To my surprise making the appointment online was incredibly easy and I was able to complete everything without any need to call and speak to anybody. That was awesome! I don't have a lot of time in my day to call and go through the endless back-and-forth of trying to find a date which works. Of course with any medical provider the equality of service is the most important piece. I felt as if the doctor took the time to understand my problem and to learn what activities I wanted to get back to that I wasn't able to. He suggested physical therapy exercises that I may not have tried before and quickly made a referral to get an MRI after I told him all of the different things I had tried before coming to see them. While no one wants to go see a doctor, if you do need to see a sports medicine doctor, this is the place to go.

They communicate clearly and follow through on their end whether it's for refills, referrals or getting more information. Their staff are excellent. I've never felt looked down on or condescended towards. I've also never felt like I was being treated as if I were an addict, which sadly is not true of all pain clinics. They ask questions each and every time I see them to stay up to date on how I'm doing and how things are working for me. They are open and honest about the benefits and detriments of available treatment and while they only handle pain management, they do view patients holistically to help me get all the care I need both in and outside of their office. I wish all medical providers and especially pain clinics were like this.

Balog 's office never did fax my left shoulder arthrogram to my surgeon. In May 2019, Balog's office finally got around to faxing to my orthopedic surgeon of record since 2016-- a mish-mash of incomplete medical reports that did not include my arthrogram MRI report. No where did Carl Balog indicate that I was a surgical referral. Therefore, Carl Balog claimed that he was coordinating a surgical plan with my orthopedic surgeon of record in a timely manner since 10-2018 and in 11-2020 he never did. In addition, Balog instead sent out two different medical charts-- one report went to the insurer and a totally different medical chart was sent to to me. Despite his knowing of this problem it continued for eight months Balog did not provide me a medical chart for 04-2020 or 05-2020 despite my request for these reports. Since COVID-19 Balog has not seen me in person since March of 2020 and we were having medical appointments every month by phone.

Specifically, Veronica the MA in the orthopedic clinic, Dr. Hwang and his PA Michael Cunningham as well as Heidi Tyson my rehab therapist are all excellent. My experience at the surgical center was also as smooth as I could have possibly imagined. The staff, nurses, and anesthesia team were great. I never felt like I was in a scary hospital setting, and people paid attention and checked in on me often. As a fellow healthcare professional I know how to run a business and care for patients without my office feeling like a people mill. This is not like other large clinics or hospitals I have been to. It feels more personal and more like a family practice.

Only barely 3 figures. We never even received a bill or late notice. They have also sent an amount to collections for me (mid 2 figures, not a joke) for something I have no record of. We can pay and are not criminals because your billing practices are hopelessly disorganized. Untrustworthy and malicious in its practices. Petty in its operations. Avoid. I would sue them myself if not for the fact that unlike them I am mature enough not to care about such petty amounts. Let's all hope the desperation is a sign of imminent failure of their business.

Dr. Cole spent maybe 7 minutes with me. He recommended a brace and sent me to a durable medical equipment (DME) company. I was measured for a custom brace, but the DME company needed updated orders from Dr. Cole to bill my insurance. DME representative started working with an individual at ROC, then the communication went silent. Roughly a month later we learned that the ROC representative resigned and no one monitored her emails. Found a second person to talk to at ROC and they have now gone silent. Finally reached Dr. Cole's MA and he has now gone silent. Original appointment was in June. It's now August and we (me and DME company) still have not received a response from ROC or Dr. Coles office with a response to a very simple question. I still do not have my brace. This is beyond horrible. There are many good orthopedic alternatives.

After experiencing pain that was significantly affecting my quality of life (ie: I was on prescription painkillers on my wedding day, and our honeymoon trip to Whistler, Canada, turned into a sightseeing excursion, as opposed to a snowboarding adventure) for months on end, I was almost to the point of resorting to a permanent operation. I got multiple surgical opinions, all of which suggested I was a "good" candidate for disc replacement(s) and/or a lumbar spinal fusion, in that one or both of those procedures may resolve some of my primary source of pain, but due to my young age (22 years old), small stature (I'm 5'2) and desire to return to athletics, neither option were particularly recommended. I was advised to significantly alter my life, in order to (hopefully) reduce my pain. I was frustrated and heartbroken. This went on for almost a year. It was actually my mother in law who suggested I look into stem cell treatments, after a friend of hers underwent a similar procedure in Texas. I had previously had negative experiences with "alternative" medicine, and was quite wary of giving this idea any thought. My desperation for relief finally caught up with me, however, and before long, I was sitting in Dr. Huebert's office for an evaluation, MRIs, x-rays, and detailed medical history in hand. I had walked out of the previous four spine specialist's appointments in tears, calling my husband to rehash the lack of hope the surgeons had portrayed to me, as well as my own frustration. We both knew something was different when I called him with joy in my voice, and couldn't wait to tell him about the appointment. I went home and researched everything I could about stem cell treatments. I read the clinical studies, watched patient testimonials, and spoke with friends and family in the medical field, as well as my own previous physical therapists, athletic trainers, and physicians. The general consensus was this: While its success hadn't been proven yet, neither had its consequences. When it came down to it, the list of possible negative outcomes of getting stem cell treatments was FAR less than that of having back surgery, regardless of how great a surgeon I went with. So, after much prayer and petition with my husband, family, and God, we decided to proceed with Dr. Huebert. It's been almost one year, exactly, since I had five lumbar stem cell injections done by Dr. Huebert. Everything about the process (aside from the obvious discomfort of the procedure, and the weeks immediately following) has been better than I ever could have asked for. From helping us figure out a financial plan, to offering reassurance and support all along the way, I truly could not recommend Dr. Huebert or his practice any more. I can't finish up this review without mentioning how awesome his medical assistant, Meghan has been, as well. Since being given the "go ahead" to return to exercising to my fullest capacity (approximately eight months ago) -- my back has never felt better. I'm no longer reliant on pain medication, ice packs, and epsom salt baths just to get through the day, I can enjoy being active with my friends and family, and most importantly, I feel like myself again. I will forever be grateful for Dr. Huebert and his team for what they have done for me, and should I need back care in the future, he will undoubtedly be the first person I seek advice from. In addition, his current staff is the best of any clinic/hospital I go to. At 76 years old and having lived an extremely rough life as a farmer, I have had plenty of worn out and otherwise injured body parts and Dr. Huebert always has a way to fix me up. I am so glad I was referred to him by my PCP. He is top notch. For reference, I was an Army medic and have multiple university degrees in science and engineering so I am certainly in a position to notice medical excellence when I see it.
