I was so stupid nervous about the audition I was taping and they were super chill and patient with me. Great notes helped get me out of my head and a ton of reassurance helped me shake the nerves some and get the takes I needed. They sent me my scenes before I even got home. I'll be back! read more

I've used Intrepid Tapes a few times now and each time I love them more and more. They are super responsive to emails, great confirmation/reminder messages when you book an appointment, fantastic readers and overall high levels of professionalism. Very quick turn around in getting your footage to you. Every person I've interacted with has been so friendly and their pricing is some of the best around. Bonus points because they're walking distance from my apartment, but I'd drive out of my way to tape with them. Definitely 5 stars! read more

Quick, friendly and easy place for all your taping needs. I did my slate shots here and they did a great job.

This place is everything you want in a self tape service! Easy scheduling - I got a response back in one minute on a Sunday night! The best pricing, central location, great readers, fast turnaround, and most importantly, your audition looks amazing. I've tried a few of the other places and Intrepid is far superior. I'll be there on a regular basis from now on. read more

Seriously, this place is the best. I've been to a few other places and none compare, I cannot say enough good things about them. Easy format to make an appointment Super quick turn around. Affordable, But most important is how comfortable they make you feel. I worked with Boone and he was so calm it eased my nerves. Thank you for this service. read more

I can not say enough FANTASTIC things about Boone, Ali and the whole Intrepid Tapes business. I was recommended to go there from my friend Meredith Salenger, and she did not steer me wrong. Boone and Ali were prompt in returning my email, and found a way to fit me in their schedule last minute. Boone is an AMAZING reader to work with and as an actor that means the world. You can really get an excellent take on the scene. They also emailed me my tape in record time, maybe 40 minutes even? I was stunned at how fast they were able to get me my work. And my agents at Gersh were thrilled with the quality. Oh, and by the way? YOU CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE. I'm only bummed to write such a great review because the next time I need them I will never be able to get an appointment because they will be booked solid! :) Intrepid is the ONLY place I will go when I need a great quality self tape. Bravo Boone and Stacy! read more

Picture it: your agent calls at 4pm and needs a self tape audition for a nice guest star role on a major network show. She needs the tape that evening or first thing in the morning. Your usual acting partners or unavailable to help tape! Intrepid Tapes to the rescue! I made a same day appointment for 7pm, prepared my sides and made the drive to Hollywood. I even got to park in their lot. I walked in and met Boone. He's awesome and professional. I did two takes, spent $10, and got an email with the link in less than 30 minutes later. I forward it to my agent. We are all happy. Both Boone and Ali are in the industry so they get it. This service is fast, efficient, very affordable and convenient. I really like how they do the editing and uploading for you. You should really come prepared and know your stuff. They're not there to be your acting coach. Do your homework, show up, do a few takes, and they will get your tape to you or your agent ASAP. I'm so glad that I found them. read more

Just worked with Boone and have only great things to say. Everyone I met there is professional, talented, and pleasant. Great equipment - my tape always looks good. Thanks, y'all! read more

This place is AMAZING! I had to self tape super last minuet for a role, first thing the next morning they tapped me at 8:30am and had it all done with in 30 minutes, Im so so happy with how it looks and sounds, they are really lovely and great people to work with and the lights and camera are awesome and look great! I would recommend them to everyone. I will for sure be using them for all my self tape auditions :) Thank You :) read more

I want to give this place 100 stars but Yelp will only give me 5. I had such an awesome experience at Intrepid Films. Ali and Boone are wonderfully friendly, professional, helpful, supportive, and will truly make a difference with the quality of your audition, both with the video and sound and with the acting. There is a reason they get such great reviews. They absolutely deserve them. read more

Intrepid Tapes far exceeded my expectations. They are very accommodating and, unlike the self-tape place I'd gone to before, aren't rigid about how many files they'll send you. What sets Intrepid apart, I'd say, is that the people running it are in the acting world themselves. Ali actually invested in the character when she served as my reader, really giving me something to react to, and her suggestions (which I solicited) were very helpful as well. Intrepid is definitely my go-to now for self-taping. read more

Ally & Boone are 2 of the most wonderful people in Hollywood and their studio is perfect for taped auditions!

Amazing!!! Always professional and last minute spots are taken care of with ease. They shoot in full HD too which is nice, and always prompt with responding to emails and questions :) Boone was amazing with my West Side Story audition and the audition Ally taped landed a callback! Their studio is also set up to record a variety of voice levels, unlike other competing studios that are in office spaces and require quiet scenes. I feel free to give my best takes at Intrepid!!! read more

They are amazing, I just can never get an appointment in time for my deadlines now because they are so popular :) If they added another room, and another worker, I think they could accommodate a lot more folks. By the way, I still think they are THE BEST readers for comedy in town. If you're a comedy person and you need someone not to eff up your timing on your 1/2 hour auditions, this is the place. Ha. read more

Without a doubt, the little studio that could! I needed to tape an audition for a network job for the same day, and in less than five minutes after visiting the intrepid site, I had selected a time and was set to go. Upon arriving at their location, Ali quickly set upon understanding the scene, giving me a 3 minute pep talk, and we began. She is a talented actor, who elevated my play with her own talent. Shortly after being finished I received my video. It goes without saying, it looked great, best $25 I ever spent in Hollywood. Highest recommendation possible to Intrepid. They will take you places you never been before :) read more

I met Boone and Ali right when they started this business and I was immediately impressed. Now it's been a year an they've grown so much. I recommend them to all of my actor friends any time anyone asks about self taping. So what makes Intrepid the place to go for this sort of thing? First of all, customer service. These guys always make themselves available to serve you. If they're too busy with other costumer appointments, they'll find a way to accommodate you ASAP. Plus Boone and Ali are both super friendly and fun to work with but also very professional. Secondly, efficiency. You tape, they send your footage. It's that simple. Done and done faster than anywhere else I've seen. Thirdly, quality. They're studio is small but great for sound and has great lighting. The equipment they have is all great quality as well. So you can be assured that when you're sending in your self-taped audition, you're going to be one of the few with top of the line footage. Lastly, price. Yeah, sure, everyone wants to use their iPhones and Macs to make their own tapes because it's free. But I'm pretty sure just about anyone can afford Intrepid's prices, especially for the excellent quality and good experience that comes along with it! I will warn you that parking isn't great. They're located on LaBrea in a shopping plaza, right above an ice-cream shop and liquor store. The lot is small and has a valet during certain hours and some spots are hour or less. But there is street parking around the area as well. You won't be searching for a spot for hours but just be prepared and maybe give yourself extra time to park. read more

Great pricing, excellent service -- Boone and Ali are amazing to work with!

Awesome service! Ali was great and accommodating! Great new website for appointments. Best thing is they're open on Saturday!

Fast, efficient, super-friendly, customer-focused, attentive, and sooooo reasonably-priced...much lower than a lot of other taping companies. I can't say enough good things about this place. It was so easy to schedule an appointment, and I was in and out in 20 minutes, with absolutely amazing videos for my audition. I was very impressed with the quality of the work. Will definitely be recommending them to all my actor friends. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this studio and it's staff. Everyone is so kind and professional; and they make the headache of self-tapes disappear. Their turnaround is extremely quick and there are no hidden charges or fees. These are fun, courteous people who are always prepared and who know how to run a business. I leave feeling confident in the quality of my audition and excited to send it off to my reps and/or the casting director. Thank you Intrepid for caring about your customers and for running a great company that truly supports actors! read more

I rarely write reviews. However, I was so impressed with this business, that I felt compelled to do so. Intrepid is a EXCELLENT service for actors. I needed to self tape for an audition. Ali set me up with a perfect recording. The lighting was good, the background was flattering, and the sound was clean. What's more, Ali not only served as a good reader, but she also offered great notes for redirection. Even better, I received the file within a half an hour! I will most certainly use this service again. read more

Absolutely adore Boone and Ali--great readers, great people. The film quality and lighting are excellent, and the turnaround was really quick. Tip: Book as far in advance as possible--they are super busy! read more

My highest recommendation. I've gone to Intrepid multiple times for self-taping and Boone and Ali are always professional, they work quickly and deliver great footage. Most recently, I asked them to help me take my TV and film footage and cut it into a reel. Not only did they give me a fair price but they took initiative to edit my scenes in ways that best emphasized my performance so that I didn't have to try and figure it out on my own. read more

FAST & EFFICIENT. Allie was awesome to work with. She met me at 8am and had me out of the studio in 30 minutes and sent me a link to my audition before 9am!!! Can't say enough good things. If you need to be put on tape this is the place to do it! read more

Such a great experience working with Boone and Ali. They know exactly what they're doing, it's quick, professional, and fun! Amazing! SO happy with my self tape. Such a comfortable environment and the lighting and quality of the tape and sound is so unbeatable. Ali also gave me some awesome advice that I used to tweak my audition and felt so great about it. The edited tape was sent to me in like half an hour! Can't wait to shoot my next self tape here again :) read more

This place Rocks! I am so grateful for their professionalism and kindness and ease of use. They got me in within a reasonable time, when I needed to get my audition tape ready and processed and I had my tape back to me within the hour. I don't know if it always takes an hour or maybe they were all caught up on their daily videos, but either way, it was speedy and good. The reader was another actor with insight on the industry and a good sense of character judgment when reading the role. I will definitely be using this spot again. read more

I've been acting for 2 years and every time I need an audition taped, these kids are my first and only choice. Things come up in the business very, very quickly at times. Sometimes I need something taped the next day and I have ALWAYS gotten a quick reply from them. They're actors too so you always get a good read and they're prices are competitive. Did I mention they deliver everything super fast? read more
