I chose Dr. Dan because I trust him. He has a nice practice in convenient Bel Air, just off of Route 24 near Bertucci's. I chose to go from Baltimore to Bel Air when I needed a new crown for an old rear molar. Dr. Dan expertly performed the mold, the temporary, and the permanent. His lab was timely, his instrumentation and use of technology were great. Even in the middle of a pandemic, he was able to accommodate my emergency visit. His office was clean and his staff, Amanda and Christine (at front desk), were kind, courteous, and professional. I was able to get my teeth cleaned and my mouth feels and looks great - no more tartar and buildup. Thanks Dr. Dan for improving my smile!

Acted like they didn't realize the tooth repair was so recent. Didn't look it up first? Suspicious! When I told them I wasn't paying again for same thing, not to mention, I could have to pay them each time it continues to fail! Then it was fixed at no charge BUT no comparison to the quality job(appearance wise) done the first time! I didn't complain just decided to change dentistry business. Nice staff but I can not trust them to be honest and thorough!

I know its a long review but I chose this dentist because of his good reviews and close to home,…read morewhen I got there a year and half ago I felt at ease and safe, I trusted he would do a good job, was also a nice quiet setting not the normal scary assembly line feel. I had just lost my Dad 2 days prior so I was comfortable in this quiet office, having just been in and out of a hospital that was very stressful. I had a cracked tooth that was so painful and he said he could fill it and save the tooth which was great ! I love a dentist that saves teeth and he even allowed me to do this without any meds which I was happy about and we discussed that if I wanted the numbing med I could get it, he also saw a very small cavity in my one wisdom tooth and said we can fill that too, all was going good. Sadly it did not go good in the end for not just one tooth but both, he drilled the wisdom and filled it, all seemed great and then he got to the other tooth, I really think he drilled too deep for this one, he seemed to be finished and reached for the filling but then came back and drilled a bit more, at that point I felt pain, I had not felt any pain just a little pressure before so I was thinking he hit the nerve, possible damage. I left with a large filling that felt odd but I thought it will be ok, but days went by and I could not eat, the filling was too high and very rough, my bite was way off too and I got a bubble on the gum which I think was an abscess, kept popping and reappearing, the wisdom tooth however felt normal, I went back to get the filling fixed, which I could not even get in for 2 weeks which was horrible because over filled teeth can DAMAGE a tooth, which may have played a roll in what happened to me as time went by, when I got there he did an x ray, I asked him what the small swelling was below the gum on the x ray and he said a nerve which was odd because its very hard to see nerves, I still think it was an abscess but he said no and gave no meds for it, he polished down the tall filling and I left, I was now eating better and it felt ok but a week or so went by and I felt a heaviness so I touched the tooth only to find it moving back and forth, I called to get an app. but the woman said nothing available for 2 weeks and kept asking how can it be loose, so I said I will just wait and see if it tightens up which can happen according to my research, weeks past and It seemed to be tighter and I was in no pain so I went on but every now and then it felt heavy and numb, then about 5 months ago I was eating and the other tooth, the wisdom tooth broke off which was the tooth that was never bothering me that he filled, it cut my cheek but days went by and it felt smooth again and no pain but it seems the filling made the tooth weak, I feel now It was not a necessary filling for an extremely small cavity, then a few days ago the worst happened, I was eating chicken and nothing even hard for what happened next, my other tooth filling broke off taking a small piece of tooth with it, I was searching for the metal in my mouth with my dinner as it was crunching with my food, now have a sharp edge sticking up and looking for a new dentist but I am fearful now of who to go to, both fillings failed after only a year and the other a year and a half. I know everyone's mouth and teeth react different but for both teeth to have failed seems like treatment was either wrong or done incorrectly, its disappointing because I really wanted to like this dentist, he worked with me, was flexible and seemed professional but from the tall over filled tooth to the broken wisdom then the broken sharp filling Its very upsetting ! I was not even going to give a bad review after the over filled tooth I felt well ok he fixed it, mistakes happen, then the wisdom I had thought I should do a review but I did not, then the original bad tooth I had went in for has a broken filling after only just over a year, this is total BS !

I consulted with many dentists in the area, some of whom agreed with her assessment, but couldn't do the job, but more who wanted to save the teeth. I really didn't think the teeth could be saved and most wanted to do root canals which I did not want. Dr. Kreiner, however, told me that he could save the teeth without root canals and make a partial denture that he could add teeth to at a later date if necessary. I chose him. He explained why I was having dental problems, gave advise on dry mouth and other subjects, told me that he included silver in his dental fillings because silver tarnishes and creates a tighter bond with the tooth (most of my previous cavities were around fillings that didn't bond and even some of those fillings shifter or fell out). He was an artist in creating the partial using skills, science, and patience. It fits extremely well, very snug, and I've had no more cavities. Dr. Kreiner doesn't leave you after he injects the local anesthetic to work on another patient as many dentists do. He stays with his patient and explains his proceedures and why he's doing what he's doing. He loves to talk, but he's informative and entertaining.

He was specifically recommended because of his ability to deal with anxious patients. (Probably the Louisiana accent, which he claims no one notices.) I was PETRIFIED. I made him swear not to tap on the stupid tooth because that is totally unnecessary and painful! He promised and kept his word. He made it through all my anxiety and made me laugh. I didn't really even want to kill him. He and ALL of the staff from front desk to hygienist to billing were kind and understanding of my phobia. But I hoped I'd never have to see them again. OF COURSE I HAD TO. I went back yesterday for a second root canal (different tooth). This time I had to see Dr. Reddy because Simoneaux wasn't there, and it was an emergency. Grrrreat. New Dr, New Fear. The staff, again, assured me it would be ok. I again was a terrified mess. Dr. Reddy was VERY patient. He seemed confused that I wanted all the needles just none of the drilling. I think I scared him more than he scared me, but we made it. His assistant was the sweetest. If I have to get another root canal, I'll just get dentures. But they'll be the ones to do it.

On behalf of my Mom, I am sharing her recent experience on 9/19/22 in having a root canal…read more performed. I took her to her appointment. The dentist did not use the proper amount of numbing cream and/or did not wait long enough prior to inserting a needle into her gums. It was bad enough to make her cry. He said to her "you must have been surprised by the needle" versus being empathetic to her pain or taking responsibility for his action. In addition, she cursed when he inserted the needle. The assistant was more upset that she cursed versus the pain she encountered. She has never experienced this much pain nor lack of empathy (responsibility). In a follow-up call the next day, they wanted to know how she was feeling. She told them she was still in pain, and their response "this is normal." Again, she asked them what occurred the day before. They again didn't own up to possibly making a mistake. Ironically, she received a root canal from the same service provider a few months ago; conducted by a female dentist; and she did an amazing job, was very sympathetic, and explained all of the procedure. Very disappointed in not ensuring proper amount of numbing cream administered. More disappointed in how they handled the in- patient service and follow up. The procedure took 45 minutes. $1650 in cost.
