal) Drinks: - Gin Mule (basically a Moscow mule but with Gin) - Spritz (cherry) The service was amazing, food started coming out around 10 mins after ordering. Ordering did take a while as they were quite busy. The attached store sold their brand of drinks, some of which you only could get there. Lots of customers came and went with cases of drinks. We got some gin to bring home as well. They have a drinks stall at St. Jacob's if you are in the area (no restaurant though). For a distillery, not only do they have great drinks, but all their food seems well thought out and a great choice all on its own. The only con is that they are pretty out of the way, but worth the day trip. They have ample parking and you can hangout on the lawn for as long as you like. They have an outdoor bar as well as corn hole and tables for you to hangout at. Board games and picnic blankets encouraged.

Had a wonderful experience dining here with friends. Although the restaurant was located on a farm,…read moreit was only a 10 minute drive away from Galt. The service was excellent, the server made every effort to get to know our names and was very attentive. We ordered a number of dishes, including the funghi pizza and the chicken cutlet. We also got a number of drinks, including their large selection of beer and the delicious gin cocktails. We sat out on their patio, which was lovely. I had a wonderful time and I'm looking forward to coming back for the amazing food and beautiful farm!

Will NEVER go back. Abused & threatened by other guests REWARDED for their behaviour…read moreFrom their website, copy and paste: Fear Farm Code of Conduct. For the safety of our guests and associates, guests who violate the following rules will be ejected from the park without compensation for their tickets. Horseplay/Fighting Line Jumping Verbal or physical harassment of actors or guests Will start by saying almost all employees here are great. Coming I believe 7 years. This year's my last. Pricey & long lines, but all part of it. What I won't put up with is abuse by other guests with no repercussions. Having fun down to last 3 haunts. At Zombie maze & 2 children had gone to the bathroom asked to be excused to go back to their parents. Behind me was a group of about five boys. Heard them say, "Hey, let's do the same & say our parents are up there" All except the youngest did, barreled through the line, shoving people out of the way. Finally ran into a mountain of a man who told them no. Shoved at him & called him names. Tallest with thick curly hair & yellow vest, backed up & told him he was going to 'kick his a@@.' I called loudly for security Security shows up, boys spoke to them 1st & must have told quite a tale. Security put them in FAST PASS LINE to reward their bad behaviour, even though groups of us told him what happened (Kingdom Security). Oldest worst behaved looked at me (angry I called security) & said, "I'm getting in before you b@tch." Kid couldn't have been more than 12. He was mean, scary. Security stood right behind & did nothing about his misogynistic behaviour. After went straight to snack bar to report. Workers got a manager. Now, she was very nice & explained how the family loved the farm, and that's why I went, was 1 of my faves. Get pumpkins there, take home baked goods. She gave me a Fast Pass, I didn't really want, felt like I was doing the same thing they had. Offered $50 gift card I also tried to refuse. She kept insisting, saying she wanted me to feel valued.Told her I don't want anything out of it, just want them removed for treating people badly, figuring they were probably doing that to other people in the park. She told me when they came in, she noticed them & they were already being rude/causing issues. Word of advice: if you see that, don't let people like that into the park to ruin other people's good time. Did next maze, though didn't feel good about Fast Pass & bypassing others. Started to have fun again. After, went toward bathroom & boys were at the Carnevil entrance. Oldest saw me & immediately starting sticking his tongue out at me & hurling insults. Told female clown manager was looking for the boys. Kept an eye them, because the manager asked me initially where they were & said she was going to find them. Followed at distance as they walked away. Oldest boy told me to stop following them or he'd kick my a@@. I told him I was getting mgr. Gut punch: Guy walks by pulling a wagon full of water; he works there. Explained & he ran after them. Comes back & says:"A SECURITY GUARD IS WITH THEM. THEY ONLY HAVE ONE HAUNT TO GO THROUGH SO WE'LL LET THEM DO THAT BECAUSE IT'S TOO MUCH TROUBLE TO KICK THEM OUT AND FILL OUT THE PAPERWORK" Asked if he was kidding & he ran off. Went back to snack stand & told them--clueless. Slammed unwanted FP down on the counter. Had saved HayRide, my fave for last, but left at that point giving back $50 gift card on my way out. I want you to understand. Live for Halloween. Don't have an easy home life & to get away & go out just to be abused by some horrible kid who's going to grow up to mistreat women was shattering. Isn't that the way of the world now? You commit crimes & abuse women & you get to be the US president. Hate certain people & you get to go out & snatch them off the street & get paid to do it. Sick to death of watching people behave badly & get rewarded. Don't support businesses who allow this & don't enforce their OWN rules. Cried half the drive back to Seaforth & after I got home. Going out to try to have a bit of fun shouldn't feel like this.
