I dont even know where to begin. I went for my regular yearly visit and I thought I felt a lump on my breast where I already had breast cancer. She examined my breast with such force that the next day my entire breast was purple. I called the office to speak with Dr Irani and was told she would call me back after her last patient. Well the following day she called me and accused me of doing it to myself then she said she had to use pressure to feel if there was a lump. She proceeded to say "where do you want me to send your records don't come here no more" I was also told by Dr Irani "if you don't like my office don't come here " and then rudely hung up the phone. UPDATE: 3 months later and I wound up in the emergency room with heavy bleeding and lots of pressure.. found out i have a LARGE cyst on my ovary that ruptured/was leaking. Dr. Irani had me go in for a transvaginal ultrasound EVERY week. and every week I asked the tech if she could see the cyst because I knew I had one.. the first time she told me it probably dissolved.. then the last time i saw her, i had her check again and she swore there was nothing.. there's no way she could've missed a cyst that large.. now i'm traumatized, frustrated even more & owe thousands of dollars to the hospital for something they could've caught ahead of time read more

Avoid at all cost. Visits always run late, when you call you're on hold for ten minutes, staff is rude and inexperienced. They bill the wrong insurance and if you have the bad luck to call their billing coordinator you literally get yelled at. The huuuuge problem, however, is this particular office. Worst experience ever! I was forced to get out by Irani! 1. I went in on Saturday morning, after waiting outside for more than one hour and then another one hour of waiting inside, I was about to leave and Irani came and informed us that all of her patients would have to wait for more than one hour to see her and nothing abnormal about that. 2. The place is old, small, dirty and disorganized. I was in the examination room and the machines and everything was full of dust. You don't expect to give birth in a place like this. The room can barely accommodate three ppl. 3. When a lady was doing the ultrasound for me, Irani broke into the room asking me to schedule the next appointment with her and force me to choose the hakensack hospital to deliver. It was literally my first appointment after knowing that I'm pregnant. I didn't know what to expect. Without my immediate response, Irani kicked me out of the examination room when I'm still in the middle of an ultrasound with my pants down and undressed. She said that she did the ultrasound for my favor. I have never heard a doctor say things like that because I'm getting charged for every examinations they give me without even informing me. So why is this a 'favor'? 4. Worst blood test ever, the nurse obviously didn't care if she is doing a blood test on a human being or an animal! 5. After getting kicked out of the room, I don't know what to do with all the tests that did on me. Am I going to get test results? Or they just threw my blood sample, urine sample, pep smear sample and ultrasound results out without letting me know if my body is fine or not? I hope no other ladies would have to experience this in their pregnancies because this is not just horrible, it's like they are doing some human trafficking business to sell you the Hackensack hospital. read more

I came here with my wife. We had to fill out her information online. When we checked in, we had to fill it in again. We waited 2 hours past our appointment time before we were called in for intake. We were then told at least 3 other patients were ahead of us, and the assistant could not say when the doctor would be ready. We left and won't be coming back. Over the course of our 2 hour wait, we saw several women go to the receptionist, refund their copay, and leave. One woman came in, very upset, because her doctor had sent her SOMEONE ELSE'S TEST RESULTS. The staff seems pretty aloof, which suggests to me that they are used to the abuse, and that this is not an uncommon day. Run, don't walk, from this doctor's office. read more

THE ABSOLUTE WORST, NEVER COME HERE! I tried to make an appointment, nobody was answering the office phone during stated office hours. After 3 calls, I finally just opted to use the "emergency" answering service. Was routed to someone overseas, made an appointment for a few days later. Arrived at office and saw a small sign stating that no children or infants would be allowed in the office due to corona virus. Other doctor's offices make their new policies clear on their websites, phone lines, etc. other doctor's offices call you ahead to confirm your appointment and confirm you haven't been overseas or has corona symptoms. Nope! Dr. Irani just puts a tiny sign on her door, only visible if you're already there. Having just given birth, there was no where else for me to leave my infant. I asked at the front desk if an exception could me made, and was told OK. I was then made to wait 45 minutes, finally asked to pee in a cup and escorted back to a room where I waited another 15 minutes. Only after having been there a full hour with a small infant, an hour after my scheduled time, I was told the doctor refused to see me because I had a child with me. Absolutely outrageous. Oh, and at NO point was my temperature taken, or was I asked any of the typical doctor's office questions about whether or not I had any corona symptoms. This office is run so poorly and the Dr. Irani is pompous! I have been going to this office for 11 years and they delivered both my boys. I dealt with a lot of waiting over the years (two hours for just a yearly check up!?) but today I finally lost it with them. I was scheduled to get a procedure done with Irani. The hospital called me to confirm three times, and I even went in to get my blood drawn in the Hackensack admissions office. The night before the scheduled surgery, I called Dr. Irani's office to find out what time my surgery (because they never called me!). The office staff was very confused and finally connected me to Dr. Irani. She let me know she couldn't do my procedure. She said it was MY fault, because I never came to fill out the consent forms (her office never called me to do so - and why didn't she just give me the consent forms when I originally scheduled the surgery?!) No apologies or explanations for their error. She really was so condescending. Such a disorganized office .... absolutely terrible. I went to this office years ago, moved away and came back to the area. The Dr. thought yelling at me for moving away was the right thing to do; it wasn't. I blew that off. My last appointment there, although I was in and out in under an hour was absolutely ridiculous. I started to get pissed when the Dr. said "let's check and see if you're in menopause..." I said "what do you mean? Your office called me 4 years ago with the results of the blood work and told me I was....how do you not know that; how come you don't have it in the notes? You have your staff calling patients and telling them they're in menopause and you have no record of that?" There were a few other issues that popped up one being the paperwork filled out by me....I'm in the exam room and the nurse is asking me the same questions I answered; I finally told her it was a waste of time because my answers weren't going to change in under 10 minutes...and personality? OK i get it, who the hell wants to start their Saturday in a gyno office at 8:00...but seriously? Your profession...get a grip... I'm seriously considering finding another Dr. for next year. My insurance changed & was no longer acceptable & I was willing 2 pay cash but was declined by the cold hearted billing dept. WARNING, DO NOT GO TO THIS WOMAN!! WORST DOCTOR EVER!!!!!!!! I have never in my life written a review but this lady left me no choice. If i could give her 0 stars I would. I am a physician assistant and I went to Dr. Irani for prenatal care starting in April 2020. I had just had a miscarriage about 3 months prior to seeing her for my 1st appointment. She was very kind and friendly at first but a lot of the information she was giving me was outdated and just inaccurate. For example she tried to convince me to take sick leave for the remainder of my first trimester because she believed not working could prevent me from having another miscarriage. I knew something was off but decided to stay because she was one of the few doctors in my network that delivered at the hospital of my choice. At my first visit, she was supposed to perform a pap smear but forgot to do one. To my surprise, before my next appointment I received my 1st trimester test results which included results form a pap smear that was never done. Where she got the sample for the pap smear only heaven knows, I suspect it was from what she got on her fingers when she performed a bi manual exam on me which is where the doctor places 2 fingers in the vagina and then places the other hand on your belly to feel the uterus. But this is not at all how a pap smear is performed and there is no way you could get a proper sample this way. There was no speculum used, and my cervix was certainly not swabbed. So I politely and respectfully asked her at my next appointment why I received results from a pap smear that was never performed. She said she would look into it and get back to me at the next appointment. The next appointment came and I brought it up again. She told me that she did do the pap smear and that I don't remember it because she did it so fast I didn't even notice. Excuse me????? Its almost impossible to not notice a pap smear no matter how quickly its done. And why would any doctor do a procedure without letting the patient know?? Also a pap smear can be an uncomfortable procedure, any sane person would remember. As a clinician myself, I have performed several pap smears and would know when one is being done to me. So I requested to see her daughter, Dr. Chait, for my next appointment. I explained the situation to her and advocated for myself. Being that I have a history of abnormal paps and hadn't had one in 3 years I just wanted to make sure everything was OK. Her daughter, Dr. Chait, was kind enough to do one for me. The next day to my surprise, Dr. Irani called me angry and yelling at me saying how dare I accuse her of not doing a pap smear when the results show that she did. She said that as a medical professional myself, how could I accuse her, another professional of such a mistake. She told me that since I don't trust her I have no place at her practice and she could not be my doctor anymore, then she hung up on me. She barely allowed me to get a word in, all I was able to say was that I meant no disrespect, I just don't believe a pap smear was ever done. I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a practitioner in my life. I have always been polite to this woman, even when I knew she was telling me nonsense, I always respected her trying my best to not make her feel insulted. I did not deserve to be yelled at and hung up on. Then to dismiss me from her practice in the middle of my pregnancy. I was just speechless. She left me in tears. Even If the pap had been done, this was still no way to handle the situation. I would never talk to a patient like this, especially a pregnant patient with anxiety due to a recent miscarriage. All I was trying to do was stand up for myself. I wanted to make sure I did not have cervical cancer. Who on earth would want 2 pap smears?? Clearly she does not like to be corrected. But no one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes including doctors! No medical practitioner should EVER make you scared to advocate for yourself for fear of being verbally abused or dismissed as a patient.This was abominable and disgusting behavior that should never be tolerated. NO ONE should ever be treated this way. In my professional opinion DO NOT GO TO THIS WOMAN!! she is unprofessional, egotistical, and does not practice evidence based medicine. As a previous MD office manager I always give any office I visit the benefit of the doubt. Everyone has an off day. Sadly I have yet to have a good experience in the office. 1st new patient visit: waited over an hour for the doctor mostly in the waiting room. Was not informed the doctor was running late. Examination was hurried and my expressed concerned were completely ignored. 2nd visit: called to discuss lab result from other doc. Please note had to go to another doc to get the test I needed. Arrived waited another hour. Staff had no idea why I was there. I did hand them a copy of my blood work upon arrival. Despite the glowing reputation this facility has I experienced terrible customer service, lack of bed side manner, and no attention to detail. I had been going to this office for years in hopes that it would change but it hasn't. The office staff is extremely rude, the receptionists will put you on hold and never get back to you, the receptionists will lie to you saying that they called in your prescription to your pharmacy when they actually didn't. I was having an issue for quite a while and I asked Dr. Irani for other solutions I could try rather than constantly taking prescription medication but all she did was continuously give me prescriptions. I finally found a new Dr. and this new Dr. actually gave me a list of things I could try to resolve my issue, the first thing I tried worked, which is to take Acidophilus vitamins - it was that simple yet Dr. Irani never told me that!! Between the long wait time. horrible office staff and the doctor does not return calls or give test results. At my last visit she ordered tests and I waited 5 weeks for the results after numerous calls to the office and messages that were left for Dr. Irani. I call one last time to tell them I want my results forwarded to me so I can send to my primary and a nurse reads the results off the paper. Then the next night Dr. Irani calls to give me results and tell me she will forward my records to me. Never asked why I was leaving, never apologized. I have never met Dr. Irani, so for her to call me with an attitude regarding something that has nothing to do with her caught me very much off guard. She refused to help me get my records transferred to my new OBGYN and then hung up on me. How is this a professional that people trust to care for them at their most vulnerable? It took me over a week to get this simple task done. A week of being on hold, a week of repeating myself, a week of being told it would be taken care of, a week of extreme stress during the first trimester of my first pregnancy. My wife went here in terrible agony and was treated rudely by staff with 1.5 hours wait. The doctor denied that an obvious infection exists. Didn't take her temperature. When she came home I checked and it was 101*F which rose up to 104*F by the evening.. luckily she had been prescribed antibiotics which helped. I am so mad I will be looking into this further. When I asked how much longer the wait would be since I had been waiting 90 minutes already, and they said I'd be "called back" but "not seen" within the next 20 minutes. I have been going to Dr. Irani for the past 20 years. She delivered my 18 year old son, performed my hysterectomy, as well as other minor surgeries. I moved to Monmouth County many years ago, but still travel to Bergen County to see Dr. Irani because I refuse to see anyone else. It is like going to your mom for a doctors visit. She is so personable, sweet and caring, and at the same time professional. She spends as much time as you need during your visit. You will never feel rushed. She is the best! read more
