After my first child was born, Lee Ann helped whip my body into the best shape I'd EVER been in. I felt so strong and it was FUN! Pilates classes on the reformer are truly unbelievable. The hot yoga (express or regular - I've taken both) is challenging yet fun and all of the instructors queue lots of options, making it accessible for everyone to do what they want to do and make each practice their own. Once we were able to attend classes again, I was very impressed by their dedication to keeping their clients staying safe and feeling that they were in the right hands. I have been attending classes - a few of which are free! They have 2-3 classes a week that are free to introduce you to the studio and to the art of yoga! Following their social media and keeping in touch with the studio will help you figure out when these classes happen. One of my favorite classes that this studio has to offer is "sculpt." They incorporate weights into a traditional yoga setting. This turns the class into s a full-body workout. As a male, there are times where I may not "fit in" to yoga and fitness classes, but here I felt welcome. I feel that this is a workout that other males may also benefit from. They offer a variety of classes--anything from reformer machines to mat or cardio kettlebell and pilates on a ball--so it never gets boring. They also have several classes scheduled around lunchtime, which makes it very convenient, especially since most are only 30 minutes. Don't let the "only 30 minutes" part fool you, though--after my first Pilates on a Ball class, I could barely walk out of the place because my legs were shaking from the awesome workout! They are also super friendly and make you feel welcome. I've purchased Groupons or done trial memberships at other gyms and sometimes not a single person or employee would even acknowledge me, say hi, ask how I was liking everything, etc. Not so at Pilates 1901. Within five minutes of walking in the door the first time, Tina was introducing herself, showing me around, and answering any questions I had. As another review stated, the instructors are very friendly and truly care about you and how you're doing.

Found a Groupon for hot yoga - read about the benefits and decided let's do this!!! I tried a few of the classes on the unlimited month. The sumits 60 was not the first class I should of been trying - wish I could eventually build up to that level though. The restore and relax classes are nice when you just want to relax and stretch and enjoy the heat. My favorite class is with Joni on Wednesday mornings - the slow and flow class. It's just slow enough to keep up for me but not too fast and I love her enthusiasm and loooove the hot yoga aspect. Try it out.

Their sumit flows are great and so are their late night stretching classes. The teachers are lovely and do a great job of making the classes challenging and also relaxing. It is definitely a non-judgmental space as well! There is a great Groupon available right now that I recommend and their community classes are $9 which is pretty accessible.

The atmosphere is super cool because everyone is striving to improve, so the competition is healthy and encouraging and everyone helps and cheers on everyone else. The facility is top-notch. It's a big gym, rubber flooring throughout the entire place, with 8-9 Olympic lifting platforms, nice Rogue barbells, nice bumper plates and an AWESOME selection of kettlebells. The kettlebell trainers are all super-qualified and certified and it is THE place to go to learn the art of kettlebell training. It took me 38 years to figure out that training can be fun, but better late than never!
