We spoke with the front desk and went over exactly what I needed the Dr to take over. She called back saying he could take over my care. I had trouble finding specialists, and was glad to finally see someone with experience treating my conditions. At first glance, online, Dr. Kleronomos looks legit (of course, there are still plenty of red flags if you look closely). But at the time, I didn't see the negative reviews and I went into the appointment with high hopes. After describing in detail how this illness shattered my life, how it's worse than 5 concussions combined, he decided -- in the middle of the appointment -- to take off his mask. He was seated feet away from me and seemed puzzled when I asked him to put it back on. This was during the summer wave of 2022. Cases were extremely high, and masks were still required in all healthcare settings. Unfortunately, this was only the second most traumatic thing he did during the appointment. All I feel comfortable sharing publicly about the rest of what happened is that I'm still in therapy over what he did to me. I filed a complaint with the medical board because people like him should at least have to answer to somebody. Of course, like most medical institutions, the response was inadequate. Not exactly change makers at the medical board. However, they did issue a letter of concern for his medical file. And they don't do that for every case. Dr. Klerenomos' response to this review will be predictably dismissive and defensive. He'll hide behind the medical board decision, and pretend it was vindication. But he and I know what happened that day. And he'll have to live with the guilt of knowing that his story may change but the truth never does. Please, if you are sick and out of options, go anywhere but here. I'm saying something publicly because if it means one person is spared the trauma of him, I will rest easier. You may think you're at rock bottom. But I wish someone had warned me that seeing Dr. Kleronomos would be the worst day of my life.

We decided to use our insurance because we had met our deductible and therefore our cost was minimal. What he doesn't tell you is the insurance negotiated price is $370.36. At least for our insurance, which payed 90% and we payed $33.00. Each. When I picked up the shoe inserts for my husband and myself they said we owed $618. Total. I stupidly payed because I thought I still had not covered my deductible. I called my insurance and found out I had payed my deductible and not only that, they charged me $1236. Not $618. This is cash by the way!!! I had to dispute the charge at my bank and notified my insurance. My insurance payed them the negotiated price. My problem here is even if they were going to charge me the cash price the cost would have been $400. Each not $618. Each. I wonder how many other patients have been ripped off.

Pros: no insurance, no problem. They will work with you with sliding scale. Great Dr's and medical assistants. Friendly staffs. Cons: every time I call to schedule the operator is not friendly, they sound like in rush and if I need to talk to the assistant of the doctor they dont transfer they want you to always leave message and they are not good in returning call back. They really need to work on this to improve better service.

Aberash Assefa was literally the worst physician I've ever seen. She does not listen to a word you…read moresay and could care less about any complaints you may have. She is rude, condescending, confrontational and in my opinion psychologically unfit to practice medicine. She does not give a reason for anything she does, at all. I asked her a dozen times why she prescribed a pediatric dosage of pregabalin and she never, ever responded; she just kept refilling the minimum child dosage -- for a 69 year old male with severe chronic arthritis and debilitating back pain. She said I needed dental work and would schedule an appointment for me. Weeks later I called to follow up and was told I did not have dental insurance, which is absurd. I have full medical and dental with my Medicare plan, which they know since they billed Medicare for my appointment. She said she would have someone remove a ring stuck on my arthritic finger while I was there. I waited until an assistant came and told me to leave and call or message for an appointment to have the ring removed. When I called they told me to go to emergency for that. She refused to prescribe diazepam (12 pills a month like all my previous physicians), gave absolutely no explanation as to why; and instead, she sent me to a pain clinic -- for insomnia! The pain clinic she sent me to was an outright scam. They basically extort you to endure their ridiculously expensive, painful and useless spinal injections, and if you refuse, they do not prescribe the meds you actually need. I told her about the absurdity of enduring spinal injections just to get valium for my insomnia and asked her to at least prescribe an adult dose of pregabalin. Instead, she refused to authorize even my current monthly refill and instructed me to go back to the pain clinic! Then she stopped responding to calls and messages altogether. She literally abandoned me as a patient, without cause, without notice, without explanation and with prescriptions pending! As a result of her abject malpractice I have endured months of debilitating pain, lost hundreds of hours of work and suffered countless sleepless nights. I should not have to suffer for her gross negligence and incompetence. I am reporting her and the clinic to Medicare, OMB, AMA and HHS. Anyone who treats their patients like human waste should not be allowed to practice medicine, much less receive taxpayer funding for doing so. PS: They boast a 4.5 rating on their website, claiming it's from "random" surveys from an anonymous 3rd. party. This wreaks of fraud as their Yelp and Google reviews are closer to 2 stars. I'm guessing they publish this misinformation to facilitate government funding.
