Without a doubt, committing to a 20 session Neurofeedback program at The Path Center was one of…read morethe best decisions I have ever made. I chose Neurofeedback to help myself move beyond a background of abuse, and to address two serious brain injuries from my youth. Early into the program I began to notice an overall more positive attitude emerging, as well a notable increase in my resilience to stress. Every session felt like it was building on the last, and throughout the 10 weeks, even though negative patterns sporadically surfaced, I continued to realize steady improvement in daily life. Gail Hardman-Woung, the clinic founder and director, and her amazing staff are professional, heart-centered, skilled, and conscientious. They maintain a clinic environment that is attractive and welcoming for their clientele. The Neurofeedback "LENS" sessions with Gail were especially enjoyable. Her knowledge and expertise was ever-reassuring. I appreciated that she took the time to show and explain the "brain-mapping" graph on the computer during our sessions so I could observe the healing progress in brain patterns each time. Upon completion of the program, I left feeling significantly more confident, clear, and grounded in myself, ready for a new direction and journey ahead. I am deeply grateful for the healing I received, and am pleased to highly recommend The Path Clinic and all they have to offer.

Marriage Counseling with Darcy We came to Cornerstone…read moreClinical Service for marriage coaching. My wife and I started going and we were driving to appointments together. Working through struggles Darcy suggested a separation for our marriage. This had no drawn out plan or timeline. This appointment was made as an unscheduled meeting and happened on a Friday before Mothers Day weekend. They wanted me to leave the home. Today we are still separated and I suggested forgiveness and reconciliation. Darcy abandoned us and said she was unable to counsel us any longer. So she suggests separation and then it doesn't work because there was no drawn out plan. Abandons us and says to find someone else. These are professional that are supposed to help in even the most difficult situations. We went 2-3 weeks between appointments which was so painful, especially when sessions were rough. I became hopeful as we finally had the first of 4 weekly appointments in September. I actually had hope these weekly sessions would help and allow us to work through issues. In that first session it was painful to hear her say she was unable to counsel us. No explanation could justify this. It was a feeling of total abandonment. This was right before the first of 4 weekly sessions. On top of that my mom just died 8/16/24 two weeks before we were abandoned. Stay away from this place and know a counselor needs to have a full plan in order to suggest a separation. This separation was a toxic plan that dug a deeper hole instead of drawing our marriage closer. Separation is not Gods plan, unless it's a domestic abusive relationship. The Bible and the Lord are the only resources that can be trusted. The Bible's word never changes. It's truth. It leads people toward repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation. Save yourself the pain and heartache and find wise biblical counselors. Most of these people don't charge anything and try love others.

Barbara gently yet assertively guides the sessions to help each person feel heard, seen and understood. She uses somatic and mindfulness-based techniques and has a deeper wisdom that is palpable. Her approach is far more effective than just 'talking about' issues and trying to shift them from a cognitive place, which I find so painfully limited, it is more relational, experiential and touches in to the core of things. I am very discerning when it comes to therapists, as I am one myself, and we even tried working with someone else who said they specialized in mother-daughter work, but after 2 sessions we chose not to work with her and continue looking. Laurence Eckman came into my life at a time when I needed his perspective and approach to patient…read morecare more than words could ever portray. He helped me pivot in such a way that I was able to finish naturopathic medical school despite many nearly insurmountable, disability obstacles. As a naturopathic student, I gave it my all to do things naturally and made huge, necessary strides, but it wasn't until Laurence planted the seed that medication is natural for the biochemistry of the ADHD brain, that my life started to change. He reassured me that there is no shame in taking medication in the pursuit of an equal chance at accomplishing my dream of gaining knowledge and sharing it with others. In a sentence: Laurence gets it. My grades immediately improved, quite drastically. Not only was I able to advocate for myself and others to receive academic accommodations; but I was also finally able to integrate medical knowledge and apply it in the structured, linear format of school and work. All without losing my creativity and outside the box thinking, per our therapy sessions together. The capacity I held for managing my daily activities and work-life balance also benefited from the increase in executive function, especially since I was able to start living the naturopathic philosophy and see real healing for the first time. In addition, the newfound engagement with my skills in the clinic re-inspired my motivation to keep fighting the good fight at medical school, paving the way for a more accepting future in education as well as medicine. 10/10 recommend the support of Laurence on your journey towards acceptance and healing while accomplishing your dreams. I will carry many of his words of wisdom and life hacks with me onward as both a patient and a doctor. Laurence always went above and beyond to ensure my continuity of care, was reliable, efficient, understanding, empathetic, honest, and always willing to go to bat for us [patients]! This kind of integrity is rare these days. Laurence, I truly hope our paths cross again one day! Cheers, Lianne Aglietti, ND.

My phone rang at 7:00pm and I was surprised to hear from him this evening after leaving a voicemail only a day ago. We were on the phone for 45 minutes, and in that time he asked me all about myself, my struggles with adhd symptoms, my past, and about his philosophy in therapy and medication..what type of approach he has for treatments. He listened carefully and intently to everything I said & he had such great and helpful things to say. He's not open for new patients, but he's looking for me and gave me a bunch of recommendations for amazing helpful books and websites. I have my bs in social sciences and I know how much that costs...and I used to work for doctors and I know how much their time costs...it's all very expensive, so for him to call me and generously gift me 45 minutes of his time & knowledge is just so invaluable I couldn't say thank you enough. If anyone reading this struggles with mental health issues like I do, you know why this is so important & why I am taking the time to write this. It can feel so hard to find good care, but what I experienced today in just less than an hour proves that there are great providers out there who love what they do & exist in this profession to truly help people.
