I was quoted $877 for the first 3 appointments and they went ahead and charged my card $1270.67,…read morecausing me an overdraft fee and stress. That is almost $400 more than I was expecting. That $400 should have covered 2 more of my required monthly 10-minute visits (which they charge at 20 min each for $200 each!). Despite continued outreach and extreme transparency *from the start* that I need each visit to cost as little as possible OUT OF POCKET, they said they already sent it to insurance, so they won't refund me the overcharge. If they had charged me as I had asked, or refunded me, I would have been happy to adjust my review, but now I will be starting over $1270 poorer on my mental health journey.

I never got so much as an email or a voicemail with a payment deadline. Then I got scammed by a fraudulent debt collection agency that had all of my personal info regarding MindRX, my appts, and my debt. MindRx is trying to obtain this $ from me when I've already paid it once. SO either they leaked my personal info, sold it to a non-secure source/ collection agency, or they themselves are scamming me/ too disorganized to understand what's happening. I have reported both MindRx and American Profit recovery for data breach and possible fraud to the HHS and CFPB Do NOT go to MindRx if you care about improving your mental health. This company is only in it to profit off of you and your misfortune

As far as actual care goes, while this place isn't experiencing COVID, is pretty mediocre. I went to see a therapist and see if she was a good fit, and she let me know that it was "offensive" to decide if I wanted to change therapists if I decided one wasn't a good fit. With that said, during COVID, they have tons of technical issues with ZOOM, and give no recourse for how to follow up with missed video call appointments. When I logged in on time to see the practitioner, nobody answered on the other end all 3 times that I tried to have a zoom appointment during COVID. The appointment reminders were set for 3 weeks before and 30 minutes before the appointment, which is pretty useless since I have to plan my life week by week due to my work schedule. About a month ago, I was given a call saying that I would be moving to a higher level of care within Hollywood Mental health, and that my provider would follow up with me for more details. Finally, I waited until TODAY to send an email asking what I needed to do to move forward with my treatment for mental health, and I received what looked like a letter of termination from an employer. Apparently yall send your termination letters in the mail, which, during COVID, the mail system is completely falling apart. At least leave a voicemail if you're gonna fire me.

Sprout Counseling in Portland has been one of the most unprofessional and careless therapy…read moreproviders I've ever dealt with. They strung us along for over two months with a therapist who eventually quit, leaving us completely without care during that time. Not once did they take real responsibility or follow through with a proper replacement. Even worse, they labeled situations as "conflicts of interest" that were completely fabricated--my therapist had no connection to my friend group at all. It showed not only a lack of awareness but a complete disregard for how damaging it is to disrupt therapy relationships over baseless claims. For an organization that advertises itself as trauma-informed, their behavior was the opposite. Leaving clients without therapy, failing to follow up, and making uninformed judgments only adds to people's trauma. It is negligent, dismissive, and harmful. Sprout Counseling does not deserve the trust of people seeking mental health support. Save yourself the heartbreak and frustration--go anywhere else.
