He spent 45 minutes on the phone with stupid walgreens on his vacation to try to get me my medicine. you can just tell he loves his job and is very good at it. Doctor Puziss is the best, I had surgery on my shoulder and went to Dr. Puziss for an impairment rating after 18 months of seeing other doctors and PT's, it only took him a few moments of watching my movements to discover that my surgery had failed. My husband was injured at work and we went through a year and a half of runaround with other places and doctors. When we were at our last chance to change doctors, Dr Puziss came highly recommended among the medical community for his decades of experience and expertise. Dr.Puziss was the only one to begin to make sense of my husband's pack pain and he never gave up working through the difficulties of finding a path to recovery that would work for my husband. He started with the least invasive options and worked through all of the different ways to approach it. He has so much understanding about the various causes of pain that he was able to come up with different approaches until we found an answer. I just tried calling this Doctor to make an Urgent appointment as I slipped and fell down my stairs today, and severely injured my foot. Their website clearly states that "Urgent Appointments Accepted" however the receptionist that answered the phone was of absolute zero help!!! "I can't book your appointment until someone verifies your insurance" No problem I say, I have PPO Insurance and would love to have someone from your office make a 5 minute call to verify my insurance. She then goes on to say well it will be at least one week before someone can call you back. REALLY??!! Why advertise you take Urgent Appointments?! Hire better/more qualified front desk/receptionist that actually cares about the patient! This review is solely on my interaction with the receptionist and has no reflection on the actual doctor. read more

They need better front desk personal they made a big fuss about taking 45 mins to fill out paperwork and since I didn't show up 45min earlier I needed to reschedule. Then I took 10 mins to do the paperwork and it still took the doctor long sass time to see us. They want their patients to get there early when the staff don't even consider the patient time. Don't do it....terrible front office. Gave me such a terrible time trying to collect my medical report for my Disability payments. Then when I lose it after 6 weeks of waiting, the Dr. releases me as a patient for raising my voice. " I yelled Give me my medical report!" She told me I would have to wait another 30 days( on top of the 6 weeks) , just to pick it up myself. She honestly was just trying her hardest to upset me, which she succeeded. What is funny, and I do laugh at this, he gave me a cortisone injection, I told him steroids makes me aggressive, I asked will this be a local drug or systemic, he said local. The injection made me very depressed, moody, anxious, and aggressive. I'm like...You were the one who caused me to go crazy than you fire me...lol. Seriously, the front desk's attitude sucks, they are very controlling, with absolutely no compassion, they all should be working in a prison and not a medical facility. read more

Dr. Puziss has this off-putting practice of dictating whatever's going on into a hand-held tape recorder. He asks you a question, then while you're answering it he repeats his version of your answer in to the recorder, and since you've been interrupted you naturally stop, but then he proceeds with another question. This wouldn't be so concerning except that he never seems to actually review these copious notes he's taking, since every time I return to this office (at least five times so far) I get asked the same group of questions as though it's my first appointment. So much time is spent reorienting the doctor to my situation that there is hardly time to make any progress, especially after waiting half an hour to forty minutes past the appointment time. Speaking of the wait, every time there has been a buzzing fluorescent light in the waiting room, and it gets louder every time. Do they not have building maintenance? It seems crazy they haven't fixed, or even seemed to notice this irritant. It also seems odd that Dr. Puziss relies on imaging so much, yet waited until only recently to order MRIs. He ordered one set which he glanced at for all of about twenty seconds, then declared that everything looks normal for someone my age despite the severe pain I've had for almost a year at this point. He then mentioned that "you can't tell anything from these, anyway" before ordering yet another set of images. It is confusing that he finds the images unreliable, yet orders more, and also declares that he has no idea what's causing this pain since, by his estimation, everything looks 'normal'. Aside from referring me to PT, which any doctor would have done, he's done absolutely nothing, and implies that he plans to continue this strategy. I can't tell if my condition is beyond his depth, or he just doesn't care. I'm only leaving two stars so I don't feel like this has been a complete waste of time. read more

Dr Puziss saved my life. I was in a car accident several years ago and had to have several surgeries on my neck and shoulder. A year later was still having chest and arm pain. Went to emergency room to rule out any cardio issues. Nothing showed up and they determined that it was a muscle or nerve issue. So going for several more months on that assumption still couldn't get the pain under control. With his urging went to a cardiologist and low and behold I had a blockage in my heart, as well as my legs. I was on the verge of a massive heart attack or stroke. Without his dogged determination to find out what was wrong with me I probably would have suffered tremendous damage to my heart. I am so grateful for his care, his professionalism, and his determination to help me. Has restored my faith in the medical profession. I just wish he could be my primary doctor. His staff is great and always nice to work with. Feeling better than I have in years. Still have a few things to work on but my quality of life has been increased ten fold.
