I take Jenny's Mat Pilates class every Wednesday, and I also recently went to one of her Sip and Sweat events, and she is just so wonderful!! I am not a generally fit person or a person that naturally gravitates towards exercise, but I love Jenny's teaching approach and her classes. She is extremely approachable for beginners, but she definitely works you out! I feel very comfortable in her class and I appreciate all of the modifications and suggestions she offers because they make people with all body types and all fitness-backgrounds feel welcomed and safe. Jenny is so delightful & an amazing Pilates instructor. I have had the privilege to go to her home based studio in south Overland Park & it's stunning. I love the intimate vibe of the one on one reformer class. She tailored a treatment for a chronic shoulder injury of mine & afterwards my arm felt the best it's felt in 9 months when I injured it. I also attended a sip & sweat pop up at a wine vineyard. How cool is that?? Now I won't miss any more events. I'm addicted to ballet bod!!! read more

Definitely one of the best instructors in LA. Jenny is a professional ballet dancer, making her work outs unique, well rounded and authentic. I have been working with her since 2012, and she inspired me to get my own Pilates certification. She has been an amazing mentor throughout the whole process, sharing her wisdom and experience with me to pass on to my pre-professional ballet students. She will take her time to explain each exercise and demonstrate along with you to make sure you're doing the work correctly and getting the most out of the experience. If I could give more stars I would. I came to Jenny for private sessions for weight management, but we quickly discovered issues in my lower back that were causing issues connected to other minor physical pains I'd been enduring for years. Jenny has helped strengthen my core and my whole body in a way that I'm now doing exercises I thought I'd never be strong enough to do. I'd just accepted I'd never be able to plank because of my back. But with Jenny, I'm strong enough to do exercises like planks and do them the RIGHT way. The exercises are challenging and fun. She is just a ray of sunshine. And she keeps you smiling while she kicks your A$$. She is patient but also won't let you get away with slacking off. I'm so grateful to Jenny! These exercises are going to keep me feeling good my whole life long. Oh yeah, and I'm down several pounds after only 8 weeks. read more

Since the pandemic I have not been able to go to a studio and take classes. Jenny's Zoom pilates classes are fabulous! As a classically trained ballet dancer she knows exactly how to give you a safe and challenging workout. She gives out modifications so that she is able to accommodate everyone's needs. As the class is 'live' it is the next best thing to an in-studio experience. She explains everything thoroughly and is so upbeat, the time flies by, especially with her well chosen playlist. I really see the difference and feel the strength in my core. She is a terrific teacher and it is a great workout! read more

I am so glad I found Jenny and The Ballet Bod pre-Covid! For starters, Jenny is a beautiful dancer, which serves as great inspiration in class. Beyond that, she's a positive, enthusiastic, and intuitive teacher who can quickly assess issues (ie my arabesque) and offer valuable feedback. Her Zoom classes are just as difficult as her in-person classes, and I, for one, am so glad that I'm able to continue taking her classes while out-of-town. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. read more

Jenny is the best instructor!! I have worked with her both online and in person and she is highly skilled in both. Jenny is incredible at making adjustments to exercises based on your abilities or injuries, and sometimes knows what you need to work on just from the way you walk in the door. Her instructing style is generous, calm, and friendly, which really appeals to me. Through working with Jenny, I have gotten much stronger and some neck strain that used to bother me even after lots of physical therapy have gone away! I feel fortunate to have found her!! read more

Since the pandemic, I've taken Jenny's sculpt classes every Friday on zoom for months now. First of all, Jenny is the sweetest, most encouraging beast of an instructor that ever existed. However, don't let that fool you when it comes to her classes; that sweet demeanor is all a facade for the torture she doles out during each and every class. She works every single muscle to beyond exhaustion, and somehow makes it look effortless on her end. She changes it up every week so it's never predictable and you never get bored, and goes the full hour, sometimes even longer unfortunately lol. I usually have to mentally prepare myself for this class at least a day ahead of time, and give my muscles a nice pep talk before it all starts. All I can say is, I'm so glad we're muted during these zoom classes, because the ugly grunts and groans I make during each class would be distracting and downright embarrassing, and just overall not a good look for me. At the end of each class, my dogs come and check on me to see if I'm still alive and revive me if needed. So why do I take these classes?? Cause I'm a masochist who despite complaining all the time, absolutely loves how I feel after taking them. Jenny is such a beautiful spirit, and even though I may cuss her out in my head a lot, I love her and just can't quit her; she's made this pandemic that much more bearable in her own twisted way. This is the best workout for only 10 bucks, and I highly recommend it to everyone who loves to get their ass beat! read more

Jenny has been training me for nearly 5 years and she's been a saving grace. She's lively, passionate, and incredibly inventive in her methods and teaching style. My body has been transformed! If you're looking to develop a strong, lean, sleek and feminine shape while developing your flexibility, TBB is the perfect method. There are fine details that you simply can't tone by just going to the gym, and Jenny has developed a tried-and-true system that is not only incredibly effective, but a lot of fun and will keep you coming back again and again! Thanks Jenny! X read more

Jenny is the BEST!!! Not only are her classes on fire, but her quality of teaching and instructing is above all. I've taken her classes in person (pre-covid) and then took her virtual classes during quarantine, and you leave her class feeling energized, sore, but so happy every time. Even when you think you can't do another set of something, she pulls it out of you and I love that!! Not only is she an amazing teacher, but she is the sweetest person. Always full of energy and smiling throughout class, and her music is always spot on!! I highly recommend Jenny & TBB if you want a high quality and fun work out that you will definitely feel the next day :) read more

I've been taking Jenny's virtual classes since the beginning of the pandemic and they have been a ray of light! I have been working out with Jenny Sherry for years! She is the best, so knowledgeable and motivating. With her sweet smile she will keep you going. As a dancer and Pilates instructor myself, I find it sometimes difficult find to an instructor who really gives a quality workout. Jenny and TBB is the exception! I love Jenny's classes!! First off she's so sweet, warm and encouraging and secondly she really gives a thorough workout that's challenging, well rounded, fun and full of interesting exercises, some of which I've never done before! I highly recommend taking class with The Ballet Bod, you'll love the convenience of being able to workout in your own home with a knowledgeable, sweet and thorough instructor and getting a workout that'll have you sweating and yet still smiling! read more

A bit about me, I'm 35 and have always been an indoor kid. I always hated anything that involved moving my body. But I've been pilating with Jenny consistently for six years now. In my entire life, working with Jenny is the only fitness-related activity I've ever been able to stick with. Jenny is kind and intelligent, and she never lets me get bored. After six years, she'll still frequently bust out moves I've never seen before. Jenny's patience is boundless. She's told me a hundred times to square my hips more, but never once has there been a note of irritation in her voice. Stop to think about that for a second. Imagine there's someone at your work who's always jamming the copier. You told them once "hey, here's the correct way to use the copier," and you said it super nicely, with maximum positivity. Then they keep jamming the copier. They keep jamming the copier for six fucking years. Eventually you'd be like "dude, I've told you a hundred goddamn times how to use the goddamn copier, are you doing this deliberately to piss me off or are you just that stupid?" Not Jenny. She's never let her voice betray a hint of judgement or even modest disapproval. Every correction she gives is offered in the spirit of positivity and with a seemingly genuine belief that I have the capacity to improve, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Critically, and this may just be important for me, Jenny has an excellent sense of humor and is willing to laugh when I tell her what a vicious, unreasonable monster she is for making me high plank for the third time in a row. Again, I don't know that issuing verbal abuse is an important part of your workout regimen, but it's apparently part of what keeps me going and Jenny's a remarkably good sport about it. Like I said, this is the only fitness-related activity I've ever been able to stick with. My core is stronger, I'm more flexible, and I'm generally healthier than I was in my twenties. That's because of Jenny. Her physical expertise combined with her sparkling personality is unique among any trainer I've ever met. She quite literally changed my life and I recommend her classes to anyone wholeheartedly and without reservation. read more
