I had an excellent experience with this company, and I'd like to extend my gratitude to the owner, Tony, for providing such outstanding service. From start to finish, everything about my interaction with this business was impressive. First and foremost, their response time was exceptional. When I reached out to them on a Monday, they promptly scheduled an appointment for an estimate. The fact that they could fit me in so quickly was already a promising sign. On top of their prompt response, the team that arrived to assess the job was not only efficient but also incredibly friendly. They took the time to understand my needs and provided valuable insights and recommendations for the project. Their professionalism was evident from the get-go. The real highlight of my experience was the speed at which they completed the work. After the initial estimate on Monday, I was amazed to find that the job was finished by Tuesday at noon. This level of efficiency is truly remarkable and speaks to their dedication and skill. What makes this experience even better is that the price they quoted was very reasonable, especially given the quality and speed of the work. I couldn't be happier with the outcome, and I believe the value I received exceeded my expectations. I want to emphasize the exceptional professionalism and friendliness of everyone involved in the project. It's not every day that you come across a team that not only delivers top-notch results but also does so with a smile. Their positive attitude and commitment to the job left a lasting impression on me. I wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone in need of their services. In fact, I'm so impressed that I'll be keeping their information for future projects without hesitation. Tony and his team have set a high standard, and I have full confidence that they'll continue to excel in their field. Thank you, Tony, for leading a company that truly understands the importance of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. read more

My Husband and I bought a home in University City because of the old world esthetic and the shady tree lined streets. We were smitten. Unfortunately, the previous owners neglected our house terribly and failed to disclose the true condition of the property. After living in the house a month, we discovered a leaking slate roof, crumbling tuck pointing, poor condition of masonry, rotting wooden windows... I could go on but I'd rather report on the amazingly fast expert service and workmanship that Irish Construction did to bring us back to loving our home. The owner/ operator Tony Monaghan and his talented crew were able to repair our stone front porch, missing grout on our exterior walls, crumbling and leaking stucco in our basement storage room, as well as fix our wood burning fireplace in one day. ONE DAY. We had a stack of estimates from well known construction companies that didn't remotely compare with the scope of work or the costs involved for the repairs. I believe that Irish Construction was able to do this because they are extremely experienced with European style craftsmanship that neighborhoods like ours require to retain the beauty of the original dwellings. We give Irish Construction the highest rating possible. We have more work to complete our home and we feel so positive about the costs and results we will get from Irish Construction. Thank you Tony and crew!! See you soon I hope. read more

I employed Irish Construction for Concrete for leveling repairs to my conspicuously unsafe sidewalk, repairs of broken concrete, cracks & refinishing to the sidewalks, steps, and porch. The quality and workmanship were immaculate! My sidewalk, steps and porch look brand new and all match seamlessly. I got a great price, extremely fair and reasonable in comparisons, and the work exceeded my expectations. I was amazed and grateful! The area was left neat, clean, and tidy. I chose this company based on their 26 years of experience, photos, A+ testimonial reviews, and the integrity of the company's commitment to excellence in their work. They will not cut corners. In these times, to offer a 5-year workmanship warranty on their work performed is huge and unheard of! Wow! Who proudly does that provided in writing? It is very rare! I intend to call on this company for my future residential repairs. I can rely on their excellent guaranteed workmanship, fairness, and reliable service in confidence, as a single woman, with the best guarantee I have found. I will highly recommend Irish Construction LLC to my loved ones, friends, family and others looking for honesty and excellence, without the hype. read more

Tony came to my home just yesterday because I was concerned about some masonry work that needed to be done. I know Tony and his company because I hired them back in 2010 or so to do some tuckpointing, remove a chimney and to patch some spots on the house masonry. They did a great job then, and Tony wasted no time getting out yesterday to see what I needed. He looked at my concern areas and then continued to inspect the masonry areas. He pointed out several other areas that really needed some attention. I agreed and was thankful of his assessment. He said "I'll be here at 7:30 tomorrow morning", and ready to start work. He and 2 crew members pulled up on time, assessed what needed to be done and set at it! By 10:00 am they had completed all work to my satisfaction. They completely cleaned up after their work and left the areas neat. All trash went with them when they left my property. I could not ask for better quick response, quality of work or the cleanliness of the work sight! They are the best, and I won't hesitate to hire them again or refer them to others! A JOB WELL DONE! Thank you! read more

Irish Construction did an amazing job patching our plaster ceilings. They arrived promptly and worked quickly and efficiently. Every employee was kind, courteous and professional! Shout out to Kevin, Elliott and Paul! Tony, the owner, was on site and worked hard to ensure everything was addressed with superior quality. Tony was also was extremely kind and patient answering all of my questions and concerns. What impressed me most was his genuine concern with preserving our home and my family's safety by addressing urgent areas first rather than trying to sell me on additional work and believe me our old U City home needs some additional work! They did such a great job we have already scheduled more appointments for our continued interior needs and look forward to using them to address our exterior needs when the weather allows it. Not being well versed in construction myself I really appreciate having a company I can trust to not only do excellent quality work but who also isn't trying to over charge me in the process. Highly recommend Tony and his crew with Irish Construction! read more

My front porch is one big concrete slab that was badly sinking forward into my front yard and causing the support beams to detach from the roof. I called Irish Construction and Tony responded right away. He came out and assessed the issue then came to do the job the next day. Tony and his crew came out to my residence on time and worked very hard as they mud jacked my sinking porch. They did fast work and left no mess behind. Julia in the office was delightful to speak with and was very professional and the young woman on the crew named Shelby was quite impressive as well. Very happy to see there are still good workers around! I called a few companies and I'm more than satisfied with my decision to choose Irish Construction. Additionally they have a great attitude and gave me a fair price for the work. I also needed some tuckpointing work done on my chimney and decided to hire them to repair that as well as I was extremely pleased with their work. I highly recommend this company! I have a 100+ year old house and discovered that the chimney--that ran through the center of the house--was leaning dangerously to one side. If nothing was done, then eventually the chimney would collapse with terrible consequences. Because the repair was extremely difficult it seemed impossible to find a company that was even wiling to come out and see the problem firsthand. Anthony Monaghan, owner/director of Irish Construction, was the only one who had enough confidence in the abilities of his workers to come assess the situation, explain exactly what could be done, and provide a bid. I offered him the job and he arrived with his crew the following Monday as promised. The job proved even more complicated than anticipated and additional steps and materials were required. Yet, Anthony did not add these expenses to my invoice. His foremost concern throughout the process was to get the job done right for the long-term safety and satisfaction of the homeowner. I recommend this company. read more

Tony and his crew are extremely easy to get along with. He has a sense of humor and is very upfront about costs. You are under the impression that he is there to earn a living and provide quality work. That is exactly what he did. My parents were looking to sell there home. Tony fixed up the front of the house with some carpentry cleaning up the appearance especially around the doors and windows. We added some exterior Stucco to give some texture and personality. Inside there were some minor repairs that needed to be done some carpentry and plastering. The job was done within a couple of visits. They showed up early and prepped then cleaned up after themselves before they left. The quality of work was excellent. I wanted to be around to make sure no one was taking advantage of my parents. They got great work at a great price! After stopping in to see how the work looked I was happy and impressed. I would recommend the Irish Construction Company to anyone!! read more

Wanting to have some interior plaster work done, Toni from Irish Construction came over to give us a bid. He took a look at the exterior of our home and was concerned about some cracks and other problematic areas. As Toni put it, "Humans heal themselves, homes do not." :) We agreed to a very fair price and his crew did terrific work on our little 1918 bungalow. I'm not sure if they had to mix a certain color, but the stucco matches our paint beautifully! We can get away without painting for a while if we want to! While they were here, we had Toni a look at an interior basement wall that has leaked during torrential rains for twenty years. That day, they dug a trench on the exterior of the wall, placed hydraulic cement on the outside of the wall, and filled the trench back in with dirt. We are keeping our fingers crossed this is the final answer! Toni and his crew were here at the time specified and were efficient and courteous. read more

These guys are great! They finished up their work for me today and we couldn't be happier. It was a big job including tuckpointing, roof sealing, chimney repair, and plaster work inside. All was done quickly, professionally, and affordably. We had been having terrible water damage coming in every rain after the bad storms last July, and Tony's team came quickly, worked hard and throughout 2 days and completely repaired our chimney, tuck-pointed numerous spots where water was coming in, and repaired all the plaster damage from water on the inside of our living room, entry way, and our child's room. The damage was even more than previously anticipated but Tony and his team took care of it without issue. Will be calling them again soon to repair our steps and walkway. Obviously with the waterproofing, we'll wait until the next rain to decide, but I imagine we will be just as happy. I highly recommend Irish Construction. read more

I have an older home in University City and a stone walkway that was crumbling and needed repair - also some tuck pointing the needed updating. The business owner, Tony Monaghan, came out a few days after I contacted the company to do a walkthrough and provide a bid - which was reasonable and lower than previous bids that I had received. Tony was very knowledgeable and assured me that his team could get the job done this past Monday. He also assured me that the look would be very similar to the current walkway - yet reinforced and sturdy. I am very pleased with the work done! Tony was very professional and followed up multiple times to ensure that I was satisfied with the walkway and tuck pointing. I have already recommended Tony and Irish Construction to a colleague at work for their stone mason needs. Tony was prompt, great at communication, and he and his team exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend! :) read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Irish Construction Company, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, their team was professional, reliable, and incredibly detail-oriented. They communicated clearly throughout the entire project, kept everything on schedule, and delivered high-quality workmanship that truly exceeded my expectations. What stood out most was their honesty and commitment to doing the job right the first time--no shortcuts, just solid craftsmanship. The crew was respectful, cleaned up after themselves daily, and made the whole process stress-free. It's not always easy to find a contractor you can trust, but Irish Construction Company absolutely earned mine. If you're looking for dependable, top-notch construction services in the St. Louis area, I highly recommend them. I'll definitely be using them again for future projects! read more

I'm giving them 5 stars because the work does look very well done, but this is my honest review. I called and they came out the next day. Many other companies I called for a quote never called me back or it told weeks to get a quote from. They completed all of the plaster repair and tuckpointing the same day. So the initial quote increased quite a bit after the job was done, but they did repair quite a bit more after assessing in person instead of based on photos. They cleaned up everything outside but did not clean up the inside after the plasterwork was completed. They used drop cloths but still left a decent a mess so some plaster needed to be scraped off the hardwood floors. Not saying I didn't expect some mess, but I've had others work on the house with less mess left behind. Overall still very satisfied with Irish Construction and would work with them again in the future. read more

Irish Construction did a fantastic job tuckpointing the front of my house to address water entering at the sill plate and under the windows. They pulled back the dirt, tuckpointed, filled with hydraulic cement, and pointed four additional areas, as well. The owner, Tony, responded to my request within two hours and met me at the house to provide a bid; it was fair, and he was able to accommodate my schedule and get a crew out the next morning. The guys worked very hard, were polite, and did an excellent job cleaning up as well. The following day I noticed an additional area that needed work, and Tony sent his crew back to finish the job; they pointed another place that I had missed, as well. All in all a great experience- and most importantly, there is no more water entering, even after three torrential downpours. Thanks guys! read more

It's been a true pleasure working with the owner and crew of Irish Construction. They were prompt and efficient, taking care to safeguard all surrounding areas for a very large job. My home required a complete resurface of a large, old stone basement and foundation, including mold removal. There was alot of patch work required in addition to tuckpoint and brick repairs. I watched their progress and was amazed and grateful for ensuring the job was done right. It's certainly refreshing to work with skilled craftsmen who take pride in their work. The owner has remained on site all day, working with his crew, to ensure quality work and attention to detail. Everyone is friendly, respectful and professional. I would highly recommend Tony and his team and plan to use them again. read more

Overall, I was very pleased with Irish Construction. Their office manager was very upbeat and friendly over the phone, and she even called to check up on things before and after the job to ensure everything was in order. I needed some tuck pointing work in a few areas around my house and Tony and his crew started work the next day and finished up the effort quickly. They even touched up a few areas along my home that I didn't catch during the initial estimate, but needed to be done, which was very much appreciated. After paying them for their work, I realized an area had been missed and they came back a few days later to finish the job, which was very much appreciated. Overall a very honest and hardworking group of people. I'd definitely recommend them and use them again. read more

I sought a bid from Irish Construction to repair damage on my plaster walls. Anthony, the owner, was very thoughtful and thorough in his evaluation, noting that while he could fix the damaged wall, it would persist if we did not fix an exterior crack that was allowing water to come in. We took this opportunity to contract additional tuck pointing work that I was eyeing around my home. I hired Anthony based on his fair estimate, ability to start the job the next day and overall friendly demeanor. His team arrived the next morning and managed the work with professional purpose. Friendly guys who were all to willing to show me the work as they went along. Anthony was on-site to ensure quality and to field my questions along the way. I highly recommend Irish Construction. read more

Problem: cracks in slab porch and sidewalk along the house that were causing water issues in the basement The first time Tony came to our home, he and his crew were ready to do the work right away, but we were just looking for an estimate. However, Tony called back a week or so later, to let me know they had a cancellation in case we wanted them for the job. At that point, we had talked with several contractors and decided that Irish Construction's price and proposed work were the best choice for us. I really appreciated him keeping us in mind, and following up the way he did. They came out this morning and were done within 2 hours. Very efficient, hard working, and communicative. Our sidewalk looks much cleaner, and I'm hoping the porch repair solves our water problem. read more

Excellent work. Extremely friendly and easy to work with crew. Fair Price. Anthony and his crew came out to do two separate jobs for me. All work completed was as discussed and then some. Anthony was sure to make sure that I was happy with all of the work and that it met all criteria. Anthony was extremely fair and honest about what work was needed and what was not. He took the time to educate me about what he was planning on doing. He explained where money would be well spent and where it would not. As a result, I came away from the experience with a good feeling that Anthony had addressed all the concerns I had and then some, at a fair price. All around a great company to do business with. I would definitely hire them again! (Size of job ~$5000) read more
