But Laurie's amazing! She was recommended to me by Michelle Graves (who is also amazing) when Michelle was on leave. I never thought about this until I read someone else's review but Laurie really is a wonderful listener with a calming presence. I've had a lot of stress in my life in the past from work and a car accident. Seeing Laurie improves my pain level and overall health. But I always leave Laurie's office much more relaxed and less stressed - I think in part it's her presence in addition to her skills as an acupuncturist. She takes care of muscle spasms, allerigies, insomnia, stress to just name a few. Like Teresa said, she will also offer suggestions for herbal remedies (even via email) and never pushes a sell which I've experienced before. I'm torn between Laurie and Michelle because both are the best. Bonus is Laurie has night hours. I do miss her Saturday hours though because it was nice to have the option to not cram in a session during the work week. She also accepts Blue Cross PPO.

He helped me pivot in such a way that I was able to finish naturopathic medical school despite many nearly insurmountable, disability obstacles. As a naturopathic student, I gave it my all to do things naturally and made huge, necessary strides, but it wasn't until Laurence planted the seed that medication is natural for the biochemistry of the ADHD brain, that my life started to change. He reassured me that there is no shame in taking medication in the pursuit of an equal chance at accomplishing my dream of gaining knowledge and sharing it with others. In a sentence: Laurence gets it. My grades immediately improved, quite drastically. Not only was I able to advocate for myself and others to receive academic accommodations; but I was also finally able to integrate medical knowledge and apply it in the structured, linear format of school and work. All without losing my creativity and outside the box thinking, per our therapy sessions together. The capacity I held for managing my daily activities and work-life balance also benefited from the increase in executive function, especially since I was able to start living the naturopathic philosophy and see real healing for the first time. In addition, the newfound engagement with my skills in the clinic re-inspired my motivation to keep fighting the good fight at medical school, paving the way for a more accepting future in education as well as medicine. 10/10 recommend the support of Laurence on your journey towards acceptance and healing while accomplishing your dreams. I will carry many of his words of wisdom and life hacks with me onward as both a patient and a doctor. Laurence always went above and beyond to ensure my continuity of care, was reliable, efficient, understanding, empathetic, honest, and always willing to go to bat for us [patients]! This kind of integrity is rare these days. Laurence, I truly hope our paths cross again one day! Cheers, Lianne Aglietti, ND.

My phone rang at 7:00pm and I was surprised to hear from him this evening after leaving a voicemail only a day ago. We were on the phone for 45 minutes, and in that time he asked me all about myself, my struggles with adhd symptoms, my past, and about his philosophy in therapy and medication..what type of approach he has for treatments. He listened carefully and intently to everything I said & he had such great and helpful things to say. He's not open for new patients, but he's looking for me and gave me a bunch of recommendations for amazing helpful books and websites. I have my bs in social sciences and I know how much that costs...and I used to work for doctors and I know how much their time costs...it's all very expensive, so for him to call me and generously gift me 45 minutes of his time & knowledge is just so invaluable I couldn't say thank you enough. If anyone reading this struggles with mental health issues like I do, you know why this is so important & why I am taking the time to write this. It can feel so hard to find good care, but what I experienced today in just less than an hour proves that there are great providers out there who love what they do & exist in this profession to truly help people.

Where do I start? Oh Boy…read more... I was in desperate need for a psychiatrist and my previous doctor was awful. So when I met Theodore, I felt wonderful because she discovered how I was feeling and immediately went to prescribing the medications, mostly doubling the dosage, which did help, so I'm not complaining there. As far as payment and overall communication, I didn't realize how bad things were until she was trying to take over my life by asking me personal questions- like about my sex life, which I would t even tell my best friend, especially someone I don't feel comfortable with. When I first started seeing her, I was in a bad spot, and without revealing my mental health condition, I felt like I was coming back to life, but then all the judgements came. I lost a substantial amount of weight bc she prescribed me monjauro, yes you heard it folks! When the drug was doing its job, she constantly asked me about what I was eating, blaming me and making me feel guilty for losing the weight bc that's what it does. She preyed upon my overall vulnerable state. There were sooo many red flags that I ignored. It was as if I was in a police state and I had to depend on her guidance. She never smiled, was overall intimidating and scary. She overcharges obviously, but coming from a family with means it wasn't a big deal until she started asking me about my income and when I confronted her she gave me some bullshit answer. So I wouldn't have to pay $800, yes $800 folks, I fired her explaining why in a brief text and her response was "okay." I know like can be tough and it's so hard finding care, but you will be more messed up after her. Fortunately I have a strong support system, but I am sensitive and now I'm questioning everything about myself. I implore you to do your research before finding care.

I was new to the world of therapy, but felt 100% concerned and cared about. After he left, I stopped going to the office. When I (mentally) realized I still need help, I went in search of his new location because his prior group gave me the 'I don't know where he went', which I thought was BS and their way of trying to make me see someone new in their office. No thanks. Upon seeing Dr. Pienczkowski, he again made me feel comfortable and safe, which is hard for a person like me who is used to helping others not having people help me. He is always very straight forward and concerned with my progress. So these horrible reviews are truly shocking. I give the Dr 5 stars, but only put 4 stars because the receptionist is not the most responsive. IE this week, I called in the early am and then again in the pm on Monday to discuss rescheduling my apt (due to work mtg), I didn't get a reply so I told my boss I would have to miss meeting. She called me mid-am Tuesday (day of apt) and said she canceled my apt, after I tried to say I didn't hear from her so I would keep the apt (so no cancel fee). She did put me in to see Dr two days later, so all worked out. Again, reading the horrible reviews is truly shocking. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but (again) being someone not comfortable with the idea of 'therapy'...I would refer him to every and any friend, family or co-worker.
