I love the tacos and chips and queso!! Love the self-checkout too to make everything easy.

My wife and I checked it this new restaurant about a week ago. It has a very cool interior and the food was good. The staff were very helpful explaining a couple of the menu items we weren't familiar with. We ended up ordering a few tacos, elotes, and a mulas. We enjoyed the mulas the most. The tacos were also good. The elotes was a little disappointing. It seemed to lack the mayo and cheese that makes elotes great. My wife got a horchata drink which was along the lines of a shake. My only real complaint is the prices. For the two of us it was right around $30.00. We felt this was easily $5.00 more than what it should be. A friend of mine went with his wife and two toddlers. Their bill was almost $50.00. He said he will go back but not take his kids again. I can't imagine that is the goal of the owners. But overall, I definitely recommend checking the place out. And who knows, perhaps they'll adjust the prices downwards a bit? read more

Carried out today, and everything was delicious! We tried a little bit of everything, because we couldn't decide. We had the following: 2 taco plate with rice and beans: both tacos were carne asada on corn tortillas. Had a lot of meat, and very flavorful. The rice was top notch as well. Shrimp taco on a flour tortilla: again, had a lot of shrimp, and the toppings complimented the shrimp very well Vampiro: this was my favorite item! I tried the chorizo verde. Was perfectly crunchy, and all of the flavors just popped. Mula: this was also very good! Not your standard quesadilla. We had the chicken. Elotes: one of my favorite items to try whenever I see it on any menu. This one was great. Was very creamy, but not overpowering, and the corn had a great crunch. Placed my order online, and it was ready when I arrived. Everything tasted fresh and was packaged well. Overall, I'll definitely be returning. First time customer I have to say the ground beef taco is very good. I don't know that it's worth almost 6 dollars but it's good they elote taco was horrible. BAD The sauce that they put on there is super spicy and I could not eat it and I also ordered that as a side, because I love elote, and I could not eat either one. The rice is very plain and bland, the nachos were smothered in sauces to the point you couldn't even eat them and it was a very small portion for the price I would probably come again to try one of the shakes and maybe a beef taco but nothing else read more

I had a training in Naperville, so for lunch I was on the search for something good. One of my colleagues suggested Invicto. He recommended the "vampiros" tostada. I tried a steak vampiro and a streak burrito. The vampiro was delicious, but kind pricey at $7 for a tostada. The burrito was reasonably priced at $10, but it was extremely disappointing as there was very little meat and way too much rice and beans. Places like this are just asking to go out of business when being so cheap. I would rather paid a dollar or two more and been happy with my burrito; rather than feeling ripped off. Naperville doesn't have a lot of Latin options, so they'll get away with it for awhile, but there's to much good Latin food in the area to continuously get played by these fools. read more

This place has been on my to-do list for a while and my reaction after having lunch here is - What have I been waiting for???!!! (Of course maybe the pandemic to clear up a bit) We ordered take out for my wife's birthday lunch so we tried a little of everything. The Chips and guacamole was excellent! Freshly made quac mashed not pureed topped with cilantro and pepitas. Fries and queso. The queso was a revelation. Ive had lots of queso but never so spicy snd tasty! I'd stop by just for this. Chicken, pork, and steak tacos- all so yummy you want more. And yet they weren't small and dinky like at Chipotle (where it seems tacos were an afterthought). Meaty with tons of fixings. YUM! And a chicken mula that was also great. The rice and beans but were authentic and fresh. I can't wait to try the burritos. The tacos are authentic, a great value and better than Chipotle's (as well as most places that tout "authentic Mexican") . And better than the other new Mexican place in town, Guzman Y Gomez (which frankly is bland and not even as good as half dozen other places nearby including Chipotle). Food, quality & taste: 5 stars Ambiance: 4 stars (like the vibe) Value: 5 stars Update: Have to update this for their Burritos. My advice is to skip them and stick with the tacos. I had the Steak Cali Burrito and frankly it was just ok. 3 stars. Though Im now firmly convinced I don't like fries in any sandwich (why turn that crunchy goodness with a mushy mess) the real reason for this update and the three stars is the meager amount of meat. I kept wondering when I was going to hit the steak part. I was half way through when I realized I had. Lol. Small strips of meat. Out gunned by the queso and fries. It wasn't bad. Just uninspiring. Ordered the hot cheeto California burrito. I tried their chorizo. Big mistake. They did not pit the cheetos in and the burrito was stuffed with a green playdo like substance. Apparently their chorizo is different? Also tried their elote. It tasted ok but it came out room temperature. So did the burrito. Wasn't busy and both orders took forever. These Naperville people think food like this is good. Probably comparing it to Chipotle. Dear napervillians, You need to go try some real Mexican food . What a breath of fresh air in suburbia! I love the personality of this place. Beautifully designed, with delicious and fun food. I was looking for a restaurant to celebrate a new job as we're all in lockdown from the virus. Since I'm not super familiar with the area (we're hiding out here from the situation in NYC), I searched for dinner restaurants in Naperville. This was a very clear stand out. I was told it was 25 min away from our place, so I looked for another option. All paled in comparison to their vibe. So we made the trek, for take out and had fun eating seasoned fries (yum + kinda rebellious for a taco place?), a churro milkshake, tacos, vampiros and mulas. Yum! Highly recommend. I found this place on tiktok, and decided to suggest it to my family for dinner. my mother and tia said the aesthetics reminded them of a restaurant in Mexico but more upscale. We tried the margarita, Paloma and michelada. The margarita was good but not strong. I would recommend the michelada or Paloma. I ordered the taco plate, 1 shrimp and 1 fish. The shrimp was very good! The fish taco I felt had more sauce than fish, and the spice overpowered the fish. The rice was delicious, and authentic. The beans were also delicious. I came for a ladies night out and there were 9 of us. There was plenty of seating for us and we loved the atmosphere - not too loud or crowded to have some good conversation. I got an arabes (pork) taco and a crispy avocado taco. Avocado looked new to me so I had to try it but I won't get it again, it was just, meh. The pork tacos though, delish! I want to head back in there now just to get a couple tacos to go. Two tacos and a margarita was a perfect dinner and drink for me. Invicto rocks out the best and most generous tacos, with real flavors and meats! Everything on their menu is awesome but their taco stands out, both within themselves and compared to their competitors! If you like guacamole, their pork & bacon and chicken tacos comes with it. Their steak tacos packs great flavors too. Their steak cermita is basically a burger that comes with pounded and deep fried steak, with plenty of lettuce and beautiful queso, topped with some Mexican spicy sauce which packs quite a punch. If you have low heat tolerance as I am, better to ask them to leave it out. The quesadilla and mula are excellent. Miles are basically quesadillas packed with meats inside with queso provided on the side. The quesadilla itself is really well made, soft and cheesy but not oily. Taste is phenomenal! On top of these, Invicto's salsa which is located by the soda machines inside a fridge. They are super delicious and matches their food superbly. Went here for my final meal during my Illinois trip. I had heard mixed reviews but saw a California burrito on the menu so I really wanted to give it a try. As soon as I arrived I was disappointed to see their tortillas are made of lard and are not vegetarian so I had to get tacos/vampiros. I got a mushroom taco and an avocado vampiro with rice and beans. It was ok, nothing special. Rice and beans were really bland. It definitely looked much better than it tasted. My husbands meal was not good though, he asked for carne asada tacos with just meat and cheese, he cannot stand onions. They made the tacos and they were full of onions. He asked about it and they said that's how they make it. I get that, but also when my husband specifically said he only wanted meat and cheese, they should've let him know that the meat comes with a LOT of onion in it. He didn't even eat them. Great new addition to Naperville! I have tried several things here and the burrito is by far my favorite. For the price, the portion you get is pretty generous. I usually eat half and save the other half for later. The burrito is loaded with the usual suspects but they also include fries, which makes this a food coma worthy burrito. The menu states it comes with steak however I have asked them to substitute a different protein before. The taco prices are a bit steep for me at nearly $4 a taco. I tried the crispy avocado tacos, which I was skeptical about, but it was really good! It was not what I had imagined and the avocado was crisped just right and not oily. If you have room, I suggest getting the elotes, Mexican street corn. Very flavorful and a great side to your meal. Cute decor with good food, what's not to like! read more

A great place! It's an instant happy-face type of place. We had a large group so we found an area where we just pulled together a few tables. You order at one window and then pickup at another. I was quite impressed with the size of the tacos in proportion of meat as it was quite hefty for what we normally experience with street style tacos. The value really got me based on the quantity. The fillings were all very tasty as we tried every protein option. Felt that I could have made at least 2 tacos with the meat of one...so I asked for some extra tortillas and mission accomplished... The burrito was neat since it had fries inside as well. It's not typical authentic Mexican style joint, but it's somewhat of a blend of tex-mex, cali-mex style (they serve a hot dog too...and...you could have a horchata cold brew coffee...what's?!) Very happy with the fusion but still respecting the cilantro & onion - it's a natural law for tacos..., and the flavors as it's just down right tasty. I liked the Arabe...pork& Bacon? Yeah that goes well with pork...it's pork baby! We had a cemitas with Milanese de res which is a pounded breaded steak. The size was pretty decent size and came with avocado spread. A good crusty, sesame-mi sandwich! I particularly liked the help yourself salsa fridge - roast pepper, Verde, piña. I could drink each of the house made salsas. They are that good. The piña salsa had a nice mellow sweetness from the pineapple and it was good on everything that I had. All my food was drenched in it and so was I! (the hole for the squeeze bottles really need to be larger...) If you're around Naperville, definitely need to try this place out. It's located in a nice development with lots of shops and restaurants. It's a neat place and a great place to check out for sure. Come here for the tastes, it's non-traditional modernized menu which keeps it interesting. The portion-cost ratio is in line with my value matrix and the place is so Insta-grammable (I'm not hip enough for abbreviations or millennial lexicon...). Invicto is a new trendy Mexican restaurant with a super fun decor. Bright lights and colors makes this a very welcoming place. My husband and I tried a quite a few things off their menu and we loved all of it! The elotes we ordered were super creamy and flavorful. We got the Pollo asado, Chorizo and Aguacate Fritos (Crispy Avocados) tacos. All tacos were absolutely delicious, crispy avocado being the very best!! Also, when you buy a meal at Invicto, they provide a school meal to a child living in poverty, which is a fantastic initiative! Yummilicious. That is probably the best and easiest way to describe this place. This is a nice, clean, retro-feel modern-day Mexican food. It's as far as authentic you can get while having amazingly delicious food The building is very easy to find. It's in the strip mall of foods with anything and everything you want can be found here. Walking in, you are greeted with the bar, a good amount of seats/tables and then the counter where you can order your food No cash here people! The staff is very friendly. I ordered the Pork and Bacon Taco. Also the Chorizo Verde (Chorizo and Salsa Verde) and the Fried Avocado Taco. Plus I ordered the Chips and Queso. The Tacos were all amazing. The Pork/Bacon has a lot of flavor and there was plenty of meat. Same goes with the Chorizo... many different depths of flavor with it and a lot of meat too. However the Fried Avocado was a little lacking compared to the other two. Don't get me wrong... this was my favorite but the two meat tacos was overfilled with meat but this had like 5-6 pieces and was not overflowing. After I got done ordered, they asked me if I wanted the Queso and chips now or later. I choose now. And wow... best Queso I've ever had in my life. You know how most places will give you a lot of chips with a small cup of Queso. This place was the opposite... you got a giant cup of Queso. On one side of the wall had a cooler of different sauces. Salsa Verde was good. Pina Chipotle was my favorite... good sweetness with a good Smokey spicy flavor. Chile Arbor (I think) was decently spicy to me... tasted almost like Sambol, the Asian chili sauce. Ranchero was good. Overall I am a fan of this restaurant. Great food and great atmosphere. I love this place. It feels like I am being taken to Mexico, but I with the interior design, but music and FOOD! The food is so amazing. I love the taste and the tacos or burritos or mulas that were seasoned and cooked to perfection with generous stuffing of meats! Each meat tastes different which sounds redundant but at some spots, it is they tastes exactly the same and you can't tell the difference one over another.
