I chose Dr. Dan because I trust him. He has a nice practice in convenient Bel Air, just off of Route 24 near Bertucci's. I chose to go from Baltimore to Bel Air when I needed a new crown for an old rear molar. Dr. Dan expertly performed the mold, the temporary, and the permanent. His lab was timely, his instrumentation and use of technology were great. Even in the middle of a pandemic, he was able to accommodate my emergency visit. His office was clean and his staff, Amanda and Christine (at front desk), were kind, courteous, and professional. I was able to get my teeth cleaned and my mouth feels and looks great - no more tartar and buildup. Thanks Dr. Dan for improving my smile!

Acted like they didn't realize the tooth repair was so recent. Didn't look it up first? Suspicious! When I told them I wasn't paying again for same thing, not to mention, I could have to pay them each time it continues to fail! Then it was fixed at no charge BUT no comparison to the quality job(appearance wise) done the first time! I didn't complain just decided to change dentistry business. Nice staff but I can not trust them to be honest and thorough!

Dr. Kubiczek is so sweet and I never have any anxiety when I come for my cleanings. I typically have terrible anxiety when it comes to dentists, but I have truly never been more impressed with a dentist. The staff here is also very sweet and personable. Totally worth the long drive. See you all again soon!

I have been so disenchanted over the last few visits. It is nothing like when I first went to her,…read moreI am extremely disappointed! I am in Italian, and I do things from my heart, which is most of the time, Worn on my shoulders. What has been a slow declining set of visits has saddened me much, when I think of how thrilled at first, I was; because, Dr. Kubicek seemed so personable. I was a new patient and we share the same religion as well as a devotion to a certain saint but I guess after a few visits the party is over you only deal with her staff and she has very little to say. dialogue becomes zilch! Not to mention the very hard-core personality that shows itself people are human, and the personality starts to leave something to be desired. The reason why I mentioned earlier about being Italian is because when I visit doctors' offices, I get a real joy out of the happiness a kind act sees to bring. One time it was bagels from Panera 's with cream cheeses, another time pastries, donuts etc. A remark was made. No one seems to do that anymore. It is if everyone stops being kind well, I see now the reason maybe if we shared a little more kindness to others and treat them like we would want to be treated, they would open-up and be generous, or show some kind of gratitude or appreciation. I was never so disappointed than in my last couple visits, especially the last visit, where I was scheduled for an appointment early first thing in the morning at 7:30 AM and when I got there, they had forgotten to put me on the books so I sat in a room waiting so they I guess could fit me in and I have other things to do that morning. I was very disappointed and frustrated, but I know mistakes happen, but they go to such great lengths to text you and communicate with you and remind you of your appointment and then the week before there was nothing. I just assumed I was taking care of when I got there, I had my appointment card and they had made a mistake. Nevertheless, it was more of the cold shoulder and then on to the next patient. but I was scheduled for a crown and refill and with the snowstorm things were delayed one more week I get it for the safety of the patients and staff! I was all set to go and very excited in a sense to get some needed repairs done. They are very thorough in submitting to the insurance companies so that you know upfront with your cost you are going to be no surprises. However, the very thing they talked about preventing they did to me, the shock and awe effect so to speak. I had just gotten off work the day before the procedure, not to mention the trying day it was and I get a phone call saying that this is what my cost is going to be and not that. That I must have the money upfront and pay when I get to the office or the procedure will not be done!! I ask you, who talks that way to a patient? I ask you, is this the practice of making the patient feel relaxed and at ease before a procedure? But no, it would seem all they cared about is the almighty dollar. That was such a turn off, especially when staff members told me that Dr. Kubicek does not speak to her patients especially about billing that is only handled through us so I had no way of questioning her previous statements about my cost. They tried to tell me there were these three codes that had to be added, etc. etc. I was also surprised at the tone set, as if I was giving them a hard time! I said to the receptionist whose name I will not mention this is Dominic, you know I have been in your office many times. I was surprised because when I brought treats for them with much love, they all seem to be so giddy and happy, which is what I like and thanked me quoting nobody does this kind of stuff. Yet, they are talking to me as if I was a tenant, delinquent on room rent. I made the remark, usually what I am accustomed to, is when the procedure is done the doctor bills the insurance company and then whatever is the balance is billed to me! I remined her, I have always paid my bills on time! To which she made a remark, which really surprised me! She said and I quote, if we billed every patient for work that was done, we would never get paid! I told her that was extremely disingenuous to all her patients, suggesting that they we are a bunch of delinquents! I have never heard of such a thing, how absurd, such a disgusting remark! A blow to the gut of my stomach, as a patient I was so saddened. Now with some needed work to be done I am questioning my other diagnoses from this office; because, they have given me the appearance of being more like a cash cow. I thought I was a pretty good judge of character not that I make it a habit of being judgmental. But I am left to wonder as I keep them in my prayers; Where have all the simple old-fashioned dentist gone to?

Please note I'm a patient with already VERY high anxiety. After arrival I was greeted by what seemed to be a very new secretary, who seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. (Not her fault). I filled out new patient paperwork and waited my turn. I was called back by a lovely dental assistant. (No issues with her at all. She was fantastic and obviously working for the wrong guy.) We chatted and made small talk while she did my X-rays and that really gave me some comfort. Casual conversation. Little did I know what I was in for when the doctor came in. Now mind you I've never met this man in my life, I'm 25 years old and he comes in calling me ma'am... thought okay weird.. but no big deal, let's get the ball rolling and get this tooth fixed. He looked at my x-rays then comes to look in my mouth. He's very dry. Poor bedside manner. Pokes around in my mouth a bit and goes "This is way worse than on the X-Ray". First thing out of this mans mouth after looking. What? How does that even make sense. Then proceeds to tell me even though I don't have any pain or discomfort there is absolutely nothing he can do to fix the tooth and it will need to be pulled asap and basically told me how terrible it will look because of the hole and how I'm going to be extremely unhappy with my smile. At this point I asked "okay so what do you recommend? What are my options?" He basically in a nutshell told me I had no options and that all that could be done was to pull the tooth. (Which I know is bs because I've had way worse tooth breakage and decay and I've NEVER needed an extraction?) so I'm not sure if he's incapable of preforming a proper root canal or just doesn't have confidence in his work but regardless I will never be going back. As someone who has had a significant amount of dental work I have never been treated or spoken to so poorly by a "professional". Not sure how they have so many 5 star reviews but sounds like this office is paying to have them removed. Steer clear of Dr. Hoch unless you want to be manipulated into a procedure you don't genuinely need.
