I dropped off an expensive pair of size 0 suit pants and a few other items. When I dropped off, I was asked to leave a review, and said I couldn't because the service hadn't been provided yet. I picked up my items without trying on, and didn't realize until after the shop closed that my pants had been swapped w/ large black trousers. I left a voicemail explaining the situation and that I needed my pants ASAP for a work trip, and they opened the store on Sunday, so that I could come in and help search for them. We ultimately found them, and the cost of hemming them was refunded. They asked me to delete my review, and followed up twice in the hours since I left the shop, which felt a bit pushy. I do appreciate the efforts to resolve and intended to update my review anyway. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, but the process was still frustrating and stressful. I chose Chau's due to the reviews, so I'm updating rather than deleting to note my experience for others.

The other one was a beautiful vintage 1970s shirt that was just a little too long, and had a hole in it. This one was absolutely butchered. It's unwearable. I wanted to keep the hemline, just bring it up a bit, so I could wear it untucked. It's so short now, there's nothing I can do to it. The hole that I asked him to stitch up was just ran through the sewing machine like someone scribbling over a mistake. Would give zero if I could. The service is terrible. The two times I've gone in there, he seems like he's trying to rush you out as quickly as possible. Didn't take ANY effort to try and understand what I wanted, or even how to do his own job. I wasn't even measured. I will never go back and I hope he finds a trade he's better suited for. Fuck this place.

I'd go to battle for this woman. I think I had around 11 appointments with her total? Which is absurd. She was able to work around my travel-heavy job, addressed every little concern or question I had, and gave me the most perfect dress that I could have ever hoped for.
