Things broke down in my subsequent visit with her since her follow through with ordering physical therapy was delayed by several days. We agreed upon a treatment plan of only medication and PT during that visit. About two weeks after my visit with her I developed increased pain and reached out to her to adjust my medication. A gentleman called me the day after I left a message around 9:00am to get more information but when I had heard nothing by 4:00pm I called again. Surprisingly someone actually answered the phone which had never happened before during my several calls throughout my evaluation and diagnosis. But I digress. Apparently sometime during the day Ayumi responded that I needed to reach out to my primary care provider. I have no idea if I would have been called with this message the same day. I took this to mean that she had discharged me from her practice. I really would have appreciated it if she had told me that at our last visit because it is now 4:30pm on a Friday and my PCP does not work on Mondays. So I will sit here in pain until Tuesday. I cannot recommend this practice since they appeared to have abandoned me as their patient and I will be reaching out to the Board of Registered Nursing with my complaint.

I was looking for a second opinion about what to do next, when I was refered to Dr. Keenen. After reading the many negative comments about spinal fusion, I was reticent to choose that procedure. Dr. Keenen listened to my history and my concerns. He presented the options clearly and made sure I understood, for the first time, the risks and benefits of each. He presented a timeline of events post surgery. He used my MRI, back models of spinal fusion and video to explain the procedure. I decided to move forward with the spinal fusion in November 2017. It has now been a year since my surgery. My results, both short and long term, were exactly as predicted by Dr. Keenen. I'm extremely pleased with the outcome and with getting my life back. I'm grateful to Dr. Keenen and his staff for their knowledge, expertise and compassion.

My husband was 10/10 on the pain scale for days and we were desparate. The injection worked immediately and was a life saver. Yes, Dr. Jimmy may be a cowboy but he knows what he's doing and he'll be the frst to try new FDA approved technologies. His curiosity and willingness to try new things is exceptional. If you are looking for someone conservative, he is not for you. I then saw Dr. Jimmy myself for back pain due to a car accident. He got me an MRI ASAP whereas I had been given the run around from my PCP and insurance. He started me on some experimental non invasive peptides which made me feel better immediately and gave me a lumbar injection. we were trying to avoid surgery, but ultimately after 8 months my herniated disc was causing muscle paralysis so I ended up with surgery, but he helped me through the process and continues to be a part of my care team. He is a compassionate man, a little loosy gooat on staffing and offerings, but if you are open to trying new things, he's worth checking out.

I already knew before I even got started that I needed surgery, but I still had to go through FIVE appointments just to get the surgery scheduled. This stretched out for well over a month, with me being in pain the whole time. Every time I needed an appointment, I had to call them, talk my way past a useless robot, and then get put on hold for an obscenely long time. Then at the office, they kept me waiting 30-60 minutes past my scheduled appointment time every time. Maybe your office wouldn't be so hopelessly swamped if you didn't force people to go through a ridiculous number of unnecessary appointments. When I finally got the surgery scheduled, I had to go to a hospital very far away in Oregon City, even though there are plenty of closer options, and communication on the day before the surgery was not as clear as it should have been. On the day of the procedure, I was forced to wait outside in the cold and then walk a long distance around the outside of the hospital, while starving, all because of blatantly wrong signage on the hospital. After the surgery, they referred me to physical therapy, who refused to take my insurance even though it is a division of the same company, forcing me to enter another round of phone tag and ultimately figure PT out on my own. They gave me a brace with pads that fall off way too easily, and told me that I was required to wear it everywhere at all times. Well surprise surprise, some of the pads got lost. When I called them to ask for help replacing the pads, they were unable to help, leaving metal digging directly into my skin. I ultimately had to remake the pads myself using supplies from a crafts store. They also failed to provide me with the crutches I needed, and I had to supply my own. I needed multiple doctor's notes for my work and for the Employment Office. Are you sitting down? ROC charges you $30 every time you need a note. My insurance already paid them over $60,000, but why miss yet another opportunity to nickel-and-dime patients and kick us when we are down? I think this is disgusting and greedy (although it is not illegal). ROC subjected me to every hassle they possibly can. This experience was extremely stressful, and the whole process could have been completed in just the time it took for the surgery to be scheduled.

From the moment I arrived, from the desk staff, to my first nurse, to the anesthesiologist, to all the people in between - *everyone* introduced themselves by name, asked me mine, and CLEARLY explained what was going on in every step as I prepared for my surgery. Yes, it was as efficient as an assembly line, and no, I didn't feel like a farm animal/ Once my surgery was complete, a staff member stayed with me the whole time, making sure I was OK, giving me ice chips, and talking with my husband about when to pick me up. For day surgery, this was about as good of an experience as one could have.

Due to Wanchoo, my daughter, who wanted help, thought she was crazy and I was terrified to advocate for her. I discovered Radiant via a friend who was walking her own journey of pain, and thought it sounded strange, but was up for anything that could help. Radiant offered a free session (I think they still do) so I decided why not give it a shot. After that first session i couldn't believe how I was feeling. I was ecstatic at the first pain free few hours in the last decade!! I immediately signed up for a full course and had daily treatments for the first couple of weeks and then tapered back to once or so a week. Over time the pain relief was substantial and I was able to get completely off the meds. I was 70-80% pain free. My pain became so much more manageable and felt I had my active life back. I can't recommend this company any higher!
