Brought in two suits. Both were to have the waist taken out. One was to be dry cleaned as one was obviously recently done...still had the tags on it from the prior dry cleaner. Only one pair of pants was taken out and both were dry cleaned. Mistakes happen, yes. But the woman at the counter specifically asked me which suit was to be dry cleaned and which wasn't and stapled some piece of paper to the suit in question. Anyone can send off clothes to be dry cleaned and tailored. It takes a business owner who can follow simple directions to get above a 2-star rating. read more

This shop has been here in the Milford, Pa area for over 10 years. I have had them work on shirts, pants and general repairs. The quality has always been excellent and the prices were always reasonable. As far as customer service I give them a 5 star review. It's like dealing with your favorite aunt. read more

Worst tailoring business. Knows of her wrong doings to a 5 year olds flower girl dress and proceeded to laugh about it. Would never go to again. Not a kind person and the dress is now ruined. read more

This is the worst tailoring business I have ever been to. My boyfriend brought in a brand new suit to have tailored. The pants where ruined because they were cut to short and the waist line was never brought in. The suits coat button was brought in to much. It was almost like the alterations where done for another person. Pay in check so you can stop payment when the incorrect services are done. The suit is ruined. read more

Absolutely horrible. Took a Hugo suit to simply have the sleeve shortened a half inch or so to show more cuff, the single most common alteration done to a man's suit. The half to 3/4 inch measurement was well below the lowest button with plenty of room. They took off all the buttons, simply folded and hemmed the whole sleeve, sewed the side slit completely closed and sewed the buttons on crooked. Left two very noticeable holes where buttons were removed. Destroyed a meticulously cared for designer suit. Gave me nothing but attitude about it, refused to acknowledge any mistake, and had at least 15 or more men's jackets on the cleaning rack and I asked her to show me a single one that had a cuff that looked anything like the one they made. If you can't do it properly, if you think there isn't enough material, which there is if we're shortening it, then don't do it, or call and ask if I still want it done. They could not have care less about my complaint. I'll let you know how small claims court works out. read more

If you're looking to get any kind of alterations done then look no further than Irene's Alterations in 103 Roberts Lane Milford Pa. I've taken suit pants to them and they've done a phenomenal job. Most recently I took a pair of suit pants to them to get hemmed and ask for them to done a few days later and they were done a week before anticipated and well done I might add. Then she didn't have changed for the denomination bill that I had so she told me take the pants and pay me on another date when you're in the neighborhood! What?? Who does this? Irene's Tailoring and Alterations that's who! Top notch in my book. Needless to say I went to the deli around the corner and got her her payment that day but included a little extra for her fantastic customer service skills! You just don't get that type of service just anywhere! I recommend them to anyone in the area and even if you have to drive a few miles so what this is exceptional service! read more

Horrible experience!!! The nasty woman overcharged me. I asked her to explain the charges, she told me it was so much because my dress had 3 layers. It had 2, she was just trying to cover her ass. She threatened me and harassed me via my telephone. She admitted she told me it had 3 layers but then said she didn't lie. Ummm what? Don't bother going here, I needed a quick fix and am I sorry I took my dress here. Goes to show you, always listen to your friends advice. read more

I had a horrible experience here yesterday and I'm a returning customer! I brought three dresses in for hemming because they were too long. One dress that was sleeveless also needed to be taken up at the shoulders. She charged me $70. I questioned the charges because they seemed too high for the work that needed to be done. She stated that the hemmings were about $20 each. That would make the shoulder alteration $10. Even thought I was uncomfortable with the amount she charged me, I paid her with a check and took the dresses out to the car. When I was hanging them up, I noticed that one dress wasn't hemmed at all! She just cut the bottom of the dress off with her scissors and charged me for hemming it. I took the dress back into her shop and confronted her. She said that her machines don't do a hem on that type of material. The material was a thin stretchy fabric. When I dropped the dress off she never mentioned this and she didn't call me to explain this during the two weeks that my dresses were in her shop. I would have told her not to alter that particular dress. So, she charged me $20 for cutting the bottom of my dress off. Who does that? Plus she had an attitude when I confronted her and didn't offer to refund me $20. I was going to go back today and give her a check for $50 and take the original check back seeing that she owes me $20 for charging me for a hem that she never did. It appears that she must have ran to the bank with my check yesterday afternoon (I was there at 3PM) as the check has already cleared. This woman is a crook with an attitude! If you absolutely have to take clothes there for altering, make sure she gives you an acceptable quote before you leave. Perhaps have her write the price on your ticket stub so she can't just pick a price to charge you when you pick your items up...and check her work before you pay her! This goes for all returning customers as wel! I will absolutely never give her anymore of my business! Imagine...cutting the bottom of someone's dress off and charging them $20...disgraceful! Where is her professionalism and ethics? In the toilet, that's where!!! read more

I will NEVER go back to Irene's Tailoring. I brought my daughter's dress in to this shop to replace a broken zipper. I asked how much it would cost and was told "around $14" and that it would be ready for pickup in a week. When I went to pick it up after the week, it was not ready because as the woman at the desk told me "they had some problems". I was told it be ready in another 4 days. When I went to pick it up I was told the cost was $20. I did not question the disparity in price (as I should have) nor was I given a receipt. Since no prices are posted, I have no idea what the correct price was or whether the woman at the desk just "pocketed" the difference. When I showed the dress to my sister (who accompanied me to pick up the dress and knows how to sew), she told me the zipper was attached to the outside of the dress and did not look right. We went back inside and told the woman at the desk that we thought the zipper did not look right. She insisted that the zipper was replaced as it had been originally. When my sister said to her that she did not remember it looking like that, the woman then said that there was lace edging the original zipper but it could not be saved when they replaced the zipper. My sister replied "I would not wear it looking like this" and she responded "well neither would I" and that was the end of conversation. Obviously, my problem with this establishment is 1) the disparity in pricing, 2) the lack of customer service (no apologies for delayed service or the fact that I was dissatisfied with service) and 3) I cannot understand why they did not tell me that they would be unable to save the lace on the dress if the zipper was replaced (I should have been consulted before they proceeded as the dress is "unwearable" in its current condition!) The woman at the front desk has no personality and is definitely not customer focused. I always try to give my business to local shops - in this case, I would travel miles NOT to go back to this establishment. read more
