Have had consistently exemplary and personal care from everyone at Orthopedics NW. I began visiting sthe practice back in 2009 when I started having knee pain. Too young for knee replacements, Dr. Wilson treated me for years with steroid injections and referrals for PT. When my left knee finally went out in 2013 and the right knee in 2015, Dr. Nanson was my surgeon as Dr. Wilson was no longer doing surgery. The transition of care was seamless. Having a medical condition that is now well known, I made sure to bring information to Dr. Nanson who read up on the condition, and with the asstance of a wound care expert, took special precautions that he later incorporated into all surgical recoveries. When I recently started having severe hip pain limiting my mobility, and my shoulder tendinitis decided to join the pain party, I didn't hesitate to seek assistance from Orthopedics NW. While we are still trying to identify the source of hip pain, the doctors and PAs I have seen have provided the same level of personal care and compassion. Xrays and MRIs will hopefully lead to a diagnosis and a path to regain my mobility and end the pain. My shoulder was far easier to resolve, the steroid injection gave my shoulder the relief it needed, calming the area and reducing the inflammation. The front office is as kind and efficient as the pool of doctors. Knowing my pain level, they not only sent the MRI referral immediately following my appointment, they called the facility to verify it was received. Then called me to let me know I didn't have to wait, that I could call Rayus to schedule. Had MRI appointment scheduled within an hour if my doctor visit. That is rare! Sure hoping another surgery isn't in my future - I am already bionic enough - but if it's required, I know Dr. Nanson will perform the surgery with the same precision and post surgical care as the other two surgeries. I have referred several friends, some have had hips and knees replaced, and all had same experience as me. read more

After five months I felt it important to update my glowing review of the hip replacement surgery done by Dr. Nanson in December. My activity level is far higher than pre surgery. I am playing tennis three days a week, cycling, and hiking. I was skiing again after four months. It is as if I never had a bad hip. No pain, and zero complaints. I give up! I have tried over a month to get an appointment with Dr Puska. I already have e-mailed (twice) my medical records. The were lost twice. The office staff seem overwhelmed and admit that they don't have time to listen to their voice mails. Dr Puskas refuses to see a patient unless he sees their records first. What if you don't have any records and you have an orthopedic issue that needs an evaluation? I guess your SOL with this prima donna. Remember that just as you are deciding which patients you choose to do surgery on, your patients are also judging you. I should not have to call your office 4 times a week for 4 weeks to get through to office staff and to be blocked from getting an appointment. I'm a patient, with a real medical issue that requires surgery. I have been to two other orthopedic surgeons who were willing to see me in person and have me bring my medical records and MRI. They both agreed that I need shoulder surgery. I have chosen one of these surgeons to do my surgery because it was easy to get an appointment, the office staff were on top of things and I was treated with dignity. Dr Grew replaced my right knee at Meridian Park Hospital on March 25th. It is now May 7th and I am completing my Post Operation Physical Therapy. I am ecstatic with the surgical outcome and the therapy. The entire process, of reaching out to the Doctor, dealing with the front desk, getting an appointment, selecting a surgical date, and working through the hospital orientation could not have gone better. Took an hour from the time I checked in until the time I was seen by a doctor for my scheduled appointment. This is terrible considering they charged over $400 to examine my shoulder. I hate that doctors feel they can be extremely late but if I show up 15 minutes late they'll cancel my appointment and still charge me. read more

My husband had a hip replacement with Dr. Christopher Nanson and he and his staff made the entire process very easy for us. He is doing very well in his recovery now. Dr. Nanson has done so many of these procedures that he's an expert. He is also one of only a couple of surgeons in the area who do an anterior hip replacement, which is a less invasive procedure that posterior hip replacement. We highly recommend Dr. Nanson. I tried to make an appointment here (based on the good ratings), however, after close to one month of run around I was told that the doctor does not see adults. Give me a break! Why waste my time and energy trying to make an appointment only to be told I cannot see the doctor. These people are rude and incompetent! read more

The administrator Lily is seriously lacking in management skills. She does not contact you back upon complaint. Her employees in billing are horrible. The man that answers the phones all of the time, is also really rude, transferring me to the wrong person, cutting me off mid sentence. Telling me I'm wrong about my own situation!? The woman Nancy has serious anger issues and cannot answer questions properly, she does not know what she is telling you and argues with you. She is unprofessional and absolutely rude. Had a hip replacement in 2014 By D r. Nanson and all went well . Recently had knee replacement but totally different story ! Was experiencing continued pain 4 months postop and lack of progress with physical therapy. Had to push to be seen and was put off to his PA . Had xrays which I was told were " normal ". Then to stop PT for 3 weeks . No improvement. Then test for infection .results were ready 2 days later but nurse didn't know how to read results . 5 days later called office requesting results . No response so my husband went to office to get results . PA scheduled appt next morning . Dr nanson became defensive that we wanted results when ready and had "bothered" his PA . He then started yelling at us that he's busy doing 14 hour surgery days and can't be bothered with phone calls ! By then I was in tears ( never in my life has this happened with a provider - am a retired nurse !!) I tearfully let him give me a steroid shot in my knee . I was fearful of ever seeing him again .Never apologized for the outburst ! Just had another surgery by new surgeon who found a chunk of cement left in my knee from the implant !! Would NEVER recommend this arrogant surgeon and think his practice is more on making money doing surgeries and not safe patient care . read more

After a bilateral (two at a time) hip replacement, I am 100% sure that Dr Christopher Nanson was the best choice. Every piece of the picture was excellent. Dr Nanson did an amazing job, his staff and recommendations no less wonderful. The office staff is very rude, it takes days to get any call backs and when I do they never have an answer and will have to get back to you. They knew my wife had to travel a hour and a half to get to her appointment from out of town and they forgot to schedule the MRI machine even though the appointment was for an MRI and told that we would have to make another appointment on a different day. Then less then 1week before her surgery they told us during the pre op that we needed to pay a 500 fee now or they would cancel the surgery and reschedule. The could of told us about it two months prior so that we were not put out but they did not. They also refused to allow us to pay a couple days later when I got paid. The rude response from the assistant was go borrow it! If the doctor wasn't one of only two doctors that does the surgery I would not allow my wife to be seen here. The doctor is nice but the staff makes it very obvious that they don't care about you or know what they are doing. If you can I would avoid this place. Orthopedics Northwest is a horrible place to go to. read more
