I came here to get a sandwich and their "famous" bubble tea. One of the biggest mistakes of my life. I received a bubble tea that had 15 baby tapioca balls at most and the flavor wasn't anything amazing. I went on to order a pastrami sandwich, however all I got was a sarcastic response and a laugh right in my face. So I conformed to getting the only sandwich they had, the only option I had was to pick the bread. There is no viarity when it comes to sandwiches. I sat down to wait for my food and ended up waiting 15 minutes for a sandwich that had melted cheese and cold chicken. It wasn't remotely fulling and on top of that there is some Asian women with one of the most annoying voices I've heard yelling out people's orders. I will never come back here. Ever. Great food, I ALWAYS recommend their chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. They are REALLY nice people that work there. Their prices are good and have a special smoothie deal on Fridays. (Not a fan of the Smoothies because they're powder based). The milkshakes are to die for though; get chocolate peanut butter milkshake. I seriously love this place. Their quality of drinks is really unmatched, at least in Newark. Their boba drinks are well made and don't just rely on sugar and fake juices. Not sure what to order? Just ask the staff. They're all super friendly and passionate about their menu, and they typically have great suggestions, especially if you give them an idea of what you're craving. For example, our server last night convinced us to try their warm ("latte") boba drinks, and it turned out to be PERFECT. I love intrinsic. Probably the thing I miss most about Newark. The food is amazing (and literally homemade), and the bubble tea is BOMB. They're also one of the few places I've gotten bubble tea that have the fruit bubbles as an option since I'm not a fan of tapioca. Fro-yo places have these bubbles as toppings for their frozen yogurt. They let you mix the bubble flavors -- so I get mango and passion fruit with strawberry mango bubble tea. It's so good. I remember when they first opened. I love how popular they've become. It's also super convenient for students that go to either Rutgers or NJIT since it's right there off MLK. Nice decor and environment, yet the food is barely palatable. Also the service time operation is at a snail's level. Ordering simple things as coffee and/or espressos take up to 15-20mins. I used to come here all the time during spring semester 2018 and I had to stop, I don't know what happened. They got a new crew or something Bc now every time I go there like 4 people are behind the counter and they have only 1 girl making the drinks... very slow. I remember the last and final time I've been there I waited about 40 mins for a small bubble tea! The one girl was doodling on the glass where they keep the pastries and she could of been helping making the beverages instead. Priorities! Another small cafe next to ramen gami and it has bubble tea, juice, coffee, snacks, onigiri, smoothies and even special day of the week specials. There is a small sitting area as well to chat and play games. Customer service is great and you can see the staff make the drinks right in front of you. I will say that it does get crowded quickly. This place is fantastic and is one of the best coffee shops in the area. The coffee is always fresh and the mood is always friendly and relaxed. You can order food which is home-cooked Chinese style dishes. The backyard and hookah bar is open during nice weather, and they have events year-round benefiting the students and the community. For those visiting, it's usually pretty easy to park right outside and the cops are always doing rounds in the area so it's very safe. read more

Third and LAST time coming here. The bubble teas aren't bad but the service and wait is terrible. Came here today and another guy and I had to wait 15 minutes for our drinks. There were only 2 orders before us. So that was a waste of time. Don't come here in a lunch break. This was my 3rd time coming here and everytime I come, I say no ice in my drink and I always get ice. So today I said please make sure there isn't any ice and there was. I said I'm sorry, I don't mean to make you remake my drink but this is the 3rd time I said no ice and I got ice. The Asian girl and guy who work there have been fine in the past.
