At least for our insurance, which payed 90% and we payed $33.00. Each. When I picked up the shoe inserts for my husband and myself they said we owed $618. Total. I stupidly payed because I thought I still had not covered my deductible. I called my insurance and found out I had payed my deductible and not only that, they charged me $1236. Not $618. This is cash by the way!!! I had to dispute the charge at my bank and notified my insurance. My insurance payed them the negotiated price. My problem here is even if they were going to charge me the cash price the cost would have been $400. Each not $618. Each. I wonder how many other patients have been ripped off.

He took plenty of time to listen to my daughter as she gave her history. It was immediately clear that he is an expert on the subject. He took measurements to assess her current status. He stressed that he favors a holistic approach to treatment. And he started treatment by teaching her a few exercises that she could do to help relax her joints. He was very kind and patient during that process. He was also very perceptive and reflected an understanding of her condition that was beyond the short conversation we had. He left my daughter with written instructions, diagrams, and even videos of how to perform the simple exercises he recommended starting with. We will return in a week to check progress and get additional coaching from Gerrit. I'm greatly optimistic that Gerrit will be able to improve my daughter's condition and looking forward to seeing what develops over the next ten weeks of treatment. The office staff were very kind and helpful and the office is clean, bright, and well equipped. The location is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. I do recognize that they could have more doctors on staff but I get great care & advice from Jake Murgoitio as a Physician Assistant, Pharmacist Eric Ballew and incredible nurses. The Eye Services (Optometry and Ophthalmology) transitioned away from this clinic to the Portland VA Medical Center but I think it was a good way to be more efficient. Mostly because I had excellent medical coverage that was fully paid for by my employer. Back then there were no co-pays, no deductibles... and you could be seen the same day if you needed medical care. Plus, back then the VA hospitals didn't have the greatest reputation so I let some less fortunate Veteran take my slot if they needed care. Fast forward a few decades and I have become a "regular" at the VA when I have medical issues. I did not enlist in the military because I wanted free healthcare for life. But I have to say that considering how things have gone in America these past 20+ years I feel blessed to be a VA client. The Hillsboro clinic is my go-to for routine care and annual physicals. I have a great PCP and the staff there has been consistently amazing. Not some of the staff. All of them, without exception. Every year they draw massive amounts of blood for proactive testing. So a special shout out to the nurses who work in that department. They are sticking hundreds of Veterans ever day and have been doing so for a very long time. So it's about as painless as it gets. And I say that being not all that crazy about needles. My only complaint is that it can take a long time to see my PCP and even longer if he refers me to a specialist. Easily two months. Often considerably longer. I did have a recent health emergency... the first significant health emergency in my overly long life. I had to go to the VA hospital emergency room and they took me in immediately. At midnight. I gave my name, last four and my dob. 30 seconds later a nurse was hooking me up to all sorts of plumbing and literally saved my life. I wrote a review of that facility on Yelp as well. Complaints about the VA or the people who work there? HA! So, while the long waits for care is certainly an issue they are certainly not uncommon especially with the for-profit facilities. I've been on Medicare Advantage (which I pay a LOT for every month) for 15 years but have never used any of those services. The care I receive from the VA meets all my needs so I'm happy. My PCP has waaaay too many patients and the staff at all of these facilities is way overworked. Still, when you show up they treat you like you are the only person in the world. Total professionals one and all. I have never once had a bad or disappointing experience at this clinic or at any VA facility. I am very grateful to the folks who work there and I honestly don't understand what all the griping is about. Maybe it's just that some people would complain if their [FREE!] ice cream was too cold?

I had a knee replacement over a year ago and experienced previously poor results in obtaining both…read morea desirable range of motion (ROM) and regaining lost strength in the knee. Previous PT at another provider was insufficient to resolve these problems and I felt like the PT provider tried to persuade me to live with these extreme limitations. PT has been progressing well at Westside PT and I'm particularly pleased with the results that I've seen from their Biodex Isokinetic Dynamometer. In an extremely well controlled and measurable structure, I have slowly begun to increase both my strength and ROM, both of which I have been unpleased with from my previous progress. I especially like that I have agency to control how much I push myself instead of relying on the PT provider to arbitrary set those limits. You may want to consider this as an option for knee replacement patients especially if you are experiencing an insufficient return of ROM and strength. It is also highly recommended, by myself, for those that appreciate seeing a well organized, measurable structure to PT. It is still early days and I intend to continue PT for many more weeks but the progress has been both measurable and transformative. I refuse to believe that I must live with the inadequate results of my previous PT failure and this place is helping me to achieve what I know is possible.
