This time I'm…read moretold that since both plans are with United Concordia they both count as one, and that I should cancel one because I was just wasting money ( She qualified her statement by telling me how many years experience she had). After they had collected two co-pays I contacted United Concordia and was told that my Federal plan was primary, and my State plan was secondary but both would pay. I took the email to Dr. McGlothlin's staff, she said it must have been a resent change and agreed to refund the co-pays. Then an appointment was set for October 23rd for implants. Two weeks prior to the appointment I received a call. I was told that Dr. Kitts wanted to see me prior to the 23rd since it had been two years since I'd been seen to ensure that nothing had changed. I said " It hadn't been two years, closer to two months". She called back to say the Doctor still wanted to see me. Now in my heart I believed this to be no more than padding, but I drove the 600 miles from SC for the appointment. My fears were confirmed when the Doctor did no more than look at the previous x-rays and began giving me options for a treatment plan. I explained to the Doctor that we had already agreed on a plan and that I was scheduled for the implants on Friday. He said ok , you must have talked to the other doctor but we can do it that way. Now not only do I believe this appointment was padding, the guy wants me to believe that I had spoken to someone else. I arrived on the 23rd. to a warm greeting and then I was given a verbal plan that was different from what I'd agreed . When I objected I was told that Dr. McGlothlin and Dr. Kitts had discussed it and agreed. I told her that they hadn't discussed it with me. She went in the back and came back with the correct plan, but it was to late, Trust and confidence had already left the room, and I followed it out of the door without being seen. She prescribed me ATIVAN and OXY for some jaw pain - to which I hadn't even seen the oral surgeon for an appt. yet. She told me this would help me sleep - didn't bother to ask what other medications I am on to provide interaction information. She then gave me her CELL phone number and told me she could get the surgical appt. bumped up for me if they were too busy. I contacted her, to which she told me she was half asleep because she just had a procedure herself and wouldnt be able to help. She just told me to contact other area dentists. My neighbor then proceeded to tell me she worked in this office for years and to NEVER go there. The owner is money hungry and unethical. Will bill and overcharge for unnecessary work or purposely ruin work for people. Also, her husband has cameras in every room and calls periodically throughout the day to ask about patients. HOW INAPPROPRIATE and HOW is this place in business. HOW isn't she in jail or unlicensed or sued?!

Unfortunately I've had two Root Canals in two years. I should be done for a while-let's hope. Dr. Tawady and team took great care of me both times. They start with a consult and X rays to confirm the Dentist's recommendation and go from there. It took about an hour with about 1/2 of that time for the numbing injections to take effect. Post Root Canal my toothache was gone and all was back to normal They moved to their current office about a year ago. Overall, professional, seamless and the team here turns what has a reputation to be a dreaded process into a routine visit.
