And heh, when a store gets better and better over time - with product offerings, and customer service - it's a pleasure acknowledging this with an updated review. Like I said previously - "everything, and more" - and now, even more!! The staff are so innovative in utilizing the space they have, and more and more products have become available over the years. They still carry a wide-range of odds & ends items - we seek from time to time - but as well, and appreciated, so many other useful household and related items, and even some staples, that are required on a more frequent basis (including food and drink products). And it's still my lady's favourite place for puzzle and word books, some craft supplies, and related). The customer service - I (we) have never experienced the high level of help and assistance delivered here at any other similar store. For me - it works with helpful 'finding something' assistance as required. For my lady though, much more - helpful finding of items, assistance with carrying to check-out, packing, and such - and all so appreciated!! This is a 'Dollar Store', not a Supermarket, or such!! I said we were happy to have such a place in our neighbourhood. I can now emphasize that a touch, and bump up their overall rating -- with 'yes', we are fans!! Thanks guys - you do, what you do so well, and it's appreciated!

The strong smell of rubber gave me a headache that lasted for a couple hours :-( they had some doggy items I haven't seen at other dollar stores.

From rugs to water guns, mirrors to Mars bars, you never know what you're going to find. On my most recent visit we found a North face t- shirt for $8 & Eddie Bauer lounge pants for $12. Lots of snack food, breakfast foods and drinks at discount prices. If you go in hoping to get something in particular, I'm afraid you will likely be disappointed. If on the other hand you're just looking for bargains, this place is hard to beat. Keep your wits about you and you'll do well here - just be sure to check the expiry dates as some items are closer to expiry than others.

Profits go towards a good cause so that's definitely a bonus compared to other for-profit thrift stores. There's also a free membership program where people can collect and redeem points. I've gotten brand name clothes for a few bucks here and brand name nice bags for $20-30. There's everything from clothes snd accessories, to household products and furniture. There are also gaming systems, instruments, books, baby items, beauty products and much more. They run rotating 50%+ off sales every day on different types of items Sometimes it'll be clothes, sometimes it's kitchen products, sometimes it's arts and craft items. They post the daily sales on their Instagram page so it's super convenient to look up what's on sale before going. I've also made a bunch of donations to the store - just drop off stuff in the bins behind the building during their collection hours.

But got a bit disappointed earlier today, I went in such a rush driving as I came all the way from Surrey trying to catch the store open before they close. Since there is no store like this in there. So I got there around 8:36, and asked the lady if I could have the birthday balloons decorations I needed to surprise my friend. This is around 8:40. Got told that she can't because apparently they close the helium tank by 8:30 or 8:40, and there's no chance she can do it she said. This is disappointing for not being so reliable coming to this kind of situation. I know I came and ask at 8:40. But still there is so much time to get it done. It's not like I wanted 100 balloons blown up. Some people have work and just got off but still try to make time and rush to be able to get what they need for the occasion. I have been to the other locations in the past getting the same things every time there is an event and I need something. This location is the only one who refused to put helium on the balloons, because it's already off by 8:30/40. Says that store closes at 9pm. But some of the resources inside are not even available by 8:30pm, is what's crazy. Just wanted to let everything out here, cause this simple thing ruined the whole plan for the surprise I have tonight. Not a reliable store.

Every single visit feels like I'm being treated as a criminal. The owner constantly sends employees to trail me around the aisles as if I'm shoplifting -- despite the fact that I've been a long-time paying customer. One incident that clearly triggered this nonsense was when I was injured and using a cane. I was juggling my cane, shopping bag, and items, realized I forgot something, and walked back to add it to my purchase before paying. Apparently basic common sense escaped them, because since then I've been watched like I'm about to rob the place.

Moreover there is a huge parking for people preferring using their own vehicles. My big favourite is the Shiatsu Massage place, with a walk in clinic. So you can just put your name, do some shopping and then get a relaxing or therapeutic massage. My only minus is the food court, not the best choice of food and can be greasy at time.

It now only operates Friday, Saturday and Sunday which is extremely frustrating because what if someone needs help on the other days? I got one of those gift vouchers as a prize to redeem a gift card and on the voucher it said their guest service desk is open Monday to Friday still so I went to try to redeem it but it wasn't possible because it was closed. I went on a Friday then it was closed too, on the day it's supposed to be open and there was a sign to visit their management office and guess what? It was closed too. I called security and then they just said "I don't know when they'll be back they probably went out for their break or lunch. Sorry." So that was the help I got initially. I had to wait a while for someone to help me inside the management office. I can at least say the staff who I interacted with were friendly I just wish they had implemented a better system or had more customer service representatives to help out. Maybe they're just trying to cut people's hours down.

Unfortunately the prices all seem 50 cents to many bucks more than the other dollar stores in this area.

The Coquitlam location has a rather poor layout with narrow aisles and food products spread throughout the store. Most of not all are past their best by date which you'll hear Bianca herself explaining does not mean they're expired. Yes she has her own in store promotional videos playing on repeat. Generally I would expect items that other supermarkets have passed on to be heavily discounted. Some of the prices here are competitive, others seem haphazard. It feels a bit slapstick as if the people who price items at value village are putting in a shift here. I digress - once in awhile you'll come across something good - perhaps popcorn or another snack, perhaps a gallon can of beans, perhaps a Nike swimsuit or t- shirt with some loose threads. Generally though, go in with low expectations and you might be surprised. Plenty of parking out front and the location is just around the corner from The Brick(& a value village).

Pro-tip check the best before date on food as some items are past their best before dates but are still OK and priced cheaply because of it. If you need anything for your home including rugs, appliances, toys, clothes they have that too. In a way this place is like a super dollar store where you can still find a lot of things for less.
