Corrected her on the zipper and she finally agreed with my solution to then still do it wrong and tack on an extra fitting fee she never told me about. Now I am 326 in the hole and have to alter the dress myself anyway. Should never have paid her. My fault on that. Highly disappointed and will never return. I had searched for an alterations company on Yelp in the Roswell area. I needed to have a pair of blue jeans hemmed. I called multiple places and asked for price quotes. Irena offered competitive pricing of $12 to hem the jeans. I stopped by on Saturday to have my jeans measured. My jeans were ready the following Saturday, which worked perfect for me, because I was not in a hurry to wear the jeans. Irena was friendly and professional. I just took me by surprise but as long as the job is done well, it doesn't matter too much I suppose. P R I C E You pay first, when you drop off your item, and you pick up later with the receipt. I paid cash $40 upfront, but she didn't honor the 3.99% discount if you pay cash. Its not that much of savings, so it's not a big deal, but morals and values wise, I am not pleased. I'm big on "being a man of your word", especially if this false advertising is posted literally everywhere in the store (on the window of the store, in each changing room, outside the changing room, on the front desk etc), so I won't be coming back. Ive had many items hemmed before but I didnt pay as much. I decided to try a new place since I just moved. So I also thought $40 was expensive for a 3 inch hem on a basic chiffon David's Bridal dress. Maybe I just don't know how much it costs. I have taken many evening gowns here and they have all been altered perfectly. They are beautiful and are finished in a timely manner. I have no complaints at all and suggest them for evening gowns and bridal gowns (though I personally have never taken a bridal gown there). And they price things very reasonably. They took in one gown from a 6 to a 0 and and a slit and they only charged me $30. Now because I trust them I have also taken a few pairs of jeans and other simple alterations there and I was left underwhelmed. All of the bottom hemlines literally just look like you have rolled up inside. I took one pair of cuffed flair jeans and was VERY specific about how I wanted them to be finished and even supplied photos and they came back the same way as all of the other pants (which look unfinished). I will probably find a new place for those alterations from now on. So I would say for delicate alterations, this is the place, for everyday alterations go elsewhere. Update they did get a difficult alterations done for me overnight and I am very grateful for that. It was a completely lace bridesmaid dress that was about 2 sizes too big and also too long. I ended up having a family emergency and this was out of town until 2 days before the wedding. Needed it the next day. They got it done overnight and it was beautiful!! Keeping it at the three stars because I did pay a premium for the overnight turnaround. read more

I recently moved to Roswell and also, recently lost over 26 pounds, so I visit her shop often as I have some great clothing items I want to keep wearing but need a lot of alterations. So all are done fast, well and I have not spent too much! I have several evening items I plan to have her shop work on. Not sure what success I will have bringing a size 10 dress to become a 4, but it is their craft, so I am confident! They are located on the main road so is easy access. read more

I have been going to Irena's for about 7 years and have never had a complaint. She does very very good alterations for a very good price. Really do a nice job matching thread and style. I will now buy clothes that aren't a perfect fit if they are a good price because I know I can go here and get them perfectly altered and it is all still less than buying full price. I took a bridesmaid's dress here because it was entirely too long - roughly 6 inches too long. I went on a Tuesday morning and was in and out in ten minutes. It might be busier during the afternoons. I picked up my dress a week later, and I have never had a dress' length be so perfect. It's not an inch too short nor an inch too long. They do great work! And their prices are very reasonable to me. I've no experience with alteration services, but I found this first time rewarding. At a group event everyone had been given a free and very nice golf shirt, but hadn't factored in the big guy. Irina was able to add a contrasting panel under the sleeves and down the side (my design) of the same type of material. The fit was perfect, the $20 price seemed fair, and a turn-around just under a week met my needs. Upon my first visit, I was impressed by the precision that underpinned every aspect of our interaction. That precision earned my immediate trust and confidence. And over time, I've continued to value it. Production lead times are clearly communicated and met. Costs are reasonable. The shop is clean and organized. The employees are kind. I am suspicious that Irena is actually a wizard, true story. I sew a lot of my own clothes, and I thought I was good- but after seeing her work I feel like a JV basketball player next to Michael Jordan. I brought my wedding gown here an the advice of my wedding planner. My dress was a bit more complex that most- the bodice is sheer with lots of beading and jewels going down to a drop waist, then the bottom is all soft tulle with a long train and no bustle. Irena took my dress in to perfection, and I CANNOT TELL where her seams are! That is amazing- I have no idea how she did it. The bustle she built in is easy to do and creates a new silhouette for the dress once buttoned. I especially love how she found a natural placement for the bustle which makes it look like it was the designer's intent all along. (we did an american bustle since my dress has a lot going on, french would have looked wrong). I didn't even notice that the waist on the dress was too long for me- but Irena sure did! She took it up maybe 1/2 an inch or so, the detail in her work and her experienced eye is incredible. Also, I've been on the keto diet for like a month and have been losing weight like crazy so every time I came in, the poor thing had to take in he dress even more. We had 3 appointments and I took my dress home- but Irena told me to try it on 2 weeks before I get married and bring it back if I need it in anymore. Love that! My total was under 400 bucks which is great considering how much work went into the alterations. I could not be happier and will use this shop for any other alterations I ever need! read more

I did some research online and found Irena's alteration to hem my wedding dress. Everyone in the shop is so friendly and her shop is very popular during wedding season. There were three alterations before the wedding. So if you have your dress, start early! Give at least 4 or 5 months for the master to finish her magic. During the first one, Irene just hemps the dress and make the bustle since the bride always tries to lose weight before the wedding. The second alteration was two month later, she down sized my dress. The last alteration was 1-2 weeks before the wedding for the final touch up. My dress turned out just as my imagined. It was perfect! Irena is so skilled that she bustled my friend's 6 feet long tail without a blink! I highly recommend Irena to any the bride-to-be. read more

I wanted by daughters's first bday dress to be altered. It was a tutu dress shipped from Dubai by my sister. The dress would not stand up tight and kept dropping off from my daughters chest. I found this place based on good yelp reviews and gave it a try. Irena knew exactly whats wrong the moment I showed her the dress. She patiently read the solutions suggested by the designer of the dress (on my phone). Most people will show attitude as to they know better and would not even care to listen to what u are saying. But this place is different and her team is too good. It needed a shoulder strap and elastic over the crochet to keep the dress up. When the dress was ready, I tried it on my daughter and it needed some more work, they were happy to do it right away and now it fits my daughter perfect. Worst alterations ever known. Irena with her very snarky attitude & disrespect, worst experience ever. She totally butchered my wedding dress & my wedding is in 10 days. She added sleeves to my gown & in turn she damaged the rest of the tulle throughout & threw on the ugliest work, crooked beading & then claims at the end that she "doesn't do sleeves" & that now she has experience & knows she can't do it. She should've told us while she was doing the dress that she couldn't & STOPPED all the work from then & there! Irina crafted the wedding gown of my dreams! I had SO much trouble finding a wedding gown because I wanted something unique with three-quarter length sleeves. After getting completely discouraged about finding a sleeved dress that I liked, I impulsively bought a very wallet-friendly, 4-sizes-too-big, off-the-rack strapless wedding gown from Carrie's boutique and hoped I could find some sort of tulle or lace dress topper that could be sewn in or over top of the dress to create the sleeves. I really wanted a more modern, geometric lace pattern and looked high and low at fabric stores and bridal shops with absolutely no luck. I collected swatches and everything either didn't match the exact shade of my gown or looked like it was a grandmother's old doily. Finally, like some sort of wedding gown miracle, the brilliant idea popped into my head to start searching for white lace CROP TOPS since those seem to be in every store you look these days (although I would never buy one to wear on its own). I began a ShopStyle.com search that would aggregate every white lace crop top on the Internet in my size (and price range) and e-mail me sale alerts when they were found. I ordered probably 5 crop tops in total and one turned out to be the clear winner (I was able to return the ones that didn't work). I found the perfect crop top at Revolve Clothing (revolve.com) for about $50 on sale and took it and my dress to Irina as soon as I could. Irina reworked the neckline and sleeve length, added buttons to match the back of my gown, and sewed the crop top into the dress so that it was completely seamless. I received so many compliments on my one-of-a-kind wedding gown, and I loved being able to wow everyone with the fact that it was a strapless dress and a crop top that were both ON SALE! Irina really did an amazing job putting together the perfect gown for me, and at an affordable price!
