Amazing... I took an expensive jacket to Alterations by Lee and asked them to downsize it. Apparently this is difficult and expensive process but I was advised that if I was willing to pay the cost they would do their best. The jacket is special to me so I agreed to the (pretty large) total amount and made a 50% deposit with the understanding that I would pay the remaining large balance on pickup...fine by me. After they finished I tried on the jacket and found I wanted the sleeves even shorter than I originally requested, so I asked them to shorten them again with the expectation that I would pay for that part of the work again because they had already done what I originally asked and this was new additional work. When I started to pay the balance, they stopped me and started to talk amongst themselves in another language. They then turned to me to explain that the work had been different than they expected. I immediately thought "Ok...they'll want to charge more than I agreed to pay". Nope...This is where they told me it had been easier to downsize my jacket than they expected and so they wanted to REDUCE the remaining balance dramatically AND they would alter the sleeves again at no additional cost because I'd already paid for that service once. I suppose this is how I knew I should write a review. I can't remember the last time that someone insisted I pay less than the original agreed to written estimate. What an honest and refreshing change! (BTW- the alterations were well done too!) Thank you Alterations by Lee. I'm a new customer and have returned many times since then to have a lot more articles alterations made They are always pleasant, do a great job and always stand behind their work. Alterations By Lee is located right behind Chick-fil-A and AAA odd of Johnson Ferry Road in the shopping center which makes them an easy find. Prior to going in the location I looked at yelp reviews first to see if I wanted to give her a try and I am so glad I did and almost always when I remember to review my yelp reviews they lead me in the right direction. As you can see in one of my pictures Lee is a beautiful lady who cares a lot about her customers and is very friendly and definitely on top of her game. There were a few other people there when I went in he were getting their bridal dresses tailored by her. Her location is very clean and she was able to juggle three customers seamlessly at The same time and with a smile. She asked me when I would like to pick it up and it was within a few days and she didn't flinch and said OK. I picked up my alterations and everything is perfect and I am a happy customer! I highly recommend her as I think you will find she is extremely professional and her tailoring and alterations are top notch. After all, I;ve had to throw away a pair of expensive pants before after another place shortened them too much. I took a pair of boot cut jeans to be shortened to Alterations by Lee. I don't know what happened between the time she measured them to the actual alteration, but they were hemmed way too short. They were at my ankles. I returned them, and she offered to lengthen them. I was concerned there wasn't enough fabric. When I picked them up, they were still too short. She said she would fix them but would have to charge me. I told her it was her mistake, and I shouldn't have to pay. She went to the back room of the shop and didn't come back out. It's not the cost of the hemming. It's the principle and what happens if they are still too short? I will not only be out the cost of paying for the hemming twice but will have jeans that I can't wear. I will not be returning to this shop again. read more
