If you are looking for a nice place to stay in Tulum for a romantic couples trip and don't want to stay in the beach zone, this is a great spot. Each room has a private hot tub/jacuzzi on the balcony, which is heated and perfect for the winter months when the ocean or pools are a little cooler - or especially for taking a relaxing dip in the evening after dinner. The property is safe and secure, and just a little ways from the Tulum center. We had a rental car and parking there was much more convenient than being a few blocks closer in town with street parking. And for the quality of accomodations, the priced were very reasonable. read more

I wasnt sure how I felt about Intima at first. We had spent many days on the beach and at first we were taken back by the neighborhood, that was until we experienced it! I enjoyed intima for many reasons, but I want to highlight native tulum just outside the resort. We were not used to huts and such an active night neighborhood and once we experienced it, we were sold! I think the drive in can be intimidating if you are not open to learning more about the city, and this is what made the location of the resort so amazing. The whole resort was very clean and well maintained. The bar tender was amazing! Seriously, give that guy a raise. The rooms had AC! SCOOOOORRREEEE. We will definitely be booking with the resort again. read more

Well run resort on all counts; we would gladly return. Immaculate well appointed, spacious room with good kitchen, hot tub on the balcony, excellent bed. The grounds are a smartly cultivated jungle around a unique shaped pool (see pictures at website). Food and drinks all really well done. (Ask Antonio to make his Pina Colada French Toast for an indulgent breakfast.) Service was prompt, very polite and friendly. This is a clothing-optional very private world apart, very comfortable, not a sex scene. Ironically, the clothing-optional crowd is more friendly, gregarious and welcoming of fellow guests than you would find at a comparable resort, especially to those experiencing it for the first time. They congratulated us for being wise enough to see what a hassle clothes are in such a setting, and they are right! We packed one carry-on, it was all we needed for venturing out to town and for occasional restaurant visits. (Hartwood is a great take, we missed getting to Cetli, she was booked up.) read more

Yo!!! Treat yourself to this super chill, super cute adult clothing optional only resort!!! The staff is helpful, the bartender is cool AF! This hotel was so cool we extended our stay a night! Also. When u book there they give u a better rate than online! The hot tub in the balcony is cool! The beds are soft... plenty of good food in the neighborhood! U can walk or catch a cab. This resort is not one of favorites just to set the tone. It is not terrible but the pool is not heated which defeats the purpose when it's cold outside. I personally didn't have a bad experience with the staff or cooks but majority of my friends did. I speak Spanish and love the culture so when the cook brought my food out, I personally loved it and actually ordered it twice because I wanted to be completely stuffed but out of my group of 44, I personally witnessed over 10 plates go back out of the first 20 people from our group that sat down first for breakfast. There's only 1 jacuzzi and most places have 2. The walkways are extremely narrow. There's bo elevators. The wifi is very weak and I stayed right next to the lobby. The lobby is big enough for 5 people max and the roads to get to and from this hotel are not paved whatsoever and full of giant potholes!! The vans and cars all scrubbed and we were constantly jerked left and right at least 9 times just from the entrance to the resort which is only about 20 yards. (My brother is on football scholarship, my cousin played for Miami and now is on the NY Jets) I'm exceptional when it comes to yardage and im being generous. I gave three stars because the staff to me and me only was amazing! I loved effort. I would not stay again because I'm a dog owner and direct surrounding the hotel were starving and dehydrated dogs! They were all loose and laid out with rib cages showing. Absolutely devastating! You add that to the terrible roads and 15ft wire fence on the side of the hotel for the apartment homes next door to air dry their laundry... it's a no for me. If you're coming from the US as a tourist, this is definitely not the place for you. If you're going to see the lives of poverty in Mexico, this resort would be awesome for you because it's in the center of all that. I definitely tried to help out and feed the dogs but we hand trouble locating dog food in huge quantities. read more

Neighborhood very dirty, poor, trash everywhere. Hit by odor of burning garbage outside condo then mildew inside. Really hard for folks with asthma! I told them but no concession was offered. Later the property manager came into our condo w his wife without telling us. He sent me a text saying that his wife has asthma as was not bothered by it and how could it be the condo odor if I wasn't there(at the time he was)?Pretty unprofessional. We asked for fresh towels and were refused. Told us that they only changed them out every 3 days in addition to room cleaning. For a high priced condo, we expected more. Water sometimes didn't work either! There was nothing in the condo such as salt pepper paper towels...the basic stuff. The first day by the pool there were drunken naked couples fighting w each other and yelling F and C words, fighting over recliners! Really?? The noise levels increased at night after people were good and drunk. Blaring music, loud laughing, etc until 1 am. The quiet time is from 11 pm to 7 am. Didn't seem to matter. Also there were people doing innapropriate acts in the jacuzzi! Gross. Nestor behind the bar deserves 5 stars for his patience. He is a really nice guy working hard for his family. The management here is split so you can't depend on the front desk for anything. The landscaping around the condos was very nice and the patios were private. The condo was as pictured but had shoddy towels and a hard bed and pillows. It was spacious but still had a terrible mildew odor and felt very "cold". No books, cards, or anything like most vacation rentals. Advantage Vacations managed ours and I would not rent a place managed by them. For them to suggest I was faking asthma was unbelievable! They also said our condo was the only one w the water down. We found out later that this was not true. We also waited 45 minutes got checkout. Nobody showed up so we finally left as we had a schedule to keep. If you want to be naked and drunk, go for it! read more

Much better than we expected. The online photos just do not show the beauty of Intima. The staff, bartenders, chefs were all more than willing to do whatever you wanted. We have been to HBR a few times, no more, Intima blows it away on almost all counts. This is the new upscale C/O resort in the Caribbean........ read more
