I had called AAA to let them know that I needed my vehicle towed and even gave them the repair shop info. First they sent a company to try to jump it then they dispatched a wrecker. The guy shows up and would not turn off his motor so I could be heard on the call box to let him in, then he threatened to just leave after I waited two hours between the two different companies. Now I get my starter replace by my mechanic and my power steering is acting up which was not like that before it got towed. My mechanic has been a friend of mine for 20 yrs so I trust him. If Interstate comes to tow my truck in the future I will send them away. Do not let these people tow your vehicle!! read more

After a day when everything was going wrong, my car would not start. And, after trying to jump it, it still was dead. AAA sent Scotty from Interstate Towing to rescue my Murano SUV. I have an 8 ft clearance on my garage and the large tow truck clearly was not going to make it. So, Scotty, from the start, was positive and said he would handle it. (My car was parked in the very far side of the garage, away from the exit.) Scotty physically pushed my car through the garage and figured out a way to deal with the garage ramp. Within a half hour my car was at the shop and Scotty left with a smile on his face. Scotty was committed to doing the job, and alleviating my anxiety. Great guy. Great service. read more

This towing company doesn't deserve a star. Check the date on any good reviews. They are all from over two years ago. Some date back to 2011. All current reviews are negative. They have no respect for property. Our unfortunate experience was that the driver parked his truck completely blocking our driveway. He refused to move. The only thing worse was dealing with their office. They did not care that we could not leave our driveway. Horrible experience which according to all recent reviews is how they operate. When dealing with a flat tire recently, I called AAA (I'm a member) who dispatched someone from Interstate Towing to come out and help get the spare donut tire installed, until I could get the tire replaced professionally. Luckily I was able to get my car to my home driveway before the tire went totally flat, so the guy came right out to my home within an hour of placing the call. He was able to remove the flat tire and install the donut within about 15-20 minutes, and then I was on my way. Overall, not a bad experience! read more

Yelp says Interstate Towing is closed - wishful thinking! The driver couldn't have been nicer but the faceless, cowardly dispatcher and supervisor were clearly Hellbound. Our truck broke down in Deerfield - 1000 miles from home and squarely in an 'unfriendly' neighborhood. Tow truck was able to take the truck but not the trailer it was hauling. We arranged a rental truck to handle the trailer BUT it had to be picked up within 30 minutes (dose of business). Though we were willing to pay for the 2 miles 'out of the way' for the towtruck driver to drop my husband off at the rental place, the dispatcher actually instructed the driver to leave my husband on the side of the road - forcing him to run 2 miles - in work clothes and carrying his briefcase in the 85 degree heat - through the questionable neighborhood to get the rental. If we weren't able to get the rental, we'd have had to abandon the trailer and its valuable contents. When I called the Interstate office to get clarification on the instructions (though I'd actually heard the instructions myself on the tow radio), the dispatcher told me that the company had no obligation to any people - only to move cars. I then spoke to a supervisor who wouldn't give me his name but reiterated that the company had no concern for stranded drivers or trailers. He talked over me through the conversation then had the nerve to tell me that I needed to not talk because "[he] hadn't given [me] permission to talk." I called Interstate the next day to talk to the company owner but he wouldn't talk to me. The person with whom I spoke said that Interstate had done AAA work for 30 years and that nothing I had to say or do would change that. I asked that the owner call me back but -big surprise - I never heard anything back. Hopefully, AAA will handle this contractor appropriately. In the meantime, anyone who willingly puts themselves in Interstate's incompetent hands should consider themselves duly warned. I'm giving up our decades long AAA membership after multiple and awful experiences with Interstate, who has the exclusive service contract in this area. The game is that if you need a jump, Interstate will use every nasty high pressure sales tactic to get you to buy a new battery. My son and 92 year old father-in-law were duped (on different occasions) to buy batteries they didn't need. My husband and I have withstood the pressure on a few occasions, though we were subjected to aggressive and brutal shame and scare tactics. AAA even offered us a $50 discount this year after hearing about the last one. When calling AAA, I request they append a note to our pick up order saying NOT to try and sell us a battery. Only one respondent has complied and he was so helpful and friendly that I'm sure he won't put up with these scoundrels for long. read more

After waiting for an hr Driver refused to bring car down, refused to contact triple a to confirm stand in name, when triple a re sent the tow back to them i called to confirm there won't be any more issues, dispatcher said that they sent the job back to Triple A, then went on to say "i saw you guys called Geico first but didn't want to pay the extra mileage fee and then you called triple a to tow it". Seems like they didn't want to tow the vehicle because they weren't able to charge the additional miles thru Geico. Also just found out thru Triple A that they weren't notified that he was returning the job which means they were going to allow my daughter to remain on the side of the road waiting for a tow that wasn't going to come. read more

When the guy arrived he was in the wrong location and called me and was already extremely rude on the phone. Once we got to the correct location he loaded my car onto the truck and then said that he was going to go on another job which I thought he was going to go straight to the dealer and we were going to meet him there because I had to fill out paperwork and he said no so I asked him for his name so that we could track the car if necessary since we weren't going straight to the dealership but he said no and started to get really upset. He then took my car off of the bed of the truck all because I asked his name and then started screaming fuck you at me and my boyfriend and then threatened to fight us. I have never been so ill-treated by any company in my life before. The man that came out to my house was extremely rude. He did not seem like he was in the mood to work today. He took one look at my car and left! I had to call this company on the phone to figure out why the guy left and they gave me a BS line saying it's "company policy" that they cannot enter my property to tow my car and that it needed to be on the street. So clearly the man couldn't wait 1 minute for me to pull my car out onto the street???? Then when I called the company I spoke to a very nasty assistant name "Cristian" who yelled at me on the phone, laughed in my face saying she didn't care if I liked their company policy or not... I asked her to look in her records because this is the exact company that towed my car to the spot it's in now, I haven't moved it. So they have "entered my property before" she couldn't even do that. Clearly they get paid by AAA just for coming out and doing absolutely nothing. I locked my keys in my car on Monday. My car insurance doesn't cover RA but they set me up with Interstate Towing. The lady on the phone explained there would be a $75 charge for the visit. I approved. The guy showed up, wouldn't tell me his name, tried one thing on my car (damaging the door and the paint job) and then said "we get the $75 no matter what, and I cant get into your car. You have to call a locksmith". So I called a locksmith who tried the SAME thing as Interstate employee, except he was successful at getting in my vehicle. I asked Interstate to refund the $75 because the issue wasn't that the vehicle was too hard to get into, it's that their employee wasn't qualified to be out there trying. I also told them about my car door and paint job being damaged and they said they wouldn't do anything. Horrible service and horrible customer service. Tow was arranged though Progressives tow service. Really bad experience. They were fast to call and say the driver would be there in 15 minutes, so I waited in the rain, instead of walking to Starbucks where I could have got a cup of Joe, breakfast and actually got some of my work done. Close to two hours later, the driver called and said he just had drop one more car, and he was on the way. A half hour later, they arrived. After hooking the car up, I get in the cab and he informs me we have to go pick up, and drop off another car before we can drop mine. I ask to speak to his boss and they tell me that's the way it goes, too bad. I tell him I have no desire to drive around with this guy and again I'm told too bad. The driver tells me, he'd be happy to just give me the keys to the truck, he's tired of them treating him like crap and making him out to be the bad buy. So, another hour give or take out of my way, we finally arrive some three +/- hours after my initial call. Now, the guy cant back up a tow truck. Really. I'm not talking threading a needle, I'm talking basic backing skills, nothing fancy. You can bet the guys repoing the cars are 1000% better at backing their trucks into tight spots. Frustrated, my mechanic finally tells him to drop it anywhere he can, so we can push the car where it needs to go. Maybe next time, I'll just call a friend to push it from the beginning and save all the time and heartache. All in all, about typical for South Florida towing companies, sadly, I'd expect no better, but I'm keeping the card so if there is a next time, I'll ask to try someone else. Fast forward a couple of weeks and now the owner keeps claiming it wasn't them. No apology, just keeps telling me I got it wrong. Really? Was this all a bad dream or am I psychic? Funny, I was in their truck, the address and phone matches, and the driver gave me a business card. They many not have a contract with the company Progressive uses to book their tows, but it absolutely WAS their company. read more

He had not shown up by 4:25 and we called his cell back 3 times before he answered. He told us that he was pulled to do another call. I'm needing a tow so got on the website..I am surprised at the bad talk and ratings. Our guys have been very helpful. You might want to consider that their job is quite a hard one. All hours, the heat, the work involved pulling those cars up, not to mention they have to move fast because there are other cars needing towed and people stuck on 95, I.ve always have been happy with their service and I tip them,,it is a hard job. Of course, those needing their car towed are in a bad way, take a deep breath, they will help you. It is either that or push your car home. Be nice. Accidents and breakdowns all the time and they have always tried to get to us ASAP. They notifiy us by phone to let us know how soon they will be there. This is better for all concern. read more

My car battery went dead in the Boca Raton Regional Hospital parking lot on Saturday afternoon. I called AAA and in less than 1/2 hour, a courteous young man named Marko from Interstate Towing was at my car. He checked my three year old battery and gave me the option to jump start it and then have it recharged the next day or purchase a new AAA battery with 3 year on site replacement by AAA anywhere in the US or Canada for $125.00. These people are terrible. Im a AAA Premier customer and should expect good quality and timely service right?? I call triple AAA at 7:50 A.M and Interstate Towing doesnt arrive till well after 9.The tow guy takes me 1 mile up the road and tells me he cant take me to my destination and that i'd have to wait for another tow truck because they are supposedly "busy". My destination is well under 20 miles. I call AAA again to see who is actually going to service me and not waste my time and the first station to come up for my location is station 8122. The station that took me a mile up the road for no reason when a road ranger would have done the same and NOT WASTED MY TIME. Terrible customer service, dont let them waste your time. This comapny sent a tow truck out to a call of a flat tires.. When they arrived they had no jack and no lugnut wrench.. They tried to remove nuts with the lugnut wrenh that came with the car and that wasnt working after the service guy jumped up and down on this flimsy little wrench. he wanted to tow me and I refused! When I called AAA back they said he had told them a light duty truck followed by a tow truck came That was a lie and that I refused to be helped! I call my wife and had her go to walmart and pick up a lugnut wrench. With that I was able to remove the nuts myself.. These guys were Awesome! Called for a tow through AAA, which gave us a 1.5 hour wait estimate. Interstate was there in 30 minutes. Our tow driver was Danny Jimenez. Our car was stuck in Park with an ignition switch/transmission problem, making it impossible to move. He knew how to disconnect the shifter cable to the transmission in order to get the car into Neutral...without damaging the car. He was quick and really nice to deal with. We got the car loaded up and towed with no problem. If you need a tow, call these guys. If you're calling through AAA, ask for these guys. And if you can, ask for Danny; he's the best! read more

AAA called this 'company' to pick up my car, an hour later the rude man put my car on the truck and gave me a company number to call because there was a dispute over payment. After overhearing the jerk of a 'man' (who may have been the owner) talk extremely rude about me over the truck's radio, he ordered the worker to take my car off. He took my car off and left. I called AAA and asked for a new company to pick me up and for these two people to be fired, even though I know they do not have that kind of authority. (I wish I wasn't serious about that). No customer deserves to be called any of the names I was called. AAA put in a request to hopefully end business with them so this doesn't happen to more people than it already has. Thank god for Joy Towing who came from a different county to get my car. Such pleasant people, call them instead! Jay was the best! I would not give even 1 star if that was an option. I called AAA for a tow at 5:40PM and Interstate Towing took over an hour to get to me on the corner of Yamato Rd and Congress Ave on 8/13/2015 after a traffic accident. After the drive picked me up and loaded my car on, we were on our way for a 20+ mile drive to deliver me and my car to Progressive. Only 5 minutes into the drive the driver got a call from dispatch telling him to stop and pull over as he had another car to pick up in the vacinity that was going in the same direction. We waited almost one hour to get the other vehicle to be retrieved and hitched. I did not get to my destination with the tow truck until 8:22pm. I made numerous phone calls to AAA to get this resolved and a AAA rep even called Interstate Towing to get the driver released to continue getting me to my destination. AAA was told that the drive would not be released and had to wait on the other vehicle. I then called Interstate Towing myself and spoke to the supervisor Joey, I explained the situation and said this was very poor service and I would be complaining in writing. Joey replied "have a nice life" and hung up on me. This is unacceptable treatment of a client and I will be following up with a letter to the company and a letter to AAA. I will NEVER recommend Interstate Towing to anyone. What horrible treatment of a customer, and one that was in a traffic accident and already stressed about the situation. read more
