She listens, understands, makes you understand, and provides you with doable meaningful steps to get to the solution you want! And most importantly follows up with you! Worth her weight in gold! I cannot recommend Kavitha enough…read more I spent most of my life resistant to the thought of counseling. So it took an onslaught of hardships for me to finally reach out for help. I was lucky in that I stumbled upon Kavitha quite by chance during her time with the Petaluma Counseling Center -- and I am so very grateful I did. Kavitha possesses a gentle patience. She easily hears and reiterates what is being said underneath it all. She keeps focused and utilizes various metaphors and analogies to promote understanding of what is happening. She sees the patterns, the greater whole, and offers manageable homework bullet points to work on at the end of each session. She isn't shy to offer resources outside of herself when necessary, be it other counselors, workshops, books, or worksheets. For me, all of the relationships in my life changed for the better due to our process together. I see my patterns, their origins, and the inclusive whole of their influence on my past and present. I gained tools to handle my anxieties and depression, and to prevent overwhelm before it starts. I can hear what my bodies sensations are telling me, sit with the emotions, and better yet, put my needs into words - and those words into actions. For me, my time with Kavitha has been transformative. It has equaled better boundaries, new agreements, and deeper intimacy. When I first met Kavitha I faced a world of hurt and she helped me through the fires to peace. If you are reading this looking for someone to speak to, I highly recommend her, and wish you all the best.

Without a doubt, committing to a 20 session Neurofeedback program at The Path Center was one of…read morethe best decisions I have ever made. I chose Neurofeedback to help myself move beyond a background of abuse, and to address two serious brain injuries from my youth. Early into the program I began to notice an overall more positive attitude emerging, as well a notable increase in my resilience to stress. Every session felt like it was building on the last, and throughout the 10 weeks, even though negative patterns sporadically surfaced, I continued to realize steady improvement in daily life. Gail Hardman-Woung, the clinic founder and director, and her amazing staff are professional, heart-centered, skilled, and conscientious. They maintain a clinic environment that is attractive and welcoming for their clientele. The Neurofeedback "LENS" sessions with Gail were especially enjoyable. Her knowledge and expertise was ever-reassuring. I appreciated that she took the time to show and explain the "brain-mapping" graph on the computer during our sessions so I could observe the healing progress in brain patterns each time. Upon completion of the program, I left feeling significantly more confident, clear, and grounded in myself, ready for a new direction and journey ahead. I am deeply grateful for the healing I received, and am pleased to highly recommend The Path Clinic and all they have to offer.

*** Update: Irrespective of any privately held information regarding WA DOH's January 2026 charge…read moreof unprofessional conduct, the charge itself warrants disclosure on ethical and professional grounds. *** In April 2026 I reached out to The Path Center regarding counseling services. I informed THE PATH CENTER ATTACHMENT & TRAUMA HEALING I was reluctantly seeking a new therapist after recently discovering my previous provider of many years had violated me in unconscionable ways I will not detail further here. Mercifully, my insurance was inadvertently changed to a plan The Path Center does not accept prior to my first appointment, preventing me from receiving services from any of their providers. In my ongoing research for reporting my prior provider across states where they are licensed, I happened upon a January 2026 press release from WA DOH indicating a provider with the same name as one of THE PATH CENTER 's suggested providers was charged with unprofessional conduct. I shared this finding with THE PATH CENTER and was discouraged to learn that not only is this the same provider to whom I was referred in April 2026, but the clinical director was aware of the investigation into this provider's behavior from 2023 and 2024, allegedly including boundary violations of an illicit nature. It is unclear whether the clinical director had shared this with the intake team, which routed my case to possibly match with a provider actively under investigation for conduct of the same category as the violations I am actively reporting. For what it's worth, I had declined to schedule with this provider after the initial referral, as they were only available via Teleheatlh, and I explicitly communicated to THE PATH CENTER that I needed to sit across from someone to get a sense of whether I can trust them after my previous experience. It is unclear whether the referred provider's Telehealth only availability is in any way associated with the active investigation into their alleged boundary violations with patients. Seeing as I was drawn to this clinic by a positive review, I believe it is only fair and right that I share my experience so others may make more informed decisions about their mental health care.
